Hotel Antiche Mura

This hotel is located a few meters from Sorrento’s main street and square. Everything is within walking distance. Another plus is the hotel staff. They are all friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok for a 4* hotel with the advantage that you may eat outside. Pool is only 1.40 meters deep. But you can have a relaxing time there. We never had problems getting chairs. Our room was outside the main building near the pool (602). It was the right size for us three, very clean. We enjoyed the proximity to the pool. All in all, maybe one of the best options in Sorrento.

Old money style hotel, breakfast while looking at the sea, good food, suitable for vacation
Hilton Sorrento Palace

The hotel is at a great location, surrounded by scenic spots where you can reach on foot. The hotel itself is also good, meeting the brand price positioning. Its cleanness, breakfast, facilities, and service comply with the standards.
Grand Hotel President

Perfect hotel for us away from all the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. Positives. Great location high above Sorrento with fabulous views across the bay of Naples. Also away from the road so no traffic noise at all All the staff were first class, friendly and hard working. Selection of food at Breakfast buffet was very good even if the hot food was only luke warm at times. The evening 3 course meal was quality with a meat, fish and veggie choice for mains. All cooked to order. We like our food and eat decent portion sizes so asking for extra vegetables was not a problem. We are wine drinkers and found the Italian choices quite palatable. Bedrooms are spacious, very comfortable beds, loads of drawer space with either shower or bath/shower. Negative. In Autumn the sun soon disappears off the outside swimming pool late afternoon due to its location facing North East. Solution, use the top floor which has ample seats and sunbeds. The walk down to Sorrento down Scooter Lane (our nickname for it) is not as bad as some people make out. It takes 5 minutes to reach the start of this down the extensive drive. A further 15 minutes to reach the main road and then another 5 minutes into Sorrento. Add a few minutes extra coming back. A 25 minute walk for a 70 year old with arthritis in the knee. We would highly recommend this hotel. It may be too far out of the way for some although the shuttle bus every hour is very efficient in getting you into town.
Grand Hotel Flora

We stayed here for one night in April 2023. Given some of the previous reviews we were more than pleasantly surprised. Our stay started well, the lady on reception (whose name we can’t remember) was extremely welcoming and helpful. We were upgraded to a road facing superior room which had been newly refurbished. It was lovely with a great bathroom. We were worried about the traffic noise but with the balcony doors closed it was fine. We would not recommend spending a long time on the balcony given the main road location but there is a pool area with plenty of outside space. The bar was very good and well run. The bar prices were competitive. The hotel is a ten to fifteen minute walk to Piazza Tasso. Located near the hotel is the excellent Banana Split Bar and Master Hosts Restaurant (don’t be put off by the name, we found the food really good and the prices reasonable). There is also a pub next to the hotel, but we did not try that. The breakfast is as others have said not a four star breakfast hence our score of four not five.
Maison la Minervetta

I'm not even sure where to begin. We LOVED our stay at Maison La Minervetta. We booked the corner room, which as soon as we walked in, we were just in awe. The view was one of the best I've ever had a hotel. The staff were the friendliest people, so kind to us and answered all of our questions as best as they could. I was in Sorrento celebrating my 40th birthday with one of my close friends, but not only did they bring us champagne to our room, on the morning of my birthday, they brought me a little cake and sung happy birthday to me at breakfast. It was the sweetest thing any hotel has ever done for me. I hate even using the word hotel, because the staff treated us like family. Breakfast each morning was phenomenal, the fresh bread and mozzarella, I'd like to add i'm still thinking about both of these things a week later while at home. The breakfast spread was vast with options for everyone. In relation to location, the hotel was just outside of Sorrento but a very easy 10-15 min walk. No hills, or stairs. The hotel decor was the cutest, it was like a cross between Anthropologie meets Nautical. So cute, with the tiniest of details, nothing was overlooked in this hotel. The room was fantastic - the only suggestion I would make is maybe having some blankets in the room. We spent a bit of time just hanging out in the chairs in the room looking at our view, and we had the windows open, the only thing that would have made it perfect were some blankets :) We of course were there during the coldest March they've ever had. I will for sure be back at some point during the actual season to take advantage of the pool and beach access. I can't say enough about this hotel and how great it was!
