Our stay was excellent. The views from the Jakkals restaurant was spectacular. Seeing the different wild life was so exciting. Must stay for travellers looking for something different.

Had the most pleasant experience at Bona Bona, the staff was excellent and super friendly. From Obakeng and Bathandwa at the reception who provided excellent service with a smile. To Papi our waiter at the Jackal restaurant who served us diligently. To our excellent and very informed rangers Jean-Marie and Luke who gave us the best game drives. And finally the amazing ladies at Veldhaven spa(Anthia at Reception and the therapists ,Shanelle and Wesley-Anne) thank you all for an amazing time, what a beautiful place. Beautiful Rooms! We had a great time. Excellent staff. Great food at the restaurant. Loved the spa. We enjoyed all the activities. Overall great experience!

The most wonderful stay at an affordable rate. We were most impressed and will certainly be back. We have already recommended Bona Bona to several of our friends. The game ranger Jean-Marie was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. All in all a great experience and a fantastic start to the New Year.

What a lovely experience. We arrived the 31st of December 2025, the staff was so friendly. The food was delicious. The vibe at Bona Bona is very relaxed. We had a waiter Titimalo, what a stunning woman. She told us the history of Bona Bona and even showed us around. Very friendly and kind of her. On the 1st of January 2026 we had a picnic with the Hippos. What an experience. Everything was done so professionally, the ride to the water hole, the food for the picnic. We spend about 2 hours in what I call a bunker under the bridge, which felt only like an hour. We were so close to the Hippos it was just amazing. Thank you Bona Bona we will visit you again soon..

The accommodation was nothing but amazing. Everything was up to standard although I didn’t love the service I got from the restaurant especially the accommodation doesn’t allow food and drinks from outside the restaurant service was very bad. Other than that bona bona is exceptional

We chose Bona Bona because it is said to be the home of big 5. We didn't see any on our game drive so I'm sad. The room and the food was perfect 👌 though I had to request my wine from reception after I booked a package wich included it. Massage was great too!

We had an awesome stay. A few creepy-crawlies, nothing to worry about -it's a lodge afterall. Highly recommend.

Bona bona met my expectations. My family had a wonderful time there. Will surely make a turn there soon.

Very pleasant stay. Staff members were very friendly and welcoming. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Looking out on the dam, seeing the hippos was the cherry on top. Only disappointment was the next morning when we wanted to have some coffee after waking up, there was only tea in the room. Other than that, our stay was perfect.

Beautiful place with excellent service. The rooms are neat and clean. Friendly staff. Air-conditioning in the room may need to be checked. Overall a great experience.

1. The game drive on Friday afternoon was excellent!! we enjoy our game ranger, she had interesting facts, which she shared with humor ... she is a very good driver and had very good people skills. 2. On arrival we asked if we have to book for dinner on Friday evening, but we were told, that it wasn't necessary. When we go to the restaurant it was full, they made us sit outside, it was raining, no one come to us. After half an hour, we went in... still no table. So we had to sit in the lounge and eat there. I feel that the restaurant personnel know it was raining, they know how many people were on the venue, why didn't they put some of the outside tables inside the restaurant?????? 3. The room, bed and bathroom were very neat and comfortable. 4. We had an excellent experience at the spa. Anthia is a very good hostess. Thank you.

It was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The rooms were neat and the environment was pleasant. Overall, it was a good stay and I would recommend it.

Room allocation was amazing with the view. i felt special and at peace. I'm definitely coming back again
