These apartments are not very clean Flat 5. Stayed there in June to say we were disappointed is an understatement. If you are looking to stay here just beware that Flat 5 it is filthy beyond belief. But also be prepared to put your visit and your itinerary on hold whilst you complain about what you have been given as regards the "dirty apartment. We had a tight schedule to stick to bit were supposed to put our stay on hold so we could wait in the apartment for the cleaner to come and rectify our problems...let me just tell you it would of taken more than two days the length of our stay to sort out the issues we had. The kitchen was dirty the bedrooms were dirty the bathrooms were dirty, the whole apartment was below standard for what we paid for a 2 night stay. I have probably 100 photographs that we took unfortunately this review site will not allow me to upload all of them which is a shame because I would really like to prepare people for what they are headed to. I'm just so grateful that we had taken our own bedding and towels otherwise I would not of stayed there full stop. The company that deals with the apartments were not in the least bit interested in what we had to say, their answer was that we should of complained straight away well no sorry we had a tight schedule with times when we had to be at different places. In no way should we be expected to put our visit on hold that is why we took photographs as evidence but they just did not want to even talk to us they sent us a preprinted response. We also had very little help from ***********. We are a family who are not "posh" but do have certain standards and I feel extremely anxious that nobody else has to endure what we did...we just felt dirty all our stay even though I had taken all of my own cleaning materials, bedding and towels etc, once I had cleaned everything the damage had been done and the seeds had been sown. It made my stay in particular extremely difficult. I struggle with anxiety and OCD and believe me from the pictures that were displayed on the website I had no qualms about booking, and if it had not of been for the fact that there was a concert on in Southampton and the beginning really of the holiday season, we would of moved to another accommodation. Unfortunately whilst travelling to and from appointments and set times to be be at various events I did enquire to maybe 45-50 accommodations but all were fully booked otherwise we would of cut the stay straight away and vacated the apartment. The kitchen was beyond belief there was dried food and grease on the bottom of the oven, the taps in the kitchen was full of thick grime, the microwave had dust in it and dried on food grease splattered all over the microwave roof. They had "gaffer tale holding the ***** onto the worktop, the silicon around the back of the sink was full of filth, the handles on the cupboards were full of grease and only where you would hold would you be able to touch to open the cupboard. I stayed here with my husband and parents in December. It was just as a base for the weekend as we were going to a show on the Thursday night and had decided to make a long weekend of it. We wanted something that was self catering, rather than a B&B or a hotel, so we could relax before going out, but after reading the negative reviews I was a bit worried about staying here. Okay, the apartment isn't 'Luxury' as advertised, but it isn't priced for luxury. We had no issues with it for the price we paid (£350ish for 3 nights for 4 people) it would have been far more for a hotel or B&B for the 4 of us. Communication with the rental company was good, there were clear instruction for collecting the key from the keybox by the front door and entry to the building was safe and secure. Parking was off road and good, there was plenty of space in the rear car park which was bigger, but we managed to get a space in the front car park and left the car there for the duration, we just had to let the company know we were going to need a space before we arrived. When we arrived, we found the main foyer spotless and welcoming, the lift didn't smell, as mentioned in another review. We had apartment 7 at the back on the top floor, it was very quiet and we had no problems with any noise at night. The apartment itself didn't smell and was very clean. Okay, the furniture had seen better days and was tired, but that was just cosmetic. The oven was so spotless, it looked like new. The bathrooms were very clean and Mum is a stickler for clean bathrooms and she was very happy with the cleanliness of them. The lounger was a nice size and accommodated all 4 of us very comfortably. The TV signal did drop out on occasion, but it didn't really bother us that much as we weren't there for watching telly! The apartment had everything you needed for self catering, it took us a while to work out the washing up liquid was in the pump bottle/caddy combination by the sink, but it was there along with a cloth and a clean tea towel, there was only 1 dishwasher tablet, but we didn't use the dishwasher anyway as we only did breakfast in the apartment, so was easier to just wash up. It would have been nice to have a welcome pack of tea/coffee etc, but the price we paid reflects the lack of that really, so it wasn't expected. The location is very good and conveniently on the bus route, the stop was just a 5 min walk down the road towards Southampton and dropped you off almost right opposite the apartment building on the return journey. All in all, we all had a nice stay, and would be very happy to come back if we needed to stay in Southampton again.

Great accomodation for the price, lots pf extras provided and comfortable beds. Quiet and safe area for a great nights sleep and communication was great from the hosts. Doors were a little awkward to open and lock but other than that it was a great stay.

This apartment was one of the worst I have stayed in, I am not someone to stay in flash accommodation but this place was just yuck! Before booking, I had read some mixed reviews but thought some people will complain about anything, but this time I should have listened. The parking was fine (bit busy and crowded) and the communication with the host was fine. The building was run down and stunk of urine (especially the lift) the room STUNK of moth balls and maybe some sort of animal urine? It was dirty (not sure what the cleaners clean) and it was the sort of place you don't take your shoes off. We tried to eat out as much as possible as the oven, dishes, fridge had this cringe worthy feel about it. The neighbours were noisy and the room had stains on the ceiling (not to mention the floor!) I did a load of washing and used the clothes horse to dry it and once arriving at our next hotel my "clean" washing had the stink of the room (vomit worthy, I had to re-wash). Glad to leave, would not recommend.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU... Uber failed to pick us up so we missed our bus to Stanstead Airport. We had turned our key in and it was cold and rainy. We called the manager. He told us how to get back into the building, got us a ride the 120 miles to the airport and couldn't have been kinder. Not many people will go the extra mile as this man did.

This is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the University of Southampton. There are lovely walks in the area and lots of great places to eat. The apartments are safe, clean and well stocked. The people who manage the property are very professional and friendly.

I thought it was decent, good for the money. We had room 6 I think, 2nd floor at the front. Parking was fine, but road noise was slightly loud. Loads of space, 2 bathrooms which was fab. Good storage space and good amount of towels. Mattress/pillows were standard wouldn't rate highly. Dishwasher was a nice addition but some instructions would help. Unfortunately though we had multiple concerns which need sorting - bed didn't fill the frame properly leaving a big gap at the end -Child lock on window wasn't attached to anything so any of the kids could have fallen straight out - main shower fixing wasn't attached to the wall and fell out multiple times it had been badly botched - only one bin bag and one toilet roll in each bathroom Overall it was a good stay :) -
