4-Star Hotels in Gili Trawangan

We stayed at the villa for 3 nights and were very pleased. The villa is clean, and it's clear everything is new and well-maintained. The furniture is in excellent condition, and all the appliances work perfectly, with nothing breaking or causing any inconvenience. We especially appreciated the good soundproofing – it was quiet and comfortable inside. The staff is very friendly and responsive: always available and quick to help with any questions. Yes, there's construction nearby, but it didn't bother us – the noise was moderate and only during the day when we were usually out. Overall, we had only positive impressions and would happily return again.

An amazing place! Tucked away from the main roads and horse trails, it’s peaceful and has a wonderfully secluded vibe. The staff is attentive and friendly, the breakfasts are delicious with a wide variety to choose from. The room was clean, cozy, and everything looked new or very well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right on the beachfront with private sun loungers. The staff are welcoming, and there's a tap outside each villa to rinse off sand after the beach. We were greeted wonderfully and checked in immediately as our room was ready. They promptly brought welcome drinks and cold towels. Regarding the downsides: there are no disposable toothbrushes or body lotion. The water isn't in disposable bottles but in a carafe that you have to refill yourself in the lobby. The room is very dark with insufficient lighting. The windows aren't airtight, leading to high street noise, especially when the call to prayer starts at night. The refrigerator is also very noisy. The air conditioner is positioned to blow directly onto the bed, so we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed. The AC is also loud. There were strange worm-like caterpillars crawling in the bathroom and room. There are no power outlets near the beds. Breakfast is à la carte, with an additional buffet offering vegetables, fruits, cheese, cold cuts, and pastries. The breakfast food isn't very good; poached eggs were overcooked. A plus is that you can order several dishes from the menu. The latte coffee was very bitter, and I had to add milk myself. I believe the price for this hotel is too high. The only plus is the location – it's conveniently situated a 10-minute walk from the port and has a beach spot where you can see turtles.

The room was very clean and right by the beach, with breakfast included – pretty good! It's only 400 meters from the pier, so not too far and not too close, perfectly situated on the east coast where it's not as noisy at night. Plus, it's very close to the turtle diving spot.

We stayed as two couples and had a spectacular time at Kelapa. Ren the manager was ready to help our every need straight away and helped us book bikes and trips. She went as far as confirming we didn't pay too much when we booked others on our own. The villa itself was clean, tidy and exactly what we were looking for. The pool is huge but rather deep for the most part so you'll want to keep an extra eye on children. The Kelapa boys would come by to clean the place every morning about 10-11am and did an excellent job. They were very polite and made sure not to go into your room to clean without asking first. I gave one less star on location because it's in the heart of the island where it's much quieter. If you're looking for a night out you'll definitely need a bike or carriage arranged, otherwise you can expect a long walk home. The hotel has cheap laundry services available. The hotel allows you access to the main fridge to store your own drinks and food. There is free tea and coffee available. 💡 Think about: The location is very remote, next to a farm. Often the farms burn wood and make bonfires and the rooms often smell like bonfire. The hotel offers one choice of fruit, omelette or toast for breakfast. Very small rooms with no safe. The hammocks haven’t been cleaned and some are mouldy. The bathroom is located outside, therefore if you do not like the outdoors, this hotel might not be for you.

Don’t believe the pictures in the advertisement! They don’t reflect reality. The pictures pretend that the hotel is at least a 4 * location. The truth is that this is not the case! It is located at a very poor area in mid of the island where local people burn their trash including plastic. The smell is disgusting it is everywhere, in your room also during night and it burns in your eyes. The hotel is run by a group of very young unprofessional boys and I would like to emphasise that they are really friendly, kind and helpful and try to do their best. They also prepare breakfast in a kitchen which is disgusting! Therefore, I preferred to have breakfast at a proper place even though breakfast was included. See the attached fotos to get an impression what expects you and better choose another hotel if you want to enjoy your holidays. I had to pay 400 € for 3 nights, it is not worth half the price. I tried to get a reimbursement but the hotel didn’t accept. They obviously see the hotel as a cash cow and not a place where their guest should feel comfortable. This was very frustrating! At the end Trip. com accepted my complaint and offered me help. My advice: Choose a hotel at the beach, there are so many!

We enjoyed our stay at the beach house. It had a wonderful swim bar and a nice pool inside and had a nice beach house vibe however, what was really annoying was that me and my friend wanted twin beds but since they were fully booked, we could only get a room with A large bed. They did provide us with an extra bed but charged us 350,000 per night for the bed. That’s roughly the cost of an accommodation somewhere else like Scallywags. That put A bit of a damper on otherwise pleasant stay. Another thing was sometimes in the shower, it was very difficult to get the water to be the right temperature; at times it was scolding hot.

I was in this hotel 6 nights , here the most delicious , generous , beautiful breakfasts , prepare men , great thanks to them 🫶🏻 Everything does with love , neatly . The hotel itself is very beautiful , in the style of Boho , every detail is thought out and in the hotel all for the ecology , the refusal of plastic , which is also very good .Guys on the respiratory are very kind and responsive , settled me early and also allowed to emigrate a little later , the area in the hotel is small but very picturesque, cleaned every day , towels changed but not every day , but it is not critical , the air conditioners all worked , location 7 minutes from the beach , from the central beaches and to the very center of the island you need to go to big 10 minutes. , big took in the hotel and rent for 50 thousand rupees is 250 rubles a day . One of the best hotels we’ve been to! We we’re very well received, and staff was super friendly. Breakfast was really good and so was the overall menu. The rooms we’re amazing, really big and spacious and we really enjoyed the outdoor bathrooms. Location was good, far from the busy and crowded center area but close enough by bike (10-15min), and you can rent them there. Rentals and bookings are a bit more pricey at the hotel, but definitely reliable and guaranteed! Swimming pool was great, and points for the front beach view! The owner of the hotel was also really friendly and helpful. Overall really good, and we can’t wait to go back!
