Bellevue Syrene

Sorrento|0.43km from city center
What can I say about this hotel other than it is magnificent. We stayed for our wedding and honeymoon with our two young daughters and I was a little concerned that it wouldn't be the right place for young children, however I was totally wrong. Every single member of staff went out of their way to speak to my children, entertain them and make us all welcome for the duration of our stay. I didn't get any names but the young man at breakfast who was particularly wonderful with them showing my daughter where she could find seashells as she's fascinated by them and letting them play with his water guns. They made pancakes for their breakfast every day and high-fived them all the time. The room has the most amazing view, was spotlessly cleaned all of the time even after 9 of us got ready for the wedding in there and it was left looking rather chaotic. The walk through the caves to the beach is stunning and the solarium is a lovely spot to swim and catch some sun. The restaurant food was sublime. My only slight issue was that we left early in the morning and had requested breakfast boxes twice before checking out but didn't get them, and the noise levels from weddings in the hotel late at night was problematic for us getting the girls to sleep or if we wanted an early night because we were up early the next day for a trip. I think that perhaps the area where events are held is very close to the guests rooms. My daughter cried when we left and has asked to be back at the ”holiday house” every night since. An absolute dream of a hotel and a huge thank you from us all.

The Good Friendly helpful staff and a warm welcome. Exceptionally clean Beautiful stunning views from the restaurant and the rooms across the bay of Naples Easy walk downhill (15 minutes) into the centre of town. (But beware - a taxi ride from the grand harbour is €25. And €20 from town) Private hotel access down to the small fishing harbour via hotel. The Ok Friendly service at breakfast. Good coffee. Nice fresh fruit. Nothing exceptional - would have been nice to have had some different beautiful Italian breads other than same little rolls and sliced (sweet) toasting bread every day. Also a change in the hot Buffett - mushrooms, quality sausages (not hot dogs) roasted Italian tomatoes. The bacon was often undercooked. Omelettes and fried eggs are available on request. We had dinner the first night and didn’t repeat the experience. We are well used to Michelin star dining and appreciate great Italian food. We didn’t find either here. There were lots of staff milling around who didn’t seem to know what they were doing ( they may have been new staff being trained). Lots of whispering going on and we felt uncomfortable. The food was presented well - small portions on big plates and we filled up with bread - we were hungry! Our room had a most amazing picture window and a comfy bed. It was fairly spacious and very clean. There was no comfort to be found in the room however and on the rainy days when we would have liked to retire to our room and read we would have had to lie in our bed. Not good. All the furniture in the hotel looks good but it is hard and angular. This is not a comfortable hotel. Even in the bar area the design is for aesthetics rather than comfort. One early (rainy) evening we attempted to order a bar meal but were told we could only have a snack as the chef was preparing dinner and was busy. The bartender said he could ask the chef if we wanted. We would have gone back to our room and ordered room service from a limited menu but there was nowhere to have eaten any food that might have been delivered. Therefore we went back into town. On the one and only sunny afternoon we decided to go to the beautiful swimming pool Tge water was too cold to swim in - nice at the height of summer but not the end of May. The beds were uncomfortable. Staff bought another couple who were sunbathing food and drink but never came to ask us if we’d like a drink. Very odd. So in summary - some really lovely points but overall we were disappointed. This is no way a 5 star hotel and we would not return or recommend.

Palazzo Tasso

Palazzo Tasso

Sorrento|0.17km from city center
This “hotel” is a few rooms on the top two floors of a small apartment building. There is no breakfast available despite what is listed on TA. Guests are not allowed to use the elevator after 10 PM until eight the following morning (despite a posted sign that says they turn off the elevator at 11). I have stayed in many places that do not have a 24 hour reception, but none of them turn off the elevator! guests who have any difficulty with stairs would be well advised to stay away. My room was a remodeled attic, with no windows, and the ceiling so low that I kept bumping my head. They claim they make breakfast available because it is possible to eat at a café a few minutes walk away. Pointing out that another business offers a service at another location is not making something available: it’s a simple deception. The hotel is located in the quiet pedestrian zone of Sorrento about 20 minutes walk from the train station. except for the sound of pigeons, my room was quiet and had a modern looking bathroom, a flatscreen TV, a mini fridge, and a coffee machine. it’s really quite easy to find; there is a sign on the building on the main corso street. all you have to do is duck through an archway under the cathedral tower a few yards further on and double back on the back street to find the hotel entrance opposite a restaurant. It is convenient for the many restaurants and tourist shops of the old city only two or three blocks away. That said, it did not meet my needs and I will not be staying here again.

