Guest UserI I had another wonderful stay at art’otel Hoxton, and once again, it exceeded my expectations. The hotel was impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and the views were absolutely stunning. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore London.
What made this stay especially memorable was that I was travelling with my mum, who was visiting the UK for the first time. The team went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable and well looked after throughout our stay, and that meant so much to us.
I would like to give a special thank you to Ishrat, the Guest Experience Manager. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly kind, welcoming and attentive. She listened to our needs, checked in on us during our stay, and genuinely made us feel valued as guests. Her exceptional hospitality turned what was already a beautiful hotel into an unforgettable experience.
Every member of staff we interacted with was friendly, professional and eager to help. I truly appreciate the care and attention we received, and I’m so grateful for the wonderful memories my mum and I made during our stay.
I highly recommend art’otel Hoxton to anyone visiting London and will definitely be returning. Thank you again to Ishrat and the entire team for making our stay so special.

Guest UserI really can't help but complain about this hotel. It's not cheap, but it's incredibly hard to find. They say it's connected to The O2, but it's very far from the subway station and extremely difficult to locate, with very few signs. Also, the check-in and check-out process was the longest I've ever experienced. On top of that, the mini-bar in the room was ridiculously expensive, and they didn't specify which items were chargeable or provide prices in advance. I only drank two bottles of water and took out a biscuit but didn't touch it, and they deducted £33 from my deposit. If it weren't for the Ariana Grande concert, I wouldn't have stayed at this hotel at all. It's definitely the worst InterContinental I've ever stayed at in terms of service.
However, there were some pleasant surprises. The room facilities and the view were top-notch and worth the price. It's just the service and the location that are hard to overlook.

Guest UserMy stay started off reasonably well, but the second night turned into a very frustrating experience.
After my first night (booked via Marriott APP), I decided to extend my stay via Trip.com (which resulted in being assigned a different room), as overall the hotel seemed acceptable, though there were some minor issues in the room — for example, the faucet was loose, and the toilet made noise when sitting on it (to the point where I was slightly concerned it might not be properly secured). Breakfast was à la carte and tasted decent.
However, the second night was extremely unpleasant.
When I was about to go to sleep, I noticed black marks/stains on the bed sheets, which made me uncomfortable. I called the front desk, and was told that housekeeping had already finished for the day, so there was no one available to change the bedding and no immediate solution offered.
When I asked what could be done, I was told that clean sheets could be brought to me — which implied that I would have to change them myself. Only after I questioned this did the staff offer to move me to another room.
Shortly after, the staff came to my room and informed me that I would need to pack all my belongings and move to another room on a different floor immediately. I was also told that I could not leave my belongings in the original room. As she was the only staff member on duty, I had to handle all packing and moving myself.
This happened at around 2:00 AM.
I was genuinely shocked. Based on my past experiences with Marriott International hotels, the usual approach in such situations is to allow the guest to move to a new room to rest first, and pack belongings the next morning — especially at such a late hour.
What concerned me most was not just the inconvenience, but the response. When I tried to explain why this arrangement was unreasonable, the staff focused solely on the fact that she was the only person on duty, rather than acknowledging the impact on the guest.
The following morning at checkout, I raised this issue with the front desk. I received a rather expressionless apology, along with an explanation that she belive it was a “miscommunication.” This response felt dismissive and failed to address the core problem.
Obviously, there are issues in:
• Hotel management (only one staff member on duty overnight)
• Service policies (no proper solution when basic room issues occur)
• Staff training (lack of customer-oriented problem handling)

Guest UserOverall, it is ok, the location is also very easy to find, the environment is good, if it is a business trip, it is a good choice. With the early price, it is acceptable in the UK.

Guest UserThe Old Langan's Hotel is almost impeccable.
They restock capsule coffee and tea bags daily, and all the necessary amenities are provided. They also deliver two small bottles of milk every day.
The breakfast selection is quite extensive, and for breakfast beverages like tea or coffee, a server takes your order.
The room cleaning is also very thorough, and they even provide disposable slippers (which is uncommon in the UK).
The bathroom is large, but the bathtub is surprisingly small, making showering a bit cramped.
The room service is also very fast, and the front desk staff are very polite. The doormen actively offer to help with luggage.
The hotel is right by a subway station, and across the street at Russell Square, there are even small squirrels.
It's only a ten-minute walk to the back entrance of the British Museum.
Extremely satisfied.

WangwangjinshuiFantastic location! Plus, the room was a spacious suite. Even though the lighting wasn't the best, it did have two small windows. The welcome fruit was a nice touch, and there was even a bottle of red wine – definitely felt like a special occasion. And the breakfast was delicious too. Worth it!

Completely satisfied!!! The front desk staff speaks Chinese and is very welcoming. The hotel is near Green Park and the subway station, so it's very safe. It's convenient and beautiful. The room is small, but that's understandable since it's an old London house. It has a retro style and is fully equipped with everything. The smart toilet is also very convenient. It was very comfortable to sleep in. I'll stay here again next time I visit London.

happiest_girlIt's a very strange hotel. There are plenty of staff members, but you have to ask at least twice to get anything done. For example, during our two-night stay, we requested ice for our room three times, and only received it once, after calling reception to follow up again.
The building feels like a maze, and the rooms are clearly in need of renovation. We noticed stains on the carpets and chairs, outdated furniture, and a small, old TV. The rain showerhead was covered in limescale and didn’t work at all, the bath gel bottle was broken. On one occasion, I even received a bath towel with visible stains.
The AC wasn't working in all building, and it was 34C outside. When we reported the issue, reception told us someone would come to check whether it could be repaired, but obviously no one ever showed up. After waiting for about an hour, we went back to reception ourselves, and then they offered to move us to another room. We waited about an hour again to see it, only to find that it had no AC either.
Only after that did the manager come to apologize and offer us a fan, a cooler, and a £50 voucher to use on the premises. However, since the voucher was offered verbally and not confirmed in writing, I chose not to use it. Because I didn’t want it to affect my deposit £50 deposit, that was charged to my debit card. It’s still on hold, by the way.
On the positive side, the hotel’s location is excellent: right in central London, close to two Tube stations and Liverpool Street Station. That convenience was the main reason we booked, along with what seemed like a good offer. They also have a club lounge, but you won’t get access unless you specifically ask the concierge. On Friday night there was even a pianist playing! It’s ironic: they couldn’t provide working air conditioning and get ice to your room, yet they hired a live musician for the lounge.
Will I stay here again? Probably not. Next time, I’d rather pay more and choose a hotel with functioning AC.

Guest UserThe location is absolutely fantastic! Big Ben and the London Eye are right outside the window, making it super convenient to get anywhere. It's perfect for a city walk, and for a first-timer to the UK, staying here was a great choice. We even had a sudden spell of good weather, so after breakfast, we quickly went to snap some photos of Big Ben when there were very few people around – it made for some amazing shots!
