Enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch here last weekend. Good vegetarian roast option. Great service and very friendly. We will definitely go again.

Haven’t been here for a long time because it has been closed for quite some time but I’ve just watched the car park get fuller and fuller so I took my wife along for Sunday lunch. Absolutely fantastic the staff was superb. The food was incredible. They just could not do enough for you very very highly rated.

Over the last few months, this has become our 'go to' pub in the area. It's great for an early evening sundowner in the garden, with chilled (ad subtle) soul music being played in the comfy outdoor bar under the stretch tent - and we had been planning for a while to try the food. We weren't disappointed! Delicious arancini, as well as chorizo scotch egg starters - then fabulous buttermilk chicken burgers and a very tasty 'take' on sausage and mash. Best dish? The curried parsnip soup - one of the best we have ever tasted. Can't wait to drop in again at this gem of a South Oxfordshire village pub!

We recently stayed here for two nights and had a fantastic experience from start to finish We recently stayed here for two nights and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, making it the perfect place to relax after a day out. The food was excellent . We ate in the restaurant on both evenings, and every meal was cooked to perfection with generous portions. The breakfast was just as impressive and set us up perfectly for the day. What really made our stay special was the friendly and welcoming staff. Toby’s team are a credit to him. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel at home throughout our visit. If you’re looking for a pub with comfortable accommodation, delicious food, and excellent service, I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. We’ll definitely be returning the next time we’re in the area. Five stars! .

Found this so called little gem very overpriced, and if your fave don’t fit your made aware of it. Strange bunch of locals and the beer was served in dirty glasses. Won’t be going back.

Advertises food all day 9 until 9 but seemingly not today when we visit as it’s fully booked. That’s about 10 cars and 8 cyclists. Ordered coffee instead and after 20 mins wait it didn’t come. Saw them turn away other people wanting food. If you are the manager you need to look at what’s happening here, the location is great but let down by the approach and also by the attitude of the many members do staff stood about.

We’ve been really impressed by this place since starting to come here about a year ago. Really cosy in the winter, and lovely, large garden for warmer months. The recent addition to the outdoor area with some leather sofas(!) and a cocktail ‘horse box’ bar is an absolute winner. All this, plus the super friendly staff, keeps it on our list for regular visits. Mostly come for drinks but the lunches and dinners we’ve had have been very good. The thing that has most impressed us is the bar staff making the cocktails… some places you order a cocktail and you get a bit of an eye roll or made to feel like it’s an inconvenience (even if not busy.. we tend to avoid complicated drinks if somewhere is busy as it feels unfair to the staff!). But not this place… one of the team in particular takes a LOT of pride in making a really brilliant ‘Cherry Tree Old Fashioned’. So impressed. Huge credit to the team and he could teach a lot of people how to do it right.

We visited on a lovely sunny evening. Recently reborn under new ownership, it was lovely to see this historic pub overflowing with diners and drinkers inside and out. The menu is a mixture of favourites (burgers, steaks, fish and chips) and more inventive dishes (cassoulet, vegetarian gnocchi). All were a good size, well seasoned and piping hot. Prices were around £20-25, which considering the location is fair value. The service was very attentive, more typical of a high end place. We didn’t have dessert, but they looked great. There are decent options for vegetarians. I would have thought booking is essential at weekends and for Sunday lunch.

After having a lovely walk stopped at The Cherry Tree for a full English breakfast and a cuppa, excellent service and thrilled that they made a massive effort to still provide a full English breakfast gluten-free for me. Gorgeous food cooked to perfection. They even had the posh tea my friend wanted! 😀
