Reviews of The Stamford Hotel

Upon checking in we found our first room unbelievably filthy.  The carpet was dirty and red/brown stains multiple places on the wall. The manager (I believe) was very accommodating and switched our room immediately.  The second room was much better but I don’t know why there were only 2 sets of towels in each room.  The AC went out on day 2 and 3 people in our group were affected.  One group checked out and went to a nearby Marriott.  We booked 6 rooms total and 3 of us had to switch rooms atleast once.  We didn’t visit the gym or pool but the lobby  was nice.  The bartender was great and the food we ate was great.  There is no breakfast and a bottle of water is $6 😳.  Overall,  the stay was bearable but I would never come back.

The bed was really comfortable, I like that it was high up. The room and bathroom were clean. I didn’t see a microwave which we didn’t need though. It was perfect for what we needed and we would stay again when we are in the area.

The staff was amazing. However the place really needs an update and the ac doesn’t really work in the main parts of hotel.

In room 436 the shower wasn’t draining accordingly . The carpet was dirty and the HVAC ******.

It was not the most comfortable stay- very loud air conditioner that woke us up. There was no good cleaning service - you had to call and ask for cleaning of the room. Coffee was served only between 6-8 Am-so ridiculous! Lots of people complained! For such an expensive hotel, they should have a continental breakfast and free coffee all day! I will not book at this hotel again.

Walking into the main lobby, you get a pretty favorable impression. Everything looks clean and fairly updated. However, the room furniture was a totally different story. It all looked very worn and dated. Corners and paint were chipped off, most notably in the bathroom. Clearly, the furniture hadn't been replaced in quite some time. One feature of the service that I didn't like is that you had to specially request each day that you wanted to have the room cleaned and made up. I used to think that service was standard practice. I don't stay in hotels very much anymore, so perhaps my expectations are out of whack with what hotel accommodations have evolved to these days.

My first night at the hotel was fantastic, setting a positive tone for my stay. The second night brought a few challenges—minimal bathroom ventilation, a louder air conditioner, and some trouble connecting to Wi-Fi. However, the hotel staff were attentive and promptly offered me a new room, which resolved these issues and provided a much smoother experience. I took advantage of the fitness center, though navigating the new treadmills was a bit tricky since they weren’t pre-programmed. While the pool closure was disappointing, the hotel acknowledged my concerns and generously offered me a complimentary dinner with a drink. On the third night, I accidentally left my car keys behind when heading out in the morning. Upon returning, my key card didn’t work, but the staff quickly resolved the issue. Later, I relaxed in my room, appreciating the view despite a minor inconvenience with a broken curtain rod. Once again, the hotel addressed my concerns with care, granting me a complimentary night and a refund as a gesture of goodwill. While the hotel has room for improvement with its facilities, the staff truly stood out with their professionalism, teamwork, and genuine efforts to ensure my comfort. Their dedication turned what could have been a frustrating experience into one that left me feeling valued. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Garbage old hotel, all products from the past, very low cost performance, there are no good hotels in this area, sanitation is ok, but the facilities are all aging. It's ok

A very average hotel, relatively old, not very cost-effective at this price. Because my children were going to a competition, I booked this hotel. Parking is not free, 20/night. Broadband is free. The biggest problem is that the sound insulation is very, very poor. There were quite a lot of people checking in that day, and the corridor manager said it was causing trouble. The boy in the next room seemed to be drunk and was beating the wall. The wall turned out to be an ordinary wooden structure, and the noise was very loud, seriously affecting rest. The hotel does not have disposable slippers. I will definitely not make a reservation next time I go there.
