This dreamy hidden gem along the Garden Route is well worth the visit. Lovely rooms, comfy bed and great staff. The views and setting are magical and it is chilled and beautiful. We treated ourselves to a fab massage and chilled by beautiful pool. There are also lots of excursions easily accessible from here. The staff made us feel so welcome and taken care of.

This idyllic lodge is hidden away down a lane off the main road and the moment you drive into the parking area you could be in a different world. You are greeted with such genuine warmth by the staff you are made to feel very special. The communal rooms and large terrace are inviting and welcoming and the individual lodges are charming, comfortable and well appointed. This got our vote for the best breakfast of any of the lovely places we stayed in South Africa - which is no mean feat. We also ate here two evenings and the food was delicious. The lovely ladies on reception were helpful in their advice and recommendations as where best to go during our days there. We will always have very fond memories of our stay at Hog Hollow Lodge. Here’s to the Hoggies!

What a find! We have stayed in some of the best hotels across the world and I don’t think I have ever experienced service like this. From washing your car to offering to tumble dry your damp clothes, nothing is too much trouble. It’s discreet, polite and utterly charming. The setting is captivating with fabulous views across the valley. Rooms are spacious, frequently serviced and have lovely balconies. The pool area is also lovely with plenty of sun beds and space to stretch out. The food is good and there is plenty of it; breakfast is an absolute treat. The location is ideal for those looking to explore the Garden Route with Plettenberg an easy 10 minute drive away. If you are looking for accommodation within the Plettenberg area then I would look no further than Hog Hollow. The Garden Route has plenty of good value accommodation but this has to be one of the best - for service alone I would give this place 5*.

What a delightful place. Getting out of the car you wonder where the hotel is and once you walk through the “forest” archway and down a slope you are met with a delightful reception, dining room and outdoor seating Further down there are bungalows, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need including some lovely touches such as bedtime story books The staff are wonderful, food great and nothing is too much trouble Make this your centre for exploring the area and you won’t be disappointed

Simply Heavenly. The location took our breath away; Wilderness as far as the eye can see and nestled amongst the most awe-inspiring fauna and flora. This gem is something to behold. The attentive staff were first class and at your beck and call for every wish your heart desires. Thank you Hog Hollow for an amazing holiday.

Hard to know what to mention first ! The staff are absolutely amazing, trying to help as much as they can , also advising and booking activities as well as making g sure you have everything you need at the Lodge . The lodges are scrupulously clean -as are all the public places. The breakfast is so delicious, beautifully prepared and presented , impossible to eat it all . Lastly but definitely not least the stunning views from the main veranda cannot be adequately described. Highly recommend this hotel

We stayed here for a few nights and were here for New Years Eve. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed getting to know other guests as we were sat with others for our evening meal. The menu choices were good and there was an extensive wine list to choose from. We were definitely full after our 3 course meals. The facilities are the lodge are good and despite the weather being cloudy and wet we did make use of the pool and sauna. It was lovely having a bedtime story and a sweet treat left on our pillows. Thank you to the staff at Hog Holllow for helping us to make memorable memories.

We stayed at Hogs Hollow for two nights whilst driving the garden route and we loved our stay.
Our room - no 17 (or rather suite) was stunning. Breathtaking views from our private veranda and a spacious room with living area and large bed, and not to mention a wood burner that was freshly laid each day kept those chilly nights away.
But most of all the exceptional service was what made our stay. All the staff were very friendly and went above and beyond! Nothing was too much trouble, and when asking what we were up to for the day or for dinner flagged things like tide times to be aware of or whether somewhere was closed. We were also delighted by the daily car clean.
The weather wasn’t kind enough for us to use the pool but the pool deck was great and we used the sauna.
Breakfast was also delicious. A large continental selection with homemade goods accompanied by a hot dish of our choosing.

Everything was absolutely perfect and the service was outstanding. Best place we have stayed in in S.A. We loved everything about it. The staff were remarkable without being too intrusive. Really enjoyed the food and wine. And the breakfast well presented. If I had any criticism, it would be the inevitable food waste at breakfast...as each person/table has a complete spread from every option of the continental breakfast and so what you don't want (and there is a lot!) is binned which is wasteful and upsetting as unnecessary.
