Travelodge Southampton Central

Clean and comfortable. Especially, receptionists are kind and helpful. My cruise luggage tags can be printed efficiently! Love and highly recommended this hotel.

Great location in the centre of Southampton. Comfy beds and good breakfast.

Parking area was tiny.

This is a basic hotel - parked up easily - entertainment was nearby, slept well - clean and tidy - good value. I had three weeks with overnights working in Lymington - price wise this was very competitive. Can't believe there is a minimum requirement of 200 characters - not sure what I can add...... Clean and tidy room.

Room layout and hotel location were ideal for us as a family. I found the bed too hard so didn’t sleep well but that is down to personal preference. Service at restaurant for evening meal was very poor. Received the wrong meals for our children, the “while you wait” item was brought out stone cold at the same time as main meals, items like drinks and cutlery forgotten with staff requiring lots of prompts. Partners meal brought out at least 15 minutes before mine leaving us to essentially eat separately. Food itself adequate but not great. Shame as if it were not for this we would have definitely returned!

So I booked this Travelodge over a month ago as we are leaving from Southampton in May. All looked well at the web page. We booked the flexible fare which states that this fare can be amended or cancelled at any time until noon on the day of arrival. Now our dates changed for our stay in SH and I figured that I would go to my reservation online and adjust the dates. Didn't want to cancel. But there was no place I could find that would allow me to amend the dates. So, I thought it best to cancel the booking and rebook. So did that and a revised billing summary shows that we will in fact get a credit for the several hundred dollars charged to our Visa card. However, it advised that we would not get our prepayment for WiFi access back! It's only $8 or so but come on. There was no cost to TL to reserve internet time for my stay!

We stayed here on Sunday and it was a very good price. Excellent central location for our needs. Room was very clean with comfy bed. Also had unlimited breakfast which had good selection. Would definitely go there again.

My stay at Travellodge was a pleasure due to the friendly and helpful staff. Jovi did my check-in in no time and answered all my questions immediately. Very helpful and professional service. I recommend this hotel for short business stays.
