We really enjoyed our stay and the hospitality of our hosts Karl and Rosemary. The room (Alice) was charming, the heat worked well, and the breakfast was wonderful. Karl when out of his way to make a take away breakfast and coffee for us since we had to leave very early (before the restaurant opened) a couple of the days. What great service. We were hesitant to stay here do to the high cost of rooms in this town, but we choose to stay here versus some very basic lodging options we looked at. The price here was a little more expensive but totally worth the extra cost.

From our first conversation with Karl, he was so accommodating. Food was great. Hospitality even better. Would highly recommend. Stayed in the Flo Room.

We enjoyed our stay at the Skagway Inn. Our family of four stayed in the Flo room and found it to be comfortable for all of us. The hotel is an older building so there is some unavoidable musty odor. We found the staff to be friendly but very busy. The breakfast provided was tasty.

Old Inn but complete lack of attention to detail and flippant attitude of staff very laissez faire. Numerous examples eg fan in bedroom half fitted into the raised sash window but nearly falling out. Hazard to anyone below, staff member just said not likely to fall on anyone. Supper salmon puff was like a rectangle of puff pastry with a small dollop of salmon paste in the middle. Dining room disorganised. Don't eat here go to the Skagway Fish company by the harbour Breakfast told no choice, that is no capacity to select items from those offered. Breakfast burrito disgusting. The whole place could be sorted out in a few days with proper hotel management and staff training I am sure. Of the ten or so places we have stayed in during our tour of the Yukon and Alaska this I would least recommend....

This hotel locates in heart of Skagway. Everything you need just right here. Stayed in shared bathroom room. No complains, the facility was perfectly clean. Breakfast isn't repetitive. Every day you will get something new. Also, they have a bar and restaurant on a main floor.

No refund! We decided to cancel our reservations thru. Bookings.com in December and rebook directly with the Inn per there sugestion. What we have experienced though is the hotels refusal to refund us our deposit of USD$355.32, even though we had met the cancellation policy of 30 days notice. After repeated emails without response to a Mr Karl Klupar as well as to their general info desk I have taken to media to share my experience and to hopefully warn other potential cancellation guests The room was way, way too hot. The windows did not have bug screens. The outdoor dinning area was very rough gravel. The Breakfast was always late. The on line pictures are very outdated, the place has fallen into disrepair

Don’t usually do reviews but sometimes you just have to. We stopped by and had lunch in their garden today and it was fantastic! They were so welcoming and the spot is a little oasis of calm on another busy busy Skagway tourism day. They welcomed us and our little puppy outside and our server Kristin was just lovely. Food came faster than a McDonalds but was So good. Ceviche and Smoked burger were amazing as were the custom spritzers flavored fresh from their garden. If the hotel as one half as good as the restaurant you will have made a good choice!

My husband and I decided to take a trip to Skagway to be there and see it for the first time in our lives after 25+ years of living in Alaska. We decided to stay at this historic Skagway Inn because we thought we wanted to stay in the most historic areas and facilities that we could come up with. We arrived and we checked in very early in the morning and then we went and did multiple things throughout the day ending up back there at roughly 5 o’clock at night in time to enjoy our first meal at the Skagway Inn-Olivia‘s. The meal itself was delicious We both loved our separate meals and were pleasantly surprised at how it rivaled everything in Anchorage. The salmon spread was delicious. We each had a salad and both salads were delicious. The meal was wonderful. Then we went upstairs to our room and got to look around there and it was everything you wanted to be. Historic on the walls, historic on the model, historic in everything in there. We just loved it. Breakfast was a set meal for all of us staying there. Partly made from their garden, it was light and refreshing. Are we coming back – yes. We loved it so much. We are actually going to reschedule and bring some of our family with us this time. It was just too wonderful to miss. And if we had a bucket list, this would be a huge checkmark on our bucket list.
