Best Four Star Hotels in Solidaridad

I visited the El Dorado Maroma with my friend for a week in January 2023. Believe me, this is the best resort ever! I have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area, and this resort outranks all others! The service is simply amazing, from the second you arrive until you have to leave. We absolutely loved Manuel at the beach, who greeted us each morning and walked out with us to help us find the perfect spot for the day. He didn’t just hand us our towels - he laid them out for us on the loungers or the bali bed chosen, then adjusted the umbrella so we could be in the shade, as we preferred. He then continued checking on us throughout the day and adjusting our umbrella as the sun moved. Talk about being pampered! He was wonderful! We also loved Little D (Diego) at the beach, who brought us drinks and made us smile - he seems so happy to be there! I can’t forget to mention the beach - it is the best beach of any resort I have stayed at! Clean, white sand, and so few people. That’s another great thing about this resort - no crowds!! It is small, quiet and relaxing. So peaceful! If you want a party resort, this is not it. It was perfect for us! Overall, you will not be sorry if you choose this resort!!! We loved it and will return again, hopefully soon, and hopefully with my hubby next time! I can’t wait to hear those wonderful friends tell me “Welcome Home”!

Stayed 5 nights and loved the resort. Small boutique adult only resort, very low key, off the beaten path. Rooms are huge, 900+ sq ft large bath tub middle of the room, huge glass shower with hand sprayer and oversized rain shower. Once we figured out the hot water, the shower was life altering! Large closet with plenty of hanging space shelves and digital safe. King size bed and couch, all leading to the room width glass wall/doors looking at the balcony and ocean. We had a pool level room but you are a few feet above the pool deck. 2 loungers, a table and the plunge pool on the balcony. And power open/close heavy blinds over the windows/doors-push a button on the remote and the room gets DARK! There is no beach directly in front of the resort, but either end of the pool deck has stairs to access the beach. Either side of the resort is beach, to the south is the nicer beach, and there is a message stand and vendor for scuba, parasail etc right next to the resort on the beach. The pool is the full width of the resort, infinity edge, ample chairs and several beds, first come first serve on the beds. We spent lots of time just hanging on the pool wall, sipping drinks, watching the surf, boats and people playing in the sea. The staff around the pool are very attentive, bringing you drinks, food, towels, whatever you need. With only 38 rooms, 2 max per room, there never was a lot of people around! Don’t see why you want on the menu-just ask and they can most likely provide. If you are a foodie, or need a ton of options, might not be right for You. There is just 2 restaurants, but they have a nice selection of menu items, it changed most days, and again if you ask they will meet most requests. 5 days and nights we found plenty of options, and we felt portions were fine, and quality/taste was good. We certainly didn’t lose weight! Karen was our concierge and anything we needed she saw to right away. Not everything was perfect. We struggled to figure out the hot water, the fixtures were a little odd and unmarked, and operated opposite from our first room to our second. But once we puzzled it out we had plenty of very hot water. A remote needed a battery, the shade remote was temperamental, but a smack or 2 and it would work. The big issue was 3rd day…the A/C quit working. We were leaving for the day for our one big excursion of the trip, and they assured us it would be fixed. We got back, they thought it was fixed, but it wasn’t. Maintenance immediately came back, worked on it for a while, and declared it beyond repair. But they immediately moved us to another room, so can’t complain too much, things happen. If you want a quiet, relaxing stay with great personal service, an amazing room, and not a lot of people around, this is a great choice. We are already planning a return trip in a few months

My wife and I travelled the week of June 4 to 10 2023. We had the all inclusive package which included our food. Our room was close to the lobby which gave us access to the internet which was nice. We were on the ground floor in a bungalow style of house. The shower was a bit small but it worked well. The room had 2 beds and was big enough for what we needed. We spent most of our week at the pool which was AWESOME! The weather was great. High twenties to low to mid thirties all week. We had rain in the evening of Tuesday ( June 6) Wednesday (June 7) and Thursday (June 8). The rain was brief except for Thursday but all that did was cool the temperatures. and took away the sargassum. I swam at the beach every day after that. The food at the buffet was very good and we had plenty of choice. I ate smoked salmon every day at breakfast. The a la carte were first come first served so if you wanted reservations you just made your way to the restaurants early. The Japanese restaurant was a lot of fun as Daniel, the chef, put on a show for us. We had no issues getting reservations. All the a la carte were good. Overall, the staff was friendly, polite and very pleasant. The best part of the week was the people we met. We met people from many parts of the US, France, Germany, and England. It was a great week and I would recommend this place to anyone.

The Grand Palladium White Sand Resort & Spa - All Inclusive provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Solidaridad will find that the Grand Palladium White Sand Resort & Spa - All Inclusive is a fantastic accommodation choice.The hotel is located close to many of Solidaridad's attractions including YAL-KU CENOTE Y Laguna Yalku and Xpu-ha Beach.When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site.

Took my Wife for a weekend get- a- away for our 35th anniversary. We were not greeted by anyone at the resort, when we arrive and eventually went up to the check in desk. The staff that was checking us in asked us multiple times if we were there for any special occasion and we said that we were celebrating our 35 ****ing Anniversary. Also put this on our booking information. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a priority guest to use the complete hotel. After getting a quote for an additional $400 dollars for the weekend, we declined. We didn't realize that we could only use 1/2 the hotel. We felt like a second-class citizen and if we realized in advance, it was $65 per person to use the complete hotel when we booked. The beach was filled with complete sea**** and smelled atrociously. Beware of the website pictures and nothing was done by any staff member to celebrate our anniversary. There are so many other better choices and I never do reviews. I would not recommend this place if you want to be valued and appreciated!

Overall the resort is nice. The team is friendly and hard working. However, upon check in there was no orientation / information given. Had my family not been there for two days already (figuring it out), we would have been LOST. Unfortunately, everyone focuses on the members…but no one ever explained / persuaded us to be members. Members have access to more restaurants, at all times, beach area, etc. Non-members had one restaurant option for breakfast. It was good but wanted to change it up after a few mornings. The meals were good, especially for an all-inclusive resort. It was a lovely to be greeted with a different treat daily, but our plates were quickly covered with ants as soon as the cellophane was removed. My husband thought the ants were stemming from the dining room table, but it was hard to know for sure since they only surfaced when food was left out. The rooms were nice, but our mattress needs to be replaced. The pool area is lovely and we had fantastic service from Viktor. The Littles loved the water slides, and Jai at kids club was a hit.

The hotel and all the experience was terrible. The food in the buffet is pretty much the same everyday and the quality is really low. There are not enough sunshades for all the guests in the hotel. One day, we left our towels on the sunbed, when we came back 30 minutes later they were gone and the staff told us that they ran out of beach towels. We lost our sunbeds and towels and we had to leave the pool because there weren’t any seats left. The staff doesn’t care about the hotel guests. The golf cars that are supposed to give you rides in the resort refused to take us like 90% of the time. The hotel concierge feels like a huge scammer. We asked if we could get a ride to the main gates of the resort and they refused to take us with the golf cars and said that we could call a taxi for 5$ each way (all of this is to move inside of the resort area). Also, they try to scam you by paying 50$ to go to playa del carmen, wich is like 15 minutes away. It’s a complete joke. Even for the price I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
