BBingbingle、The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking. The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed. The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.

GGuest UserCame here with my husband and we were absolutely amazed! The location is unbeatable, and you can even feed the seagulls directly from the viewing and breakfast areas. The entire property is stunning, and we even sat by Erhai Lake in the garden late at night, chatting, enjoying the small snacks provided by the guesthouse, listening to the wind, and stargazing. We didn't want to leave! The guesthouse also offers photography outfits and a photographer. The bathing area is thoughtfully designed and very practical. The service is incredibly attentive; the welcome juice, afternoon tea, and goodnight dessert were all lovely and refined. Everything was just perfect – truly a delightful surprise during our Dali trip!

YYouyoudiliuliuAn Yu is truly a gem of a hotel. With so many accommodation options in Dali Old Town, I was feeling overwhelmed until I stumbled upon it, and it immediately caught my eye. The location is excellent; though it's just a few steps from the bustling pedestrian street, it's nestled in a quiet spot away from the noise. I stayed for two nights, and it was incredibly convenient for finding food—restaurants, cafes, and snacks galore. The butler was exceptionally thoughtful. They added me on WeChat before check-in, provided important information, and confirmed transportation details. Although the room isn't huge, it's fully equipped, and the attention to detail is impressive. The bath products were Le Labo Santal 33, my favorite brand and scent. Breakfast was abundant, and afternoon tea was provided during my stay. Small snacks on the 3rd floor were also available for self-service, and in the evenings, there was sleep-aid milk or white fungus soup. While it was a bit noisy facing the street, and I could clearly hear people talking, it became much better once the windows were closed. What touched me the most was that on my last day, I had to leave for the high-speed train station at 7:30 AM, but breakfast only started at 8:00 AM. I had planned to buy some bread the night before, but the butler offered to prepare a simple meal for us. The next morning, they handed us a big bag with two boxes of sandwiches, a box of hard-boiled eggs, a box of blueberries and strawberries, and a travel mug. How incredibly thoughtful! Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I'll definitely try their hotels in other cities next time.

AAnonymous UserExceeded expectations! The room was fully equipped, comfortable, and luxurious. Staying with my whole family felt just like being at home. The hotel view is superb, with Erhai Lake right in front of you, and the massive windows offer panoramic views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake! The staff were attentive, detailed, and warm. We immediately decided to extend our stay for another night! We checked in on New Year's Eve, and we were able to watch the entire drone show and fireworks from the balcony, making for a very happy stay. The kids and seniors all loved it! Welcome fruit and goodnight desserts were all provided, and breakfast was abundant!

MMrJacksonXFirst off, the hotel's location is fantastic. It's just a short walk to Cang'er Avenue, and right outside, there are electric scooters available for rent and return via QR code – super convenient! Dali Ancient City isn't too far, but walking is out of the question. Taxis feel a bit unnecessary, so the electric scooters are perfect (they have plenty of charge and are quite zippy, so do ride safely!). The hotel's interior, especially the garden, is incredibly clean and elegant, almost giving off a Jiangnan garden vibe. Secondly, the service is genuinely excellent. From the moment we arrived (we took a taxi directly into the underground garage; the hotel doesn't have an elevator, but there's a service bell. Before we even pressed it and while unloading luggage, a female and two male staff members appeared – incredibly prompt response!). After check-in (during which they offered tea, water, and hot towels), they personally escorted us all the way to our room. Throughout our stay, whenever we went down to the lobby, whether for breakfast or heading out, the concierge and other staff would spot us from afar, stand up, greet us, and be ready to assist. While I'm sure it's due to rigorous training, honestly, their attitude didn't feel like a chore at all, which is truly commendable. One more thing I want to highlight: the female staff member who makes the rice noodles for breakfast left a particularly strong impression on me. From the moment you tell her what you want, she very earnestly and cheerfully prepares it while explaining that the broth is already salted, so you can add less yourself, and describes the characteristics of each topping. To make something so simple so professional and heartfelt, I was truly impressed! If I ever come back to Dali, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. (^.^)

AAnonymous UserStaying three nights in Haidong, I got to enjoy different views of Erhai Lake from my room every day, and I even luckily witnessed the Tyndall effect! The hotel is in a prime location in Wenbi Village. Walking uphill, there's the popular 'Dali 270-degree Seaview' cafe, and downhill, you'll find various dining options, which is very convenient. The hotel's Mediterranean design style is simple and chic, perfect for photos, especially the multiple photo spots on the rooftop – truly a design hotel! Throughout my stay, the butler provided comprehensive care, from breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening desserts to airport drop-off service. The attention to detail made me feel incredibly comfortable. Thank you 🙏

