Years ago we stayed in Fredericksburg at one of the worst Motel 6’s of my memory. This place was nice. Grounds were spotless and room was well cleaned, towels good, mattress fine. We had two double beds and it was okay because the mattress was firm, as we are not really used to a double. We were supposed to have a king or queen, but they were all upstairs and ground floor was much more convenient - both for the dog and for toting bags around. Woman was very nice and helpful at checkin. Place to eat next door, but it smelled bad and the building looked like it was probably in better shape in the 1960s. Kebabs…. Halal, though. We went across the street to Panera. Quiet. We were on the back side away from the road, though. One note: this area is nowhere near ‘old town’. Maybe nearer than other places ??? Good shower.

Horrible experience, very sketch and unsafe. Rude staff. A fight broke out while checking in and I wasn't allowed to be inside the lobby even after explaining that I did not feel safe as a small women standing outside with the people fighting. Rude staff. Dirty bug infeated moldy rooms. Such a gross experience. To top off the Horrible night they didn't even offer coffee or a peice of fruit for breakfast as advertised. My daughter's wedding was this past weekend at Potomac Point Winery. Our family and friends (in over 40 rooms) all stayed at this property and everyone was happy! The rooms were clean, lovely with comfortable beds and pillows. The hotel helped us with room blocks, a special welcome reception in the Bistro, shuttles to the venue and handing out welcome bags to guests as they checked in. All of the staff was helpful, kind and welcoming to our guests. But I especially ant to highlight one staff member, her name is Luz and she is a member of the house keeping staff. My mother in-law was incredibly grateful for the assistance she received from Luz. Making this trip was physically challenging for my mother in-law, my husband and I were so moved to learn of the special attention and assistance that Luz provided. Upon their arrival Luz noticed that a shower chair might be helpful for her (and it was!) she brought one to her room. She also saw her struggling to get a glass of water in the lobby and provided assistance. There were several other kind gestures and it all made my mother in-law feel so welcome! What a wonderful and dedicated employee, the Marriott company is very fortunate to have her. She really went above and beyond. Being the hosts of a wedding kept us busy - learning that our mom was so cared for just meant the world to us. Luz also showed us photos of the special ”Just Married” decorations she put out for the newlyweds! It looked beautiful and was such a sweet and special touch. My daughter and son in-law really appreciated it! We would not hesitate to recommend this property!

Nightmare!!!!! After my crew traveled 11 hours to get to the hotel and check in, the reservations (all 4 rooms for 2 nights that were confirmed twice!!! once on the day of check in!!!) were not honored. I was told that they just over booked and basically that was that. The General Manager was absolutely NO help and really quite rude about the situation......I understand why they have problems after our short conversation...only bright spot was a young lady at the front desk who really tried to help my guys and actually cared about a bad situation that she did not create..

We stayed at this Sleep Inn 6 years ago, and based off my review at that time, we decided to stay again on our way to The Outer Banks. I needed 2 rooms and the price was right. It served the purpose we needed ; a stopover to break up our trip.. The bed was comfortable and the shower was wonderful. The carpet throughout needs to be replaced. It was very dirty. There was something spilled on the bed skirt of my son's bed and it looked gross. The complimentary breakfast was average continental fare, and the breakfast area was clean. Again, it was fine. The staff was very friendly and the lady at the front desk, whose name I have forgotten, was helpful and accommodating. She made sure our rooms were on the same floor with the necessary number of beds. My son is disabled so we needed the first floor. When my request was made, someone from the hotel contacted me to let me know that my request would be honored.

Nightmare!!!!! After my crew traveled 11 hours to get to the hotel and check in, the reservations (all 4 rooms for 2 nights that were confirmed twice!!! once on the day of check in!!!) were not honored. I was told that they just over booked and basically that was that. The General Manager was absolutely NO help and really quite rude about the situation......I understand why they have problems after our short conversation...only bright spot was a young lady at the front desk who really tried to help my guys and actually cared about a bad situation that she did not create..

