Stayed here recently and overall had a lovely experience. The location is great—around a 10-minute walk to Wetherspoons and the train station, with a Lidl close by which is really handy. The hostess truly is “the hostess with the mostess.” From the moment you walk through the door, she makes you feel incredibly welcome and goes above and beyond to help with anything. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a separate bedroom and small sitting area. The bedroom had a comfortable double bed, wardrobe, TV, and plenty of storage. There was also an en-suite with a shower, sink, and toilet. The sitting area included a sofa bed (fine for a short stay), another TV, and tea/coffee facilities (though the kettle could do with descaling). Breakfast was a bit mixed for me. The full English was quite greasy and the bacon overly salted. My friend enjoyed hers, but I left most of mine as the sausages were a bit low quality for my taste—I prefer a meatier, more flavourful sausage. That said, the coffee was very good. Free parking at the back with a secure gate was a big bonus. The property also has a stair lift to the first floor, which is really helpful for anyone with mobility issues—just be aware it doesn’t go to the second floor, so it’s worth requesting a first-floor room if needed. Overall, despite a few minor points, it’s definitely worth the stay. Clean, comfortable, great host, and a very convenient location. We would definitely book this B&B again if we were coming to Skegness in the future.
