I stayed here for 2 nights with my family of 4 (a couple and 2 elementary school students) during the year-end and New Year holidays. This inn seems to have opened in October 2022 after being renovated from another ryokan, so it feels more for foreigners than for Japanese people. Of course, the staff can communicate in Japanese, but they seemed to be foreign nationals. All staff were friendly. It was my first time in Nara, but the location was good. It is close to Nara Park, and all shrine areas such as Kasuga Taisha are within walking distance. It is also an area where there are many stylish restaurants, so I think adults can enjoy it. My family had two elementary school students who liked and disliked meals, so I prefer family restaurants and Italian restaurants rather than bars and izakayas, but it was okay. There is no elevator, but the suitcases and luggage I left before check-in were carried to the room. It's a wooden building, so the walls are thin, and there was a sign saying no loud noises. The bath is a hot spring and the spring quality is good, but it cannot be said that it is large. There are 3 showers in the men's bath and 10 lockers with locks in the dressing room, but it was so cramped if two adults changed clothes at the same time. If you are an adult, it is better to have about 2 people at the same time, and if 3 to 4 people enter, it will be full. It's just a little bigger than a home bath. There was one coin laundry. You need to bring your own detergent, but there is a washing machine and dryer, which is recommended for long-term guests and those who want to keep luggage to a minimum. Necessary amenities are available at the front desk. There is no refrigerator and TV in the room, so it would be nice if it was easy, but it was a little inconvenient when drinking alcohol bought at a convenience store in the room. The toilet in the room has also been renovated, and it feels like a clean home toilet.
The boss is a Chinese girl, especially good, you can introduce authentic local life suggestions, supermarkets, food, play, and the structure of traditional Japanese-style one-family construction can feel the quiet local culture, great, in addition to convenient transportation, quiet in the middle of noisy, whether it is to go to the Yuwu Bookstore, Montball is not far from Don Quixote, and it is also close to JR Nara Station.

Welcomed right from the get go even though our room wasn't quite ready! The staff were incredibly kind. Honestly, finding an affordable accommodation in Nara at this good of a location does not come easy, and so if you're traveling on a budget this is an excellent option. Room was very clean, air conditioning worked very well on those hot summer days, we were in the budget room but it was still decently comfortable and spacious for two people. Definitely would recommend.

It is a building that feels the age at first glance, but when I stepped in, the nostalgic space that was carefully maintained spread. The room I stayed in ”Awafuji” was a really nice room. In a tatami room with a wide 々, the ceiling is high and you can feel ”I came to stay at my grandparents' house”. I thought it was lit up without worrying when I saw the garden at night. It was only once that I was able to meet the staff because it was a corona cherry blossom, but I was able to feel the hospitality of the hospitality. I would like to let you go again.

The hotel in general is a reasonably priced hot spring inn, with good customer service and spacious rooms, but a little old. There were many small children, and it was fully booked, even though it was not a weekend. We had the 1,300-year-old gourmet cuisine ”Tenpyo no Utage,” which claims to be the only one of its kind in Japan. The cuisine was created with the support of archaeologists and culinary experts over five years, based on wooden tablets, pottery, and documents excavated from Heijo Palace. Including the 20 years since then, it has a tradition of 35 years. Each dish was explained to us. It was very delicious, and almost all the dishes were Michelin one-star level. However, some dishes left a disappointing impression. The daigo, a cheese-like dish made by boiling down milk, was overcooked and was dry and hard. It was much browner than the sample. The wild boar meat was too hard and had lost too much moisture. The dried figs had lost too much moisture. The other dishes, as you would expect from imperial court cuisine, were just the right firmness and very delicious. I was put off by the fact that the only drink available was white sake (shiroki: cloudy sake), even though it was apparently all-you-can-drink. The tea (not sure what kind of tea it was) that came towards the end was not tasty either, but it was easier to drink than white sake, so I wish it had been brought out sooner. Imperial court cuisine, whether Okinawan, Korean, Chinese, or French, is indescribably delicious. I would definitely recommend trying ancient Japanese imperial court cuisine. You can enjoy the ancient imperial court cuisine alone, even without staying overnight. The Tenpyo Banquet is the pinnacle of this hotel!!!

It's not too far from Nara Park and the station, so it's good to walk around, and it's near the lake, so it's good to walk at night. It's an alley, so you can feel the alley of Japan while walking in the morning and during the day, but it's scary at night! If you enter the building password, there are some kinds of iron sticks that can tie your luggage or luggage, and if you enter the room off-duplex, there are bathrooms, washbasins, and toilets in the room. The double-story ladder is a bit scary, but there is no problem. It was so clean and everything was good, but one problem? The point is that the building off-duty sound comes into my room, but I thought I pressed the password to enter my room. The sound is very loud. But I stayed for 2 nights on Thursday and Saturday, but I don't know if the sound of the room in the room is soundproof because all the people who used the building together for 2 nights stayed quiet, but I couldn't hear the sound of people!! I only heard the sound of the building password! Totally revisited doctor 100000%

The reception and bathroom outside are okay, there is a washing machine, but the small room is mixed with men and women, and the curtains are not sealed, you can see inside, and the lights are dim, it is a bit scary to be alone. No one was there when we checked out. After waiting for a while, we put the room card at the front desk and left. One door is the dormitory area, and the other is the washing area. The dormitory area requires you to enter the password, but the washing area and the dormitory area are connected. You can enter the washing area casually. I feel so scared to stay overnight and run away. The price is cheap, but there is no sense of security.

