Reviews of The Ridge Sierra

Our friends have a timeshare here and we've stayed here several times. The last time we were here was 2 years ago. Since then, the unit was updated, new flooring, kitchen and bathroom. The location is perfect for skiing the Nevada side of Heavenly. There are both Heavenly and Ridge shuttles with stops near the property that take you to the Stagecoach lift. It's not a fancy timeshare, but is very comfortable.

This was rented to us on Airbnb by @ £385 for a one night stay. Pictures on Airbnb did not represent how bad this place was. A stinking brown, very tired ski apartment with extremely worn furniture. It wasn't worth £50 a night. We had a full refund from Airbnb. We would avoid at all costs unless you are Californian boys skiing and just want a bed for a few nights. The whole place stunk and had not been cleaned, and the beds had not been changed. Zero stars really.

The best pet place we have ever had! The lovely unit was so welcoming for us dog lovers. The adorable dog themed art was so fun. We couldn't believe that there was even a dog couch. Right outside the door is poop bags & trash. It meant so much to us to take our River with us. I stayed a second week in another unit at 299 Olympic ct. It was carpeted instead.The units are spacious & well maintained. Nice linens. Decent furniture, etc. The outside needs sanding & painted but it doesn't bother anything. We especially enjoyed our enclosed patio. I spent a lot of time out there planning my next vacation. The top of the building has a hot tub, bbq & table. It also has a lovely view of Carson valley. I got stuck, unable to get out. The operator asked another resident to come & open the heavy metal door. The next day, I saw that there was a button on the wall that released the door.Andrea was very kind & patient with me.., We enjoyed eating at the Bistro at the Tahoe Ridge. My brother enjoyed the gym. It's really beautiful & upscale over there. It would be a great tradition to come here every year. It's a great place. All I can say is that the unhappy review people did not have the units I did,

2 bedroom unit perfect for 2 couples. Roomy, 2 bathrooms, nice open dining/living area. Views were amazing of the NV Valley off the ridge. We've stayed at other "ridge" locations that had 4 stories of stairs that were brutal. This location had minimal stairs relevant to a 2nd story location. Staff was very accommodating to any of our needs. Unit does NOT have A/C. It was warm during the day (August) with only 2 floor fans to move the air through,but cooled off comfortably at night.

Virtual check in is easy just pick up the phone in reception and they guide you through it. Lovely rooms with an open fire and a balcony with views to die for. The Jacuzzi in the main bathroom was perfect after a busy day on the Lake, it the resort is about ten mins from the main area of all the restaurants, shops etc so very quite and restful just what we needed to combine a busy vacation with a retreat to relax in the evenings. We will definitely be back here we didn't want to leave!!
