Nice hotel. People were friendly and room was nice and clean

This hotel should not be rated at an 8.4. It is a 5 at best. Positives: close to restaurants and shopping, bed was comfortable. Negatives: customer service at check in ( the person couldn’t care less, said there were no extra blankets, offered us a decorative throw, didn’t even stand up, I had to practically climb over the counter to give her my ID). Was given an old,tired, room, chicklet sized pillows, frosted up fridge, gross tub with pink old on shower, black mold in the caulking, towels were old and thin. Room was not soundproof as there was someone pacing the floor above us all night long it seemed. Breakfast was ok…but not sanitary, probably not up to health department code. Mini fridge contained a jug of milk, a tub of margarine, a jar of grape jelly from Walmart. No napkins, just a role of paper towels. Just weird, obviously trying to save money. At check out, I was asked how my stay was. Manager told me there were better rooms he could give us next time. My sense was because I reserved on a booking site, we were assigned a sub par area of the hotel. Nope, there won’t be a next time.

Black mold in the air vent. Rust and ripped shower mat. Broken furniture. Stains on the sheets. What looked like spilled coffee/liquid on the whole side of the night stand. The lock on the door was coming off. The entire lobby smelled like whatever the person was eating at the front desk. He also got his food on my papers.

We had a terrible stay at the Quality Inn in Stafford, VA. We were given room 116 that is against the elevator mechanical room. 3 or 4 times during the night, we would hear what sounded like a loud pump running for several minutes. On top of that, the heating system was antiquated and made an insane amount of noise. I had to turn it down to help us sleep. The dresser’s top surface was sticky, not sure why. And finally, the wifi was not working anywhere. No wonder why there was no wifi password! I don’t know how the staff can assign that room to any customer.

We stayed overnight while traveling from Florida. The place was overall clean, although there was a general smell throughout the hotel while we walked from the lobby to the room that wasn’t pleasant. Once we were in our room we didn’t have any problems. We left early in the morning.

The smell of the room was so overwhelming that I had an asthma attack. I conveyed this concern to the front desk and I was told the room was recently sprayed with chemicals. I’m still experiencing headaches from that horrible chemical smell.

We were booked into a handicapped-accessible unit though we didn't request it. The tub shower was not accessible to anyone with physically challenges. It had a high step-in height and the only grab-bar was on the wall under the showerhead. A painting that had apparently fallen off the wall above the bed was simply left leaning against a wall. Check-in staff couldn't be bothered to stand-up when we entered at about 5pm. She remained seated for the entire process and was not at all friendly. Free breakfast omelets were cold at 7:15am, the cheese hadn't even melted inside and there was no staff around replacing food. Disappointing stay overall.

Arrived at the property after many hours sitting in traffic, to be told I did not have a reservation. I booked through Travelocity, gave the attendant all the information and she continued to tell me I did not have a reservation. Her attitude was completely unfriendly and she made no attempt to resolve the situation. We ended up leaving there for a different hotel. I would appreciate a refund from my original booking. Thank you.

Rooms were very clean. Friend liked breakfast. I do not eat breakfast. Reasonably priced.