Hotel Il Faro

Sorrento|0.25km from city center
The location of the hotel is good, just opposite the port. Convenient to meet the guides for the tour to Capri, amalfi coast etc. Breakfast was average, was expecting a better range in the buffet breakfast. The lobby staff were fantastic, very helpful, accommodating and offering their advice where ever possible. We were allocated a room, which was big and comfortable but it was close to the roof top bar, which made it a bit too noisy for us as we were leaving early in the morning to catch our tours. We requested for the room to be changed, which they did even though they were full, still managed to change the room for us. Now we had a room that was much quieter but it turned out to be smaller than our previous room which had a small varanda, we used thst for our luggage. I guess we shouldn't complain as the staff accommodated us and still changed the room for which we grateful. The walk from the hotel to tasso square is steep and have many steps to go up only good for the fit young people. We attempted it on one occasion, needless to say we stopped a few times on the way to the top. We came back the same route with a slight diversion where we didn't have to climb down as many steps as we had to climb up. Half way down to the hotel, we stopped at a flat level and the view from there of the port was amazing. The port and the vessels all lit up. It compensated the climb down. For the less fit people, there was an alternative, walk down a small alley for about 6 minutes and there was a lift up to the square, it cost euro 2 for a return journey. Considering the steep steps up, well worth the 2 euros for the lift. Over all an enjoyable stay. If not for anything else the staff. Thank you all.

Caruso Suite
4.3/512 Reviews
Excellent experience, the structure is located in the heart of Sorrento, at the center of the main course, the very bright, well furnished and comfortable room, breakfast served in the room, abundant, and with a wide choice (in addition to what we had ordered the day before), finally but not finally the welcome, gentle and always available Imma that helped us to get up our bags, as we had two small children (fortunately she was there ...) Because of a temporary failure of the lift, always careful and efficient. Thank you

The Night Guest House

This b&b is at the centre in all senses: It is certainly a little central as everyone in reality, but it offers the minimum you need, but perhaps as much as it costs you should offer more. It is near the hospital so if you have the room on the way the decibels are high while from inside you have little to see but at least there is silence and it's our choice and we were very good. There is no breakfast and it is a pity because with that price in other facilities it is planned. In this free water and coffee structure (in other facilities there is a positive note) it was a pity that the water heat for the/camomila did not work. The coffee machine was going to the great. Clean structure. The clean and ordered room. The bathroom also was the dressing of the accessories. Unfortunately, at the reception there was never anyone on the morning we were without toilet paper (I had to go out to buy the dressing). They gently allowed us to leave the baggage and pick it up later (it was not easy since there was no one and we had to wait for the cleaner woman to lose the train). I must say, however, that the owner was kind and willing to give information and suggestions, and if you are at the right price you can advise.
Hotel Antiche Mura
4.6/5107 Reviews
This hotel is located a few meters from Sorrento’s main street and square. Everything is within walking distance. Another plus is the hotel staff. They are all friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok for a 4* hotel with the advantage that you may eat outside. Pool is only 1.40 meters deep. But you can have a relaxing time there. We never had problems getting chairs. Our room was outside the main building near the pool (602). It was the right size for us three, very clean. We enjoyed the proximity to the pool. All in all, maybe one of the best options in Sorrento.
Sorrento Relais
4.3/537 Reviews
We stayed at the Sorrento Relais for 5 nights in May. It is a family operated Bed and Breakfast. The location was good. For example, it was close enough to walk to the train station. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We appreciated the variety of choices available for breakfast and the pleasant service we received. Pasquale was helpful with suggestions for activities and I wish we had contacted him before we came. We were looking for a place at a reasonable price and Sorrento Relais worked well.
Hotel Villa di Sorrento
4.4/551 Reviews
We began this trip with a slight disagreement but ended the trip completely satisfied and extremely happy with the service. The hotel is clean, has a great location, and service was super friendly. In regards to the disagreement on the front end, without us asking for or expecting anything the hotel graciously took care of the issue.
