Struttura unica per il silenzio e il verde ben curato, ben tenuto. Ottima struttura per riposare, rigenerarsi.si trova in un punto in cui facilmente si possono raggiungere Siracusa, Noto,Avola,... e le zone balneari

Beautiful location but unworthy 5 stars, most of all for its cuisine. Room was decent, some more room amenities for guests, mostly arriving by plane, would be welcome. Moreover, writing that “ towels will be changed every 2 days” is not appropriate in a 5 star hotel, where guests play golf all day, on top in a warm climate. Care for environment could be handled differently. We took some golf lessons with the local instructor, also a disappointment, more occupied on his mobile than capable of transmitting golf skills.

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little worried about what the experience would be like. However, from the arrival, the staff were friendly and professional as well as being efficient. The rooms we had (three couples) were in the modern part of the hotel, overlooking the golf course with the pool to the front. They were all clean and well appointed with most things you'd need for a few days break. The service for the one dinner we had was great (especially the restaurant manager (Marco?) in a busy and pretty dining room, the food was good, not great but good and reasonably priced. Breakfasts were good with a good variety but I would agree with some of the other comments that freshly pressed orange juice would have been good to have. Lunch near the club house was nice but as many people finished playing gold at a similar time it could get busy and the service was sometimes a bit hit and miss but as the staff were friendly we found it more amusing that irritating. There was one waitress who looked very stressed and needed to smile a bit more! The pool which we though would be closed was actually open and we were able to swim along with quite a few others, it was missing a lifeguard which we were told about but that was not a problem (a bit chilly in October). The pool and surrounding area was lovely and well set out. Pool bar was shut as it was out of season. I has a massage which was excellent and reasonable priced however, the actual spa needs a bit of an update and was quite damp in places. Unfortunately the Turkish bath did not have heating (broken) but looked lovely. Overall, beautiful building and grounds (don't play golf so can't comment on the course but those that did thought it was ok), in a peaceful and tranquil position-bit expensive if you want to go to Syracuse (recommended) but then we knew it was roughly 20 minutes away (taxi for 6 was 60 euros). Staff were great and I'm glad we spent a long weekend there.

Other than one family review, all recent reviews are terrible and I can really understand why. I’m currently staying there so risking the wrath of management, however having been told she does not care what her guests think as long as you pay for the dreadful experience. Pre check in was helpful, coming for a golf break and travelling across Sicily our tee times were moved to suit us, good service. The golf course itself I would rate 2 out of 5 and the greens -1 out of 5 they were possibly the worst I’ve ever played on. Added to playing behind two locals who were more interested in Amore than playing golf to take 5 hours for a 2ball is not acceptable. Check in - I was required to pay in advance and told if I didn’t want to I didn’t have to stay. Hotel manager, who refused to talk to me, told me through receptionist that my views of as a customer did not matter, just pay or leave. Room, is fine I expect the usual reply to this” thank you for your comments and we will try to make things better” but it would be better if someone actually spoke to me and fulfilled their promises to make things better

Beautiful grounds of an old monastery! The breakfasts are fantastic, as are the dinners. Francesco in reception and Marco the Maitre’d were quite helpful. We didn’t have time for any spa treatments, but there were many available. We would return here.

Hotel should be downgraded to 3 stars. It's a complete disaster from start to finish and what a pity as the structure and surroundings are beautiful. This hotel lacks management skills big time. Staff are disorganised and completely lost. Only one person Marco should be praised as he was the only person trying to help. Breakfast is a disaster with coffee machines and juice machines you normally find in hostels. I have never paid for a 5 star hotel where you need to pay 5 euro for an omelette. Sicily's potential is the organic product and you get juices from a machine filled with sugars. Hotel pool was closed for 2 out of 3 days with a red flag. We went to check if there were jelly fish inside. They give you one towel for the whole duration and if you want to change you have to pay extra. Honestly I thought they were joking but they weren't. We asked for an iron, their reply was that they did not have. Room airconditioning just stops during the night. Room telephone does not work and I can keep going and going. We travel to Sicily 3 times a year and believe me there are agriturismo's without any stars who give their heart to the guests. Please reward these owners and not this amateur hotel.

Don’t book these guys are a bunch of thieves they keep prepayments and do not reimburse anything despite of not having been able to reach the island because of their constant fires one of them even burning the airport . Not recommended ….

This could, and should, be a good hotel but it was woefully understaffed on our visit. Dinner in the restaurant on the first night was poor - cold lasagne, overcooked spaghetti but the salad was fine. Several tables left and the staff were run off their feet. Breakfast the first two mornings was exactly the same but improved on third day. Bar staff lovely but overstretched helping in restaurant while three people sat at reception on their phones. Lacking staff and any visible management. Perhaps we just caught the hotel during a rough patch but have to say we were underwhelmed compared to the other hotels we stayed at on this trip.
