Overall experience was good,very friendly staff assisting in the check in and willing to help.Although was disappointed as I request meal provision for breakfast as we do not eat beef and pork for the stay but was only provided on the day was leaving .The rooms are a bit small and had booked a deluxe room .There are lots of restaurants nearby to eat which are good things and walking distance.

Pros: I like the design of the room, where I can segregate the toilet / wardrobe area from the bed. The room isn’t big but it makes full use of the size of the room. I like the small corner where I can lounge and have food there. I like the shower where door is a mirror that will not be transparent to anyone outside. The toilet and shower is separately, which I also like. The buffet food is decent and is hot (I rarely come across any buffet food that is hot, thumbs up for that). Cons: The soundproof for the door is not done/ well done. At night, we could hear people closing their doors which is quite disturbing. Even though I was a member, I wasn’t offered any choice of late checkout, which is sad. The bidet in the toilet was very difficult to use - it takes a lot of force to press the lever so that the water is activated. Hotel will need to check that. The buffet range lacks Chinese food for my family as my mother prefers Chinese breakfast - there was only porridge and fishball noodles (and she can’t take yellow noodles). Overall though, I would stay again. The restaurants nearby are good for friends and drinks.

The location is right in the city itself but you need to have transport to take you there as it's quite hidden from the main road. At the reception, the people there are very friendly. When I went to my room, the bed was awesome. I have requested 2 beds and I am so excited that there are 4 pillows given for each bed. The only thing that, my bedroom is right at the end of the building, which also means that its surrounded by windows. Sadly, the view of my windows is all blocked by other apartments. I can practically see them and vice versa. No privacy at all. You have to keep the blinds down for privacy. The breakfast buffet is awesome. Its a combination of Western and Asian food. I would love to be back again but I guess not the corner room.

Had stayed at other Intercon hotels before, so quick mental comparison was possible. Would say it is more like a Holiday Inn plus. Woken by noises throughout the night, either from fridge or next door. Tried every hour to check the root cause but to no avail. Then, there was a lady screaming in Mandarin, either next door or along the corridor. Did not open the door to find out that. Narrated the encounter to reception and hope they tell maintenance to desist from working only during day time. But to stay at night in the room. Would need a lot of convincing to get me rebook with them, notwithstanding the proximity to the CBD business area.

The hotel is much better than is explained and promoted! Great location, an area with restaurants and pubs, and a lot of fun! Interior is elegant and rooms are equipped with luxury toiletries. Breakfast was okay with plenty of choice. The only negative is the absence of any drinking water at the pool area.

Booked a twin room. Close to Robertson Walk and Clark Quay. Our room does not have much of a view as it faces the apartments. Check-in is at level 4.

The service at the breakfast service was terrible. The breakfast restaurant location outside the hotel is not a normal or comfortable experience. CAtching two separate lifts and then going outside the hotel to use the facilities is not a comfortable or 5-star experience. Firstly there was no one at the 'wait to be seated' desk. Waiting outside in 30-degree heat wasn't comfortable. Secondly, we had finished our breakfast before our coffee arrived (after 3 requests). When it did arrive 30 minutes after ordering, the response was "We are just too busy". Really? Thirdly, the food replenishment and cleanliness of the buffet weren't good. We appreciate it was busy, BUT a hotel knows how many guests it has and should plan accordingly. The hotel didn't feel like a normal Intercontinental experience. We stay at many Intercontinentals around the world, and for our next Singapore Trip we will stay in the Intercontinental in the middle road, NOT the Robertson Quay. It was very disappointing.
