Arrived to find no parking spaces with rain lashing down. Sunday roast so very busy. Room was okay but in need of a refresh. Worst thing was a total lack of white bread at breakfast - unforgivable!

This hotel is a wee gem of a place. The location in the village is perfect and the hotel is charming and comfortable. The greatest asset is the wonderful staff who went out of their way to make our Stay so comfortable.

Had a lovely stay, room was small but had everything i needed, very comfortable & clean.
The staff were great, very helpful & friendly, food was good & it was good value for money. I'd definitely recommend.

Was halfway to Buxton when the original hotel I'd booked (not this one) cancelled my booking - but it turns out that was a blessing. The bridge was exactly what I needed, such a warm and welcoming a**osphere and the food in the restaurant was absolutely divine. Cannot recommend this place enough

Hard to find any fault at all: our welcome was very genuine, the room was excellent, the meals were excellent or good, and the staff were unfailingly cheerful and efficient. We had two small issues, both dealt with extremely quickly and without fuss. We don't hold the hotel or the staff responsible for the weather during our stay!
