Amazing property! Clean, super friendly staff and close to all the shops. Food and bakeries within a 2 min walk

We stayed in a double Queen room. It was cozy but worked for me and my kids. We arrived around 9:30pm so I was thankful for the contactless check in. Made it very easy! The room was charming and clean. Theres’s no closet or drawers but they did have a shelf with a section that you could hang things. Also had a mini ironing board. There are 2 minor changes I feel would help the experience. 1st would be that the lights next to the beds don’t have shades on them, just a bulb which made them super bright and a bit hard on our eyes. I think a small shade would have been nice. 2nd there’s one small table between the beds but no end tables on the other side. I happened to sleep on the side without a table and it just made it tricky as I’m accustomed to placing my glasses right next to me as well as a bottle of water/book/phone so I did kind of stumble around trying to get to my glasses in the morning. Space wise I get why there’s no end table, but perhaps a small shelf that attaches to the wall or something. Neither things were deal breakers though. A positive note, when we arrived the heater was on and our room was toasty and warm which was an absolute delight as we aren’t used to cold weather. Loved how close the inn was to shops and restaurants. There’s even a small museum right across the street. We would love to come back during the warmer months to enjoy the outdoor area. Overall a great experience! Thank you!

Staff and owners were very accommodating with our needs. Though we arrived past midnight, they were still available via text to answer any questions.

Woken at 2AM by a male kid somewhere but likely not on the premises that kept jabbering through the night. If the power goes out you will lose your money. They should warn before booking which makes them look suspect. Very modern appliances A BIG PLUS. Small room with little shelf space. Newer terrific coffee maker but in a dimly lit area.

Cute property!!! Saw this on Motel Rescue and had to see it for myself!! Loved it! As it is a motel not alot of amenities but it did have coffee pot microwave and mini fridge. Black out shades were nice and didn’t have to use my earplugs!! The town was so pretty decorated for the holidays. Parking for a little tricky on the weekend but it worked out. Great location, very walkable. Highly recommend

First stay in Solvang was amazing, hotel made it even better. Within walking distance to countless shops and restaurants. Room was clean, neat, and comfortable to stay in. Would choose Viking inn if came back to Solvang.

The ownership has changed and everything has been remodeled; A complete new look and everything is crisp and bright and clean. Great rate as well. It's difficult to review this property without overusing superlatives. I will just state I recommend this motel without reservation.

It was clean, I understand that they are still working on the makeover and some of the stuff is still old but it was ok. I think this is a fairly owned business and I appreciate that. Thank you!
