Reality compared to the pictures online is a bit different. The hotel os nit ”fresh” equipments are worn out and it is not clean. The bathooms are fool of someones elses hair, and it needs general cleaning. Someone was smoking in the room before. Stuff are ince and friendly. Bfast is ok, some veggies, and eggs. Once again , not what's on the pictures. Neighborhood is not very nice.

I stayed here for 3 nights I did not book it as it was booked through travelmedi, a medical company. The first room I stayed in I noticed after an hour has a horrible smell so I went looking and the bathroom ceiling was covered in mold and dampness. I had to leave the room to avoid it because I was after surgery and I didn’t want to breath it in. When I returned to the hotel that evening I was going to ask to change but there was a particular staff member who was quite rude so I decided not to but the next morning I called immediately to the desk and umit changed the room immediately he wasn’t surprised he is so nice and the house keeping staff were lovely when I changed they helped then I went to room 2 and had to change because the smell of cigarettes was unruly, umit again changed my room I went to room 3 tho there wasn’t a smell in the room it stil wasn’t the greatest I stayed in the room but I went to buy my own towels because the towels in this place just weren’t that clean I do understand white goes off color but I had surgery and didn’t want an infection also I had 2 blAnkets so I could sleep. Outside the covers and not use the hotel blankets. In hindsight I should have demanded the travelmedi compAny changed my hotel but I suppose they deal with cheap hotels so they make a larger profit. I did not sleep well for 3 nights it’s so noisy in all the rooms I don’t know what clientele they attract the reason I put up some pics is because tgere was a hole in the roof above the ac unit and there was damp stains on the wall and the bathroom ceiling was full Of damp and mold. Some of the staff were lovely others were not

I have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due. First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one! My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay. The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street . The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim. I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water). When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

I had a very bad allergy due to the lack of cleaning in the rooms. I was there to rest from a surgery. I struggled with the allergy for 5 days than they changed my room but it was dirty and the allergy went on. I see with my eyes that the cleaning woman did the cleaning in just 5 minutes for room. Literally 5 minutes. I was forced to change hotel.The day I left the guy at the reception was very kind and told me to came back the following day to have my money back. I did it paying my taxi and using my time. When I was there they told me that I have to write to booking.com. I did it and they told me they will not refound anything, not only the 5 day that I was there but also the remaining 7 days that I didn't use. They also told booking.com some lies like they have told me to speak to then manager which is not true. They told me they will refound me and to come back the following day and then denied what they had said. They also told to booking.com that I had no problems with my health for 5 days which is not true. From the first day I had this terribile allergy and struggled with it 5 days till I was forced to move away, if I didn't want to die.. instead of being sorry and mortified they took my money. All the money. Not just the money of the 5 days in which I was at the hotel but also the remaining 7 days in which I was forced to move away. And they lied to booking.com. Stay away from this hotel. Dirty room, awful breakfast and thiefs.
