Just returned from this beautiful hotel and all I can say is WOW! Booked a double room for last Tuesday for my partner and I. On arrival Rosie on reception was charming and professional and escorted us to the lift via Palm Court and our Jaws dropped as we say the whole area decorated for Christmas. We did get lost trying to find the room but it was well worth when we eventually found it.The bedroom was beautiful, lovely furnishing, contained everything modern day traveller requires, the bed was so comfortable with lovely sheets and pilllows also so spotless The bathroom although only had a shower but lovely and modern..We did have breakfast the following morning and again all was to the highest standard everything you would want for breakfast, all super quality ingredients. I would like to say a big thank you to Rayna and Maria, both young ladies are a credit to the hotel....so much so as soon as we got home I booked again as a surprise for my partner to come back next month.Thank you to everyone who work so hard to make your hotel special. Kind regards Joe and Andy

Such a shame the staff attitude lets this property down. Drove to the front door and the elderly doorman quickly disappeared when he noticed my car. I took out my own luggage, parked and bundled myself through the main door! He appeared after I entered the lobby!! Went to reception and waited (it was quiet) - it seems the standard welcome is “are you okay?” - not warm or welcoming at all. Smooth checkin, went to the room & found another persons bag there. Came back down - no apology!! - just the offer to change to another room. Room itself was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated - well maintained. Lobby bar service was efficient but not special. After my late evening I arrived back at 1:30am - staff sitting on the back counter at the front desk. Made no effort to stand up. Ordered late night food at the desk, no menu available, told only pizza or soup, chose pizza. Hot and tasty. Checkout - not busy but again “are you okay?” was the question when I’m standing there with suitcases. No smile, no thank you for staying or welcome back. Maybe this is what CP wants..I don’t know, but I expected a little better. Shame because it’s a lovely hotel, with great potential if the staff step up their game!

Stayed for 1 night with a friend. Everyone we spoke to were lovely and the room was nice enough (very modern bathroom but quite dated/tired bedroom). Great location. From 9:30am there was a constant loud noise coming from the elevators or drains. Meant we couldn’t sleep past then. After research we chose this hotel for the spa, thinking we could have a relaxing 2nd day before heading home. We were told we’d have to book a slot into the spa as they were so busy and the earliest slot was 12:00, with checkout being at 11:00. Given the hotel breakfast buffet we booked in for 10:30. Breakfast was rubbish. We paid £20 each for dry bread, hash browns, a few leftover bacon rashers and crusty baked beans. There seemed to be an egg station but no one there between 10:30-11:00. I appreciate we came at the end of breakfast, but we still paid the same £20 so expected a lot more. Only as we were walking into the spa were we told it was an additional £25. Changing rooms were TINY, space probably for 3-5women but there was over 10 of us when we went in/out. Very awkward and not relaxing. Given we were made to book, this overcrowding should have been considered. None of the locks on the lockers worked. 1/3 toilets was blocked. Facilities were decent enough and fairly clean, wouldn’t have minded if it was included in our £90 room. I’m due back in Liverpool soon but will be trying somewhere else.

Traditional English breakfast has grilled sausages, potato cakes, etc. The location is a bit off the beach but it doesn't matter if you hit Uber. The parking lot is at the door. The outside of the hotel looks average. After entering, the lobby is very design. There is a bar on the first floor, and there is a small river next to the bar.

GGuest Userwe came back from an event approx midnight. asked for 2 glasses of red wine at the bar. staff member offered us a number of bottles . we picked one, she opened it. then the duty manager turned up and said that this wine wasn’t available by the glass only by the bottle. ( which was £55) we explained that we were offered this option by the bar staff but he still said no. bar staff then had to put the cork back in the bottle. we asked how they could do that when it could only bought by the bottle and no customer would buy a bottle of wine that had already been opened. no change. out of courtesy to the bar staff we agreed to pick another red wine. turns out they only had one glass left of that one and no spares . therefore we ended up with our 3rd choice option. this all took 45mns from order to serve. some of the worst hotel service we have ever had.
GGiani DeClean hotel and accessible to centre. If you’re going to book for Rooftop make sure it’s suite room as the double room wasn’t that nice view in the balcony. Friendly staff in the breakfast area and to the receptionist who assist us 10th July 2024 (Wednesday) at 15:00 he’s approachable and accommodating I forgot his name he has tattoo. But a bit disappointed. Only continental breakfast you can have it if you’re in a hurry. But for hot breakfast you need to order in the menu and that’s the time they prepare it and serve for you I suggest it’s better everything is ready and hotel guest will just get it by themselves. Second one the receptionist who’s on shift at 11th July 2024 at 12:30 in the afternoon wasn’t that nice. it’s 2 ladies receptionist I pass the key on her and she just said thank you. The other lady just look at us without saying Hello. Front-desk receptionist should be accommodating. not even bother to ask us how’s our stay which should be standard to all Hotel service staff. Receptionist are the front one who promote your Business it’s just my opinion Halyard so I think it’s better to inform them.

