2W Lake

While visiting family in upstate New York, we had the pleasure of staying with Clark at his most beautiful and comfortable home. Not only was it exceptional for the facility, but Clark made the best breakfasts and was so welcoming and engaging! Just chatting with him was interesting and fun!! We would look forward to staying again, anytime we are in the area!

Beautiful B&B! Unfortunately we could only stay one night. Clark, the Inn Keeper has impeccable taste and has payed attention to even the smallest details at the inn. We had a warm welcome, a home made frittata breakfast w/ fresh berries and a lovely chat. We were a last minute reservation at the tale end of a snow storm yet we were welcomed like old friends.

If you're looking for comfort, quiet elegance and personality this is the place for you. Your host Clark is warm, inviting, friendly, a great conversationalist and quietly attends to every detail to ensure you have a wonderful stay. We stayed in the West Lake Room and it was spacious and comfortable with a great view of the lake. You can start and end your day sitting on the wrap around front porch enjoying views of the lake and center of town. If you have an interest in art and history, you can enjoy his beautifully appointed parlor with books about local history and beautiful artwork. You will thoroughly enjoy amazing breakfasts served on china with silverware and linen napkins. Each day, Clark sets out freshly brewed coffee in the morning on the front porch. On our first morning Clark made croissant French toast with chicken sausage and fresh berries. Our second morning Clark prepared egg in a nest with sliced avocado and fresh fruit. Everything was delicious! For lunch and dinner, several great restaurants are a block or two away. Clark has recommendations for every palette. While it may seem slightly more expensive than other nearby options, it is worth every penny, you will not regret your choice to stay with Clark. We arrived as strangers and left feeling as if we had gained a friend along with a love for this beautiful place. This was our first trip to Skaneateles and we cannot wait to return to 2W Lake!

The house is beautiful, spotless, and perfectly located within walking distance of the lake, restaurants, shops, and galleries. Clark provided information and recommendations that made our stay memorable. And Clark's breakfasts were easily the best meals we had in town. Staying here was the perfect quick getaway for my husband and I. Clark was an amazing host and his morning breakfasts and conversations were wonderful! The accomodations were impeccably clean, and Clark was helpful in his recommendations of local restaurants and activities. The location was perfect to be in walking distance of the lake, shops and restaurants. We will be recommending to friends and family. An owner/host who truly cares about his place and guests!

Stayed 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. House is beautiful and in a prime location within walking distance of everything the town has to offer. Breakfast was incredible served on the front porch just across the street from the lake. Clark and Harvey are wonderful hosts. All around wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful winter weekend here. Clark is the consummate host and his home is lovely, so tasteful. Excellent beds and linens, gourmet breakfasts. Sparkling clean, enjoy all the gorgeous windows and rainbow prisms from the leaded glass. Stunning.

I have been visiting Skaneateles for many years. Staying at 2WLake was the best experience I have ever had. Clark has a gift for hospitality plus in depth knowledge of the area. I can’t wait to go back!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at 2W Lake B&B in Skaneateles. Clark was an amazing host and the house could not have been in a better location. Our room was comfortable and relaxing and the house was so inviting, especially the front porch. The beautiful lakefront of Skaneateles was a lovely view and everything in town was easily walkable. The house is kept extremely clean and beautiful, with furnishings and art that reflect the area and made us comfortable right away. Before our trip, Clark reached out with recommendations for restaurants and activities and an offer to help with bookings. He checked in the day of arrival to make sure we knew where to park and what to expect on arrival. He made delicious breakfast and made sure we had all the coffee and information we needed to have a good visit. He is a true ambassador to the area and gave such good ideas for places to see or where to eat. This was our first visit to the area but hopefully not the last. If we are lucky enough to return we will definitely choose to stay at 2W Lake B&B again!
