Exquisite location with gorgeous views. The room had central heating which was very welcome in winter. Highly recommend the Spa - we treated ourselves to one of the personal journey packages and it was totally worth it.

We stayed here 3 nights. The hotel looks good - inkeeping with old houses in the area. A good shuttle service operated to get you get into town. Check in efficient and friendly. Nice pool. Silly little details spoilt impression - our towels were taken and not replaced, no bin in the bedroom, coffee machine broken. Breakfast was excellent

We had a great two night stay at this beautiful hotel whilst visiting the vineyards in Franschoek. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, and all aspects of the service were excellent. Shuttle bus to the wine tram was helpful, and also into the quaint town for our dinner. The second stop on our journey and we are very impressed with SA hospitality. We had one of the cottage rooms, well equipped and nicely presented. Underfloor heatingbisvavtreat. The facility to WhatsApp reception for assistance if needed was a great idea. Immediate response was so helpful. Breakfast was extensive and beautifully presented. All in all an excellent choice for accomodation whilst doing the wine tram.....you will not be disappointed, and we would definitely recommend.

My husband and I visited for part of our honeymoon. The suite was stunning and better than I expected. It was clean and well maintained. A lovely little touch was hot water bottles ready for us at bedtime. The breakfast was lovely, we both had the wild Benedict. Whilst staying here we used the shuttle to and from the town and also visited the wine tram for a day trip.

World in the mountain's Perfect location , Staff are friendly , Service from reception to housekeeping was amazing. The shuttle service is big win. Food is very good , breakfast and dinner was top class. Service and breakfast staff are friendly and helpful. Beautiful place to unwind. A place to visit twice.

This old but classic hotel still stands amounst my favorite. Slightly dated , but still classic. Staff are friendly and enthusiastic , nothing is too much for them and always will to go that extra mile for us. Dinner was perfect , Breakfast with a la Carte options is a perfect way to start you adventure into Franschhoek. Shuttles available Thank you for wonderful stay

Beautiful scenery and gardens but a very dated, poorly kept hotel…..dirty, needing panting, substandard bathrooms

Evacuated from Chamonix Wine Farm on 11 January 2026 due to nearby fires, leaving approximately 30 minutes before the house was later destroyed. Arrived at Le Franschhoek Hotel around 05:00am seeking safety and left again around 09:00am the same morning. Unit condition was disappointing: unmade beds from previous guests, rubbish left behind, no hot water, limited electricity, and no towels provided initially. Full accommodation was charged. Since 12 January 2026 I have been trying to obtain a proper invoice and the promised refund needed for insurance purposes. Over a month later this remains unresolved. Sharing this experience so future guests can make informed decisions.
