I am on way home from visit my wife's family in Kranuan. Need a bed in Khon Kaen 2 nights before early flight to Perth tmro morning. Had a very filling breakfast this morning, just about anything you need, except if you dumb Aussie like me, COFFEE, cereal, fruit yoghurt honey breakfast ... so from 7 11 up the street, I had that stashed in the little room fridge. Snuck it into the restaurant this morning and helped myself to the fantastic service of staff and fresh fruit and COFFEE made a good old mess haha. Once again really good service by staff that should get a pay rise. Even the room cleaning lady was friendly

Was shocked when we first entered the room as it was old, unlike the marketing photos that were shown on Agoda and in the hotel. The toilet was also badly infested with cockroaches, we had to kill about 20+ small and medium sized cockroaches over the few nights that we stayed there. The reception staff were also unfriendly. We are very disappointed and do not recommend this hotel.

The bed is comfortable, everything works, access and parking are good, rooms are very clean and well serviced by efficient, helpful and friendly staff. BUT . . . .Funky (though irrelevant) decor can never overcome basic problems with any establishment. There is no possible way this place deserves the high rating received. I was unfortunately forced to extend my stay so can write with some experience. First, the noise: the building has a U-shape design facing the street so it cleverly collects all the street noise and directs it into the front rooms, and what street noise. All night bikes and cars, even loud conversations exacerbated by a further design feature, the balconies, which require opening doors and therefore exclude the possibility of well-sealed windows. Then there is the white tiled floors which carry internal sounds nicely ensuring various knocks, loud TV and cleaning activity are clearly audible. Those same white tiles throughout also ensure plenty of reflected glare from sun and downlights as well. It all probably looked good in the plans! More importantly there is the kitchen, or rather lack of one. How a large modern hotel believes it can operate conveniently for guests without any kitchen or even dining area is a mystery. Again, worsened by the lack of reasonable equipment and utensils in the rooms - no sink, few cutlery/crockery pieces, no microwave which you would think a hotel without a kitchen would provide. Enquiring of desk staff what to do the answer was mostly of a shrugging nature. They didn't say eg that across the road was the hotel Le Cassia with a very pleasant dining area and breakfast for 150 baht. A walk around found some recompense in street food and a couple of fancy restaurants but they were a fair walk and not much good for breakfast. So location, also nah! To go anywhere you need a lengthy walk or a vehicle, and there isn't the ready availability of tuk-tuks or cabs as there is elsewhere. All-in-all this adds up to a pretty poor experience, despite any good points the hotel has, and it does have some as described. Value is just as available in other hotels without the drawbacks. The desk staff could be a little less sullen and more forthcoming also, and have some English - it is the hospitality industry after all. Most of this of course cannot be changed by management but more effort to overcome the problems would go a long way to improvement.

A bit expensive, not worth the price. Almost 2 thousand per night. We stayed in Bangkok. There was a variety of food. Continental breakfast, sushi, salad bar, and Thai food. The price was only 1,000 baht with change. The price of Khon Kaen and Bangkok is this different.

It is a hotel in Khon Kaen located parallel to the sky train. Close to Charoensri Intersection (Ton Tan Market Intersection), close to many important places, including the train station, Bus Station 3, BigC, Ton Tan Market, CentralKhonKaen, etc. It is recommended to book through the app to reserve accommodation. It will be cheaper than voicing. The room is a train platform theme. Employees will call customers staying as passengers. Looks confused but nice

The accommodation is next to the road. But the car is not very active. There is spacious parking in the back. The receptionist was polite and willing to serve. Got a room on the 3rd floor, but the elevator had to walk up half a floor. Overall, it's not stuck because it's not very high. You can easily walk up to the 3rd floor. The corridor is spacious and bright. The room is clean. organized into proportions The mattress is not soft, not so hard that it hurts my back. I sleep very comfortably. Close to tourist attractions, convenient to travel. Overall, it's good. Recommend staying.

Roma Hotel or Roma Hotel is located on the city road. Khon Kaen Municipality It is a hotel that has been built for many years as well, but the interior has been renovated to look a modern model, but still has a mix of classic and old style hotels. Close to many tourist attractions, great prices, opposite there are famous restaurants. Next to the en-ot shop is a souvenir shop of Che Rat Khon Kaen.