AAnonymous User1. **Check-in Area:** The check-in counter, or front desk, was quite shabby. The computer keyboard was practically caked in grime, and don't even get me started on the sofa next to it – it looked very unhygienic. 2. **Dining:** The breakfast area was a bit cramped, with just four small tables by the street. If you're a party of more than two, you'd have to sit separately, or you might even have to stand and wait for a table. The coffee, however, was good. I only had breakfast once: a cold quinoa salad (see Photo 6) served with bread that had an overpowering artificial creamer flavor. I had been looking forward to the rice noodles for the next day, but serving didn't start until 8:30 AM, which was far too late for my rumbling stomach. Early risers and those who prefer hot meals should seriously consider other options or make alternative arrangements. 3. **Room (2nd floor) - Noise Issues:** Don't even think about getting any sleep at night. After 11 PM, there was still noise along the street, along with the clanging of the garbage truck. (Seriously, I'd strongly advise against staying in the Old Town.) The next day, it started pouring before dawn, and the sound of the heavy rain kept me awake as well. 4. **Room - Facility Issues:** The room I stayed in was supposedly the quietest in the entire hotel. It featured a large bathtub and a bathroom where the toilet and shower area lacked wet/dry separation. Unable to deal with the wet floor, I decided to shower in the bathtub. That's when I discovered Problem #1: the glass partition was completely transparent, with no curtain or frosted glass. The staff member claimed this was 'design.' Then came Fatal Problem #2: the bathtub had no running water, haha! 😄 5. **Room - Odor Issues:** Upon entering, there was a strong musty smell. The staff claimed it was due to 'raw wood,' but it's been 8 years and it still smells like that? Quite amusing. 6. **Staff (Pre-Check-in):** Before I even checked in, they asked me to cancel my booking on the platform and pay them privately for a discounted rate. I have this in writing. This is definitely a huge red flag, and I'm surprised they even dared to suggest it. 7. **Staff (General):** The individuals themselves were nice enough, but I was surprised to find that all the 'Jixiashan' staff were quite young, without uniforms, and seemingly without direct supervision, which gave a very disorganized and casual impression. 8. **Housekeeping:** I was quite satisfied with the housekeeping. Seeing the clean duvet and towels gave me peace of mind (P.S. the pillows were also comfortable). The hotel's facilities are very old; no matter how clean the bathroom tiles were, they still looked run-down, compounded by the dim lighting. Therefore, I feel the housekeeping staff here really have a tough job. 9. **Building Structure:** One morning, during a heavy downpour, when I opened my 2nd-floor room door, the entrance was essentially flooded up to my heels. It was quite a feat that the water didn't spread into the room. At night, there were no lights, so I had to grope my way back to the room along the dark corridor. It would be quite difficult for someone who doesn't remember their way (see Photos 1-2). 10. **Hotel Amenities:** One night, I heard the guest next door return, unable to open their door with the key, and had to call a staff member for help. They chatted for a bit outside the door before the staff member finally told the guest a 'trick': 'The key needs to be inserted a certain way, and the lock has a particular mechanism...' That's quite a struggle – needing a special technique just to get back to your room! 11. **Minor Details:** The room key had a very large, bulky leather tag attached to it. Absolutely no consideration for travelers on long journeys with limited luggage space. Who would want to carry such a bulky thing around? I originally had high hopes for the 'Jixiashan' brand. When I was in Shangri-La, I heard their Meili store had a collaboration with Kolon, which made me think they had good taste. This Dali Ancient City location is their first store, but it turned out to be such a low standard. Given the daily rate, I guess I understand why. This particular store cannot be found on 'Jixiashan's' mini-program; it's categorized under 'Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Le'.

LLao huAmong the many guesthouses and hotels in Dali, garden-style hotels are rare. However, Muxinbao French Holiday Manor stands out as Dali's unique, meticulously crafted garden hotel. Perched at an elevated position, its flowerbeds, fountains, and tree-lined paths are thoughtfully arranged along the hillside, creating a sense of grandeur and order. It seamlessly blends artificial artistry with natural beauty: meticulously trimmed hedges, patterned flowerbeds, and tiered pathways showcase a highly refined aesthetic, while dynamic water features like canals and fountains add vitality and a lively feel. The proprietress, influenced by French and Italian culture, has meticulously crafted artistic scenes throughout the garden. Incorporating sculptures, miniature architecture, and themed flower displays, she evokes a picturesque ambiance. Drawing inspiration from Impressionistic colors and light effects, a stroll through the garden becomes an immersive artistic experience. Numerous art ornaments enhance the multi-dimensional expression of a romantic atmosphere. By integrating everyday scenes like coffee nooks, Western dining, and a misty garden, and skillfully leveraging the backdrop of Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain, the manor conveys a sense of relaxation and poetic beauty amidst interwoven seas of flowers and clouds, achieving a spiritual sanctuary that feels ”half in the clouds, half on a cliff.” The architecture of this French holiday garden exudes romance at every turn, as if transporting you into a beautiful dream, where you experience endless tenderness and beauty. Furthermore, the French-style guest rooms blend romance and elegance, offering a unique sense of comfort and coziness, akin to experiencing a dreamlike lifestyle. The entire manor, designed in a French style, expertly uses elegant colors and luxurious decorations to create a distinctive romantic atmosphere that makes you want to linger...

MM899077****A hotel that truly feels like great value for money. This trip to Erhai Lake had no fixed itinerary; I just spontaneously decided to visit Shuanglang. Since I hadn't done any research, I didn't have high expectations for the hotel. To my surprise, checking in was a delightful surprise – both the environment and the room were tasteful and very beautiful. The hotel is located within the ancient town's pedestrian area. The butler contacts guests in advance to arrange transfer services for both guests and their luggage. Upon check-in, the staff patiently explains everything about the hotel and all its amenities.

SShanyaokuijiaWe originally booked a luxury private hot spring room, but due to a circuit malfunction, we were upgraded to the presidential suite. It was very spacious, but located in an independent villa area where we were the only guests. It was a bit scary at night, as the saying goes, 'a wild boar can't appreciate fine bran' (meaning it was too grand for us, haha). The hotel's scenery is actually quite nice, and the staff are very enthusiastic. The facilities could use some improvement. Most accommodations in Dali are guesthouses, and good hotels are indeed rare. Overall, I'm still satisfied.
