"Excellent location, a quiet oasis despite being in a bustling area. While the hotel may be older, it's incredibly comfortable, and the suites are generously sized and very cozy. Honestly, my personal experience here rivaled that of more upscale hotels like Langham. The breakfast spread was abundant and satisfying, even featuring congee. Great value for money, and it's a shopper's paradise."

Great
LlymaWe had multiple issues with our 7 nights stay. Which some has been addressed and fixed immediately. One thing we do recommend to confirm check upon arrival or when booking.
Lack of view - we’ve booked the 1 bedroom premium room. From the pictures it looked like floor to ceiling big windows with open view but we were assigned to a room situated in the heritage floors (2nd) which the windows are 1.5m high so have to tippy toes to see the view. Limited sunlight also, bathroom has no window.
Issues we encountered
1) hall way light - wasn’t working on the first night when we checked in at 11pm. We couldn’t even find our room number cause it was so dark, we used the torch on our phone. Wasn’t a nice first impression if you are scared of dark hallways. The sensor was fixed the next day.
2) phone wasn’t working - so we couldn’t contact the front desk. We got in late with a toddler, so we put on ‘do not disturb’ sign but someone banged the door at 8am, to reach us to ‘fix the issues’. Not sure why can’t they just slip us a note under the door.
3) so many flies - the breakfast restaurant have serious pest issues. There were more than 10 flies flying around the buffet and the tables. We didn’t feel comfortable eating there after one visit. The whole duration of the meal, we were waiving off the fly. Major hygiene concern!
4) housekeeping was very average, barely cleaned the room daily. Only made the bed.
5) overall the staff were all friendly, special appreciation to the male staff at the breakfast room. The lady duty manager didn’t seem friendly, carries an attitude and likes to talk over you.
Location is great, round the corner from the tram line.
Will I stay again, most likely not. Feels more like a 4 star hotel, definitely not 5 star.

Great
11391662****The hotel's location is quite convenient; it's about a 10-minute walk to shopping areas, and Chinatown isn't too far either. It's especially suitable for families with children, as they offer family rooms. The two-bedroom, one-living room layout is excellent, with bedrooms on either side of the living room, which helps maintain privacy. This room type also includes breakfast, so there's no need to book an additional breakfast package.

LLeung Wah TimWalking distance to city central, Art Centre and Botanic garden. A lot of restaurants nearby. The one room apartment is of good size. Breakfast is of good spread and nice coffee. There is basement carpark, but take note that the turns from one level to another are very narrow and sharp.

GGuest UserA very friendly atmosphere, staff amazing and the hotel was in a very convenient location. The rooms were very spacious with lovely large windows and natural light. Public transport was close by, a carpark accessible from the hotel and the most amazing restaurant next door, and cafe around the corner. We will definitely be making this our go to hotel when visiting Melbourne CBD. Thank you for a very economical and comfortable stay.
RRovelynWe had a fantastic two-night stay at Lancemore Crossley St. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city with easy access to everything. The room was modern, comfortable, and super clean. We loved the attention to detail, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed yet chic. Highly recommend if you're looking for a stylish and convenient spot in Melbourne!

GgowanchaidotcomWe stayed altogether three nights here. The hotel was converted from a historical building dated back to 1890s . We enjoyed the stay-included breakfast at Alluvial restaurant. It got charming vibe. the King Classic room we stayed is spacious consider it is in zone 1 of Melbourne. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the Melbourne city attractions we are even able to take some rest in the room in our planned city walking trip in the middle of a very hot summer sunny day.
The bathroom provides Byredo toiletries which we like. However, the decor is a bit dated and need refreshing and we are not happy with the service level of the staff. For example, the phone handfree function is not working properly; the safe is according to the hotel ”in the process of replacement” and not working either; the call to ”Instant Service” for help often took more than 5-seconds ring especially during the night time. There is even a false fire alert during one of the morning time of our stay. I doubt it is a standard of Intercontinental hotel or a 5-star rated hotel.
For whom consider staying at this room type of this hotel, please note the windows is fixed and facing the hallway so the room has 1. no natural sunlight 2. no fresh air and 3. needs closing the curtains all the time if you prefer privacy. Another point worth noting is the bathroom floor is very slippery after bath, I would call it a death trap if you wear the one-off slippers that is provided in the room as you can easily get a slip and fall on the bathroom floor even for a grown adult.

CCY TanExceptional Stay at W Hotel Melbourne
I recently stayed at the W Hotel in Melbourne, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless, stylish, and luxurious.
The design of the hotel is modern and chic, with vibrant decor that perfectly captures Melbourne’s cosmopolitan vibe. My room was impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed, and offered stunning views of the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail in amenities—from the plush robes to the high-end toiletries—made it feel like a true escape.
The staff were exceptional—attentive, warm, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my stay was perfect. Dining at the hotel was also a highlight; the food was creative, fresh, and bursting with flavor.
The hotel’s location is ideal, placing you in the heart of Melbourne with easy access to restaurants, shops, and attractions. Whether you’re there for business or leisure, the W Hotel offers the perfect blend of comfort and style.

XXiefei__The hotel was pretty decent. It features an outdoor pool. The on-site gym was under renovation, but they arranged for us to use a commercial gym next door. My only complaint was that the room was quite small, making it feel a bit cramped.
SSolomon LoOn 24/6 I ordered fried eggs during breakfast, yet the quality of the eggs were not up to standard, yolk was not normal and with no taste at all, yet I ordered same on the next day with a different chef, that was back to a normal egg, I wondered Sheraton would use such quality of eggs!
Another opinion is that gym room facilities are not enough, thanks!