AAnonymous UserDust and hair are still there every time I stay. The bedside phone has a lot of dust. The service of the staff is good in every part. I am confused about the hot and cold shower. The breakfast is delicious. The staff is smiling. The fitness room is clean. Overall, it is good, except for the dust and hair.
CCoffee CThe Chada Veranda is an honest mid-range, centrally located hotel, in Khon Kaen City, Isaan, Thailand. This guest-friendly accommodation option, was suggested to me, by a fellow expat and glad I followed the advice, as I really enjoyed my short stay here. Highlights being the economical and hearty breakfast, as well as the magnificent pool. My room was spacious with a big comfortable bed and an excellent television set-up, too. Well pleased with decision to stay awhile at the Hotel Chada Veranda (see my YouTube), in downtown Khon Kaen.
GGuest UserThe location is a short walk down an alley after crossing the traffic light at Central Plaza. There was a balcony. Occasionally I can hear chickens crowing, but it's not a bad thing. The room was clean and had hot water and good water pressure. There are private shops nearby and a 7-11 within a short walk. It's near Central Plaza, so you won't have any trouble finding a meal.
CConfirmed-ExplorerWe visited Kohn Kaen in December 2019 for the slik festival. We had an excellent stay at Hotel La Villa. The room was modern, clean and well-equipped, and had a nice view of the koi pond. The service was very good. Khun Bee, speaks excellent English, and she really went out of her way to help us. Breakfast was nice. We especially liked the tropic fruit which was served. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
MMarcia SAs an American geology professor, I have stayed in many Thai hotels and have found none the offers the unique simple elegance of The Charm. A quiet oasis in the heart of a fast-paced, evolving neighborhood, the Charm is a very special and surprisingly affordable hotel. Spotless rooms, comfortable beds, fluffy towels, great hot showers, excellent free breakfasts with a variety of Asian and traditional American choices, a beautiful lobby and eating area, and a fleet of free loaner bicycles are just some of the reasons I love staying at the Charm. Attentive staff members are so friendly and, although not all will respond to me in English, they usually understand me and will consult a co-worker who can facilitate, if necessary. The highlight of my stays at the Charm is a zen-like garden park, with a large lotus-filled pond, and a walking trail that features native stones and plants. These immaculate grounds host families of geese, chickens, and fish ponds filled with lively koi and goldfish which are a testement to the creative passion of the hotel owner and her family. There are no coffee pots, microwaves, weight rooms or swimming pools at the Charm, but instead a simple peaceful ambiance that frees the soul. During several month-long collaborations at Khon Kean University over the past 5 years, I have found the proximity to campus to be ideal. There is a local fitness park/small lake within walking distance and the hotel is surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops, and is withn a block of a 7-11's and laundromats. Unlike so many affordable hotels I've stayed at in Thailand, the Charm is well mantained. During my most recent stay (2019), electrical outlets, air conditioning units and bathroom rennovations were being made (although I didn't notice any deterioration in my room).
พพลอยไปไหนClean rooms, spacious bedrooms, wide bathrooms, good value for money, good service, close to tourist attractions. Breakfast is good, suitable for the price.
AAnonymous UserOverall is medium for staying only one night, but one thing that isn’t acceptable is the cleanliness for this price. I don’t think the hotel did a good job on preparing the room. There was dust almost everywhere. And the bed sheet wasn’t clean and still damp. For the reception, not impressed but okay. I would’ve recommended if the services have been good but oh well.
SStormSpearFrom the photos in Agoda, it certainly looks impressive. On the ground, it is just so-so or average. I actually booked a room on the high floor which means on the 3rd floor (highest) if you do not include the ground floor rooms; I was told there is no lift up and I will have to carry my luggage up to 3rd floor. At that moment, I was wondering what if there are families with elderly or children and with more than one large luggage, won't it be a hassle for them. I hesitated for a brief moment and ask for a change of room on the ground level even though my luggage is just a cabin bag because to me the stairs are quite steep. The location of this family-run hotel is right into a small Soi with residences and a school surrounding it, therefore the ambient in the night is quiet. Except for your neighbor in the adjoining room who decided to hold a party, otherwise, it is peaceful. Towards my room on the ground floor, the loosen door handle greeted me. I have to be careful to get the right alignment to open the door and also fear for the doorknob to be completely dislocated and ultimately blamed for spoiling the doorknob upon my first entry. Fortunately, nothing happened and luckily, it was just a one night stay for me. The room is spacious with signs of aging. It is clean and well kept but not what you will expect from the photos you see from Agoda, probably due to high traffic volume on the ground floor since most people would prefer not to climb the stairs. I suppose if this room is compared to the 3rd floor, the room on the 3rd floor should be newer in perspective. The facilities in the room seemed alright. Water pressure is excellent with constant hot water. The bed is a little hard but is fine for a comfortable sleep. There is a water container with cups available just outside the checking in counter on the foyer for free serving. But on the cold weather of December, I am reluctant to quench my thirst with extremely cold water. Checking out in the morning was simple. Just hand over the key and you were good to go. This was a one-off experience for me and I don't think I will be coming back to this hotel again.
GGuest UserWe stayed for two days. The hotel was okay. The lroad To the location was a tiny road with lots of bumps. Wasn’t easy to find. Hotel was an old hotel but clean fairly. The breakfast wasn’t good at all. Not much selection
TTZULIENFacing the road is a bit noisy. Breakfast is also very simple. In the back, the room facing the lake is not bad. Um, the restaurant kitchen is good at ordering craftsmanship, for dinner. What I miss is the chef's craftsmanship.