Outstanding
GGuest UserStayed for 2 days in two different rooms - Japanese style and modern one. It was an overall positive experience. + Great location + Good view (not excellent because of the trees, but it's still good) + Very friendly and helpful staff + They speak English + Convenience store (not 24h) at the basement + Spacy rooms for Japan and given price - Not many things are included in the room but could be asked on reception - Some modernization/refreshment would be useful Additionally, there is a Visitor Center on the 1st floor, where you could find any information you need about Nara and the nearby areas. Things like what is better to visit to sightsee or to eat. Including in English. Had a great talk with Jay-san and visited some of the places he recommended. Thanks!
GGuest UserThe room is near the south gate of Ruocao Mountain. There are many deer at the door. You can rest assured that the children can feed the deer and rest in the room.
Room has living room, laundry, drying, kitchenette, microwave. No TV, but wifi is fast.
It is very quiet at night, and there are birds in the forest in the morning. The sun shines in the leaves, which can make people stay in a daze for a long time.
Very close to the Spring Festival Dashe, Dongda Temple walks for ten minutes, Ruocao Mountain is recommended to go after 6 pm, the day is too hot, there are many deer on the hillside at night.
GGuest UserThis guest house is located at the entrance of Mt. Wakakusa. ● Room The room only has large towels, toothbrushes, hair dryers, hangers, beds and windows. There is no TV, hand towels, yukata, etc. The downside is that the floor is creaking just a little walk, so even if there are people walking upstairs or corridors, you can see it. Also, there is no place to eat nearby in the morning or at night, so let's eat or buy it in front of the station. ● Common section There is a tea set and a dining space in the common section. There is one shared washroom, one toilet 2, and one shower booth 3 each 々 shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. Since the number of rooms is small, I could use it comfortably without wearing it with other people. ● Transportation Transportation costs about 1200 yen by taxi from Kintetsu Nara Station. If you have time for the bus, there is a 100 yen bus so you can get there nearby. It will take less than 30 minutes on foot from Kintetsu Nara Station.
VVeroncia.[Room configuration] The double room has decent space, and you can put a suitcase under the bed. Pajamas and toiletries must be picked up at the front desk.
The room has a floor-to-ceiling window, which cannot be opened, but the view in the morning is really good!
There is a public bath with fixed hours, the laundry room and dryer are good, and laundry detergent is provided.
[Geographic location] It is very close to Nara Station. Turn left and go straight for 2 intersections. Going to Nara Park is just going straight out of the station. Please note that the hotel entrance is on the side when using Google navigation, not uphill.
[Hotel service] The front desk is very enthusiastic and luggage can be stored.
JJIAJUNIt is a Japanese homestay, booked a Japanese-style room (the boss is really good as everyone commented), except for the small room, other health and environment are very good. It is very close to Nara Park and is within walking distance. At the same time, it is very close to Nara Subway Station. If you are looking for a good value for money, this hotel is a good choice. recommend!
Uusa878Stayed during the shosoin exhibition. I found that I was looking for a private room (because the guest house is impossible) because I only use it to sleep almost on a solo trip. It was a room of 4 tatami mats and half, but there was no problem using it alone, and the joint toilet and toilet were cleaned cleanly. The bath is a hot spring, and it is not timing or batting with other guests, and it is rental every day. It was very good to put your legs in a big bath because I was very tired to walk a lot. I only met at check-in, but the staff also felt good with a smile and stayed with peace of mind. Because it is an old building, the door opening and closing and the voice in the corridor are echoing. I wonder if anyone who cares. It was very convenient to make a tourist base within walking distance from the station and Nara Park.
GGuest UserThe location is right in the shopping street and also at the Kintetsu exit, it is only 15 minutes to go to the park. The staff is warm and courteous, the hot springs are fine but quiet enough. The hotel is old but tidy, there is no daily necessities except old towels, including a blow dryer in the hot spring area, and there is nothing towels lock. Of course, this price can't be too much, remember this is a hotel. I was impressed by the invincible location and courteous staff, I can't say whether I like it or not.
AAYAKA-BUNHow do you say it, it feels like the original love hotel, the first time I stayed in this room, it feels a bit strange. The room is very big, very colorful, if you mind to be careful. There is a certain distance from the Kintetsu Daihe Nishiji Temple and the Shin-Omiya Station. In the middle of the two stations, the urban pavement is the kind of non-slip ground, and it is difficult to carry the luggage. But the scenery along the road is great. Going to Nara will pass through a river with cherry blossoms on both sides. Going to the Yamato Station and passing the Pingcheng Palace, the unexpected scenery. The key to the room must be handed over to the customer's front desk. In fact, it was found that it was good to choose a hotel near the Dahe Xidasi Station. The station was very big and it was very convenient to go there. The hotel was cheaper than the Nara Station.
GGuest UserThis hotel is good, but the location is very collapsed, in a very remote place, you need to take the bus, next to the mountain and bamboo forest, it is scary at night, there is nothing around
