Merici Hotel Sittard

Merici Hotel Sittard ★★★★

📍 Oude Markt 5-7, Sittard

"The hotel's location is truly fantastic – right in the center of Sittard, with everything within walking distance. Unfortunately, the room we arrived with was very disappointing. There was still paper on the floor, and the bathroom hadn't been properly cleaned. It was also noticeable that no Dutch was spoken at the reception, which made communication difficult. Furthermore, little effort was made to make our stay pleasant or personal. It's a real shame, because with more attention to cleanliness and hospitality, this hotel could be much better."

📍 Watersley 1, Sittard

"The staff is really friendly, the rooms are great and breakfast was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and we were amazed with the collection of biking jerseys. Defininately recommended. Nicely renovated monastry. Thank you for your hospitality."

"Our TV did not work. Batteries and technical service were/was not available because we checked in after 6 pm. Reported at check-out. Answer: thanks for reporting and sorry for that. However, no compensation or a cup of coffee for the inconvenience. Very disappointing. You book a room with facilities and then you want to use them. We did not make a fuss about it, it is not worth it, but it is a shame. Otherwise a great hotel!"

Fletcher Wellness-Hotel Sittard ★★★★
"Christmas Day Mother with 2 children 16 and 19 years old. Upon arrival we were told that the pool is only for naked swimming and that this was only possible from a certain age. So keep this in mind to avoid disappointment because it is not explicitly stated on the booking site. The family room was terribly dirty😵 I took pictures of it and showed them and asked for another room to make a long story short... 1st answer was not possible, no more rooms available When we asked to be transferred to another Fletcher hotel because this was really possible, a miracle happened... Suddenly there were not 1 but 2 double rooms available🤔 breakfast was fine, just pay attention to the glasses and cups, there were also a few that were not really clean."

"Perfect place to stay for race weekends. Nice clean room with a view. Excellent bed and pillows, best sleep ever (except for home). Breakfast was OK, only from 8.30 in the weekends, could be a little bit more early during race weekends Nice safe spot to storage your bike."
