Great handy location in South Yarra. Loads of Café and restaurants around. A supermarket is nearby too. Lovely walk to CBD along the Yarra River and Botanic Garden. Walking distance to Prahran Market. Beautiful Art Deco buildings were kept and blended in well with surroundings.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room even has a kitchenette, which is a lovely bonus. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The Art Series hotels by Accor, while a novel idea years ago, are getting tired and a bit worn down at heel. The Olsen might have started as the belle of Chapel Street but she is definitely showing her age and no longer comes off as the cool influencer. Part of the problem is Accor can't decide what this series wants to be -- luxury hotels with $21 granola or boutique on a budget. The towels are thin, the lighting dim, the amenities screwed to the wall. We were placed in an "accessible" room, which is a tiresome trick by front desk personnel to those bothering to find a good deal on overpriced lodgings. Mediocre shower, deafening fan, wet floor and soulless vibe. Bare minimum for coffee in room. Looked out our window at the poor souls working in the office across the way as it was better than staring at the curious drapes. Lift your game, Accor.

Upon first checking in, I found the hotel to be quite ordinary. However, after staying for a few days, I realized how convenient and comfortable it truly was. The hotel breakfast was also delicious! A special shout-out goes to a Chinese waitress in the restaurant who was incredibly polite and provided exceptional service – absolutely 10/10! Unfortunately, she was off on my check-out day, so I didn't get a chance to say goodbye.

The room we booked is good to fit in 4 adults. The room is spacious, comes with little kitchen (electric stove and microwave oven) with utensils and cleaning stuff. The location of the hotel is ideal, 10mins walk to nearby train station, tram station, 5mins walk to a mall withe grocer like Woolworth, Big W and eateries place.

I had to be in Melbourne for a business trip for over a week and picked the Olsen. Very convenient to get to different parts of Melbourne, close to the mall with grocery store, restaurants and shopping. Love that you can open the windows for fresh air unlike other hotels.