GGuest UserOn arrival, the place is clean, well-staffed and welcoming. The standard of cleanliness in the rooms and hotel in general is very good. Rooms are large, comfortable and it's well-positioned in the centre of Liverpool so all is good....until.... Did I mention it's well-positioned in the centre of Liverpool? Well you're not the only one who knows that so it's a magnet for stag-parties, hen-dos and general rowdy people. The corridors are alive ALL through the night with boisterous young people determined to keep their parties going no matter the time or location. That's not just other rooms on your floor by the way. You'll get this from rooms above and below you as well. I went out on the corridor to ask politely if the noise could be lowered only to find the rooms on either side and across the hall were all closed and silent and there was no-one to be seen meaning the racket(s) going on - several simultaneously - were from further afield it was that loud. About 4-30 am, the noise went down significantly only to crank to crank up again at 6.30 by two girls yelling so they could be heard from all that distance away whether the people they were addressing their question to were going out or coming home. Two lads boasted VERY LOUDLY that this was in fact, the end of their night. Complaints to the staff about this had them apologising and assuring us that they'd sent up security several times to quiten the noise but it was coming from so many places and always moving from one room to another with slamming doors and banging feet up and down corridors while screaming loudly as they went. This meant there wasn't one single outbreak of boisterousness to be able to deal with. We were also assured we'd receive a discount to somehow compensate us for our discomfort but - of course- no discount was ever sent!

GGuest UserAll ok except assigned a disabled room for no,reason. All bathroom fittings low level to accommodate wheelchair users which were difficult to use if not in wheelchair also the water tap for showere was very stiff and virtually impossible to turn, off when wet. Room service food very limited due nil chef. Parking worked well but was an extra cost I wasn’t expecting till just before arrival.

GGuest UserGreat centrally located city hotel. Clean, modern and friendly /helpful staff. I received a lovely welcome message from the General Manager and Operations Manager as were were part of the Wedding Group. There was a nice touch as we received a mini bottle of Liverpool Gin to drink or to have as a takeaway souvenir. Breakfast was ok except the coffee machine broke down. Luckily we could get a coffee from the bar. Some feedback - it would be good if the hotel could invest in a proper Italian barista coffee machine as some of the guests do not like Nescafé type coffee! A proper coffee with coffee beans and made at the time is much appreciated !

汪汪The staff are very enthusiastic and feel that Liverpool's service industry is just so good. Outside restaurants, sightseeing buses, museums and other staff are particularly enthusiastic. This hotel pays for breakfast by yourself. Guests staying in the hotel will get a 20% discount, 8 pounds. It is the first time for a child to eat English breakfast, which is very novel and leaves a good impression. The room in this hotel is very big. I have four people with one bed per person. The room is very big, except for the bed.

NNo_return_dateThis is an old grand hotel. Great location an easy walk to many popular destinations. The room is huge with high ceilings and the bed was comfortable. Please know that this hotel is huge and you literally have to walk around the halls to find an elevator. The furniture in the rooms needs some updating and the flooring in front of the elevators on each floor desperately needs renovation but this property overall is a good value.

LLisaPeach23Disaster. Rooms were far from clean with very few items stocked. No mugs at all. All surfaces were dirty. Windows/blinds didn’t work and a huge hike up stairs with large bags. Couch filthy. My elderly parents were in a room with the living area in the basement which stank due to the shower leaking and the carpets were soaked. Their room was on the Main Street with people smoking & drinking directly outside. Customer service woeful - zero communication or help with check in and over two weeks later we are still waiting for 250 pound security deposit to be returned. Completely unacceptable and we are having to chase daily.

GGuest UserCity Studios, Rodney Street, is an excellent location in Liverpool - easily accessible for cultural and city attractions. The system for gaining access to the property worked well, in that the access codes came in good time and were fairly easy to use. The studio was lovely and warm, comfortable and clean, with good kitchen facilities. The only thing wrong was that the shower didn't work, although there was plenty of hot water. As we were only staying one night, we didn't ask for help with this, as we only found out quite late in the evening. If we'd been staying longer, we would have contacted the help number, and I'm sure something would have been done about it. We would use this venue again.
