Nice customer service The rooms were nice and clean Plenty of space The showers have good hot water and there was barely any noise just the nearby cows which it was actually nice way to start the day

Well this hotel has gone downhill over the years… Last came October 22 and the stay was fantastic, clean rooms, lovely staff. On this occasion not so much… the 2 staff at check in was rude and did not acknowledge me for 20 minutes. When i did get checked in the room was disgusting. Coffee rings all over the desk, toothpaste in the sink, and on the side. Soaps were also open, so unable to use. My bed was also covered in hair. Even for £46 a night this is unacceptable. I went to desk to explain my concerns and i was told “you get what you pay for” this woman clearly has 0 customer service experience. I then asked if management was available and then i was told not to bother because nothing will be done. I left for work in the morning and with intention to speak to management but she remained on her phone while i was talking to her - which was very rude. ( this was one of the woman who was there when i eventually checked in ) I don’t usually leave these reviews but i felt like in this occasion, it’s necessary.

clean, quiet and comfortable bed, warm and plenty of towels available with easy access to the main road. Nearby food facilities Greggs and Burger king and shell fuel station to top up car for journey. pleasant staff

Nice overnight stay whilst walking and taking in a few tors on Dartmoor. Lovely and clean and staff were very friendly. Plenty of parking with very low noise from road. Clean and just what you needed after fantastic trek! Well worth it!

The appearance is, to be honest, rather unprepossessing. However that is the only three star thing about this place! The rooms are excellent, clean, and very pleasant to stay in, and very well priced too. We only stayed one night and went into Okehampton for our evening meal. A list is kept by staff of good eating spots and is heartily recommended. Anyone who has served in the British military will find the rooms familiar, and none the worse for that, basic, comfortable and everything you need. A special thank you to staff member Nikki who booked us in and dealt with our questions and later found wine glasses for us. Her service was exemplary and my thanks to her! If you are familiar with Travelodge and like me like a bargain, this hotel is highly recommended and thanks to staff here for making our one-night stay enjoyable.

My husband and i stay here about once a year to see family and it’s always a pleasure to see Nikki at reception. such a kind, welcoming young lady. an asset to travelodge. Rooms are spacious and clean but the carpark needs some TLC, pothole galore!

My wife booked the hotel to use as our base when planning a walk over Yes Tor. For anyone planning to ‘do the Tors’ this is a perfect location just off the A30 and a very short drive from Meldon reservoir - the gateway to a striking set of Tors. Staff are very friendly and the rooms modern, comfort and warm. There is a Burger King and Greggs sharing the same car park, so you won’t starve!

It was shabby, strong smell of mould. Toilet leaked every time you flushed. Pipes continually vibrated whenever anyone in the block put their tap on.. certainly doesn't live up to the accommodation that they advertise. Groups of males drinking and smoking at hotel entrance made it feel intimidating.

We have book on average 70-100 Travelodge rooms a year through business and personal and okehampton was our worst experience to date. We were greeted by the manager and she was inefficient and rude, fortunately her shift ended soon after we arrived and the other two staff were very good and friendly. It didn’t help the milk was also out of date is some of the rooms and our group consist of athletes who’s performance may well have been affected. Additionally we have a parcel arrive with 4 pairs of running shoes which was a special delivery from our sponsors, the manger without apology told us she had opened our parcel to see what was inside which is unacceptable.