This is an old motel that has been updated. It has some throwbacks like a 9ft deep pool, sunlamps in the bathrooms and popcorn walls. Updated with nice beds/bedding, good Wi-Fi and AC, fridges, microwave, coffee maker, etc. I like the charm and friendliness and the pool is gorgeous. The towels are a little thin/sad. Across the driveway is a Holiday Inn Express . It is a more modern hotel with inside entrances and smells very clean. Costs a little more and no free breakfast, but that place also seems like a good option. A few odd things about the Clarion. 1) There is an extra, “indoor” pool with an old hot tub. In case you can’t use the outdoor one? Kind of crazy construction. 2) I’ve seen this before in VA but this hotel will not accept guests who live within 50 miles. 3) Here is one I have never seen. This place has a warning on the wall by the pool that chlorinated water may be damaging to your hair. 😂 I’ll try to post a picture.

Years ago we stayed in Fredericksburg at one of the worst Motel 6’s of my memory. This place was nice. Grounds were spotless and room was well cleaned, towels good, mattress fine. We had two double beds and it was okay because the mattress was firm, as we are not really used to a double. We were supposed to have a king or queen, but they were all upstairs and ground floor was much more convenient - both for the dog and for toting bags around. Woman was very nice and helpful at checkin. Place to eat next door, but it smelled bad and the building looked like it was probably in better shape in the 1960s. Kebabs…. Halal, though. We went across the street to Panera. Quiet. We were on the back side away from the road, though. One note: this area is nowhere near ‘old town’. Maybe nearer than other places ??? Good shower.

A fight broke out while checking in and I wasn't allowed to be inside the lobby even after explaining that I did not feel safe as a small women standing outside with the people fighting. Rude staff. First and foremost. The receptionist Danyell was chipper and super friendly. Customer service skills on 100 . She made me feel welcome and definitely warm and fuzzy . She made me feel valued and appreciated. The breakfast was fantastic as usual. The facilities were clean and neat. The next day I was plesantly surprised my a call from the manager Kimberly. We stayed at this Sleep Inn 6 years ago, and based off my review at that time, we decided to stay again on our way to The Outer Banks. I needed 2 rooms and the price was right. It served the purpose we needed ; a stopover to break up our trip.. The bed was comfortable and the shower was wonderful. The carpet throughout needs to be replaced. It was very dirty. There was something spilled on the bed skirt of my son's bed and it looked gross. The complimentary breakfast was average continental fare, and the breakfast area was clean. Again, it was fine. The staff was very friendly and the lady at the front desk, whose name I have forgotten, was helpful and accommodating. She made sure our rooms were on the same floor with the necessary number of beds. My son is disabled so we needed the first floor. When my request was made, someone from the hotel contacted me to let me know that my request would be honored.

My daughter's wedding was this past weekend at Potomac Point Winery. Our family and friends (in over 40 rooms) all stayed at this property and everyone was happy! The rooms were clean, lovely with comfortable beds and pillows. The hotel helped us with room blocks, a special welcome reception in the Bistro, shuttles to the venue and handing out welcome bags to guests as they checked in. All of the staff was helpful, kind and welcoming to our guests. But I especially ant to highlight one staff member, her name is Luz and she is a member of the house keeping staff. My mother in-law was incredibly grateful for the assistance she received from Luz. Making this trip was physically challenging for my mother in-law, my husband and I were so moved to learn of the special attention and assistance that Luz provided. Upon their arrival Luz noticed that a shower chair might be helpful for her (and it was!) she brought one to her room. She also saw her struggling to get a glass of water in the lobby and provided assistance. There were several other kind gestures and it all made my mother in-law feel so welcome! What a wonderful and dedicated employee, the Marriott company is very fortunate to have her. She really went above and beyond. Being the hosts of a wedding kept us busy - learning that our mom was so cared for just meant the world to us. Luz also showed us photos of the special ”Just Married” decorations she put out for the newlyweds! It looked beautiful and was such a sweet and special touch. My daughter and son in-law really appreciated it! We would not hesitate to recommend this property!
