Stayed at Asara and absolutely loved it. Beautiful views surrounded by nature, spacious and comfortable rooms, and truly amazing service from the team. A very relaxing stay — would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful night in this beautiful place. We were greeted very warmly. They escorted us with our suitcases to reception, where they offered us wine. We were given a room with a stunning view of the vineyards and mountains. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend it.

A very beautiful and conveniently located winery. Excellent 5-star rooms at affordable prices. And what a beautiful view from the terrace. Absolutely stunning.

The gates open and then the paved driveway and lights takes you up to the main house. It is a truly beautiful location with stunning views. Our room was huge with an enormous terrace overlooking the pond and mountains in the distance. We had two nights so had one night in the restaurant and one night out in Stellenbosch using Uber which is very easy and cheap). The wine tasting was excellent and we had a choice of 3 whites and 2 roses which enabled us to choose which wine for dinner. The food was excellent both at dinner and at breakfast. There were smoothies, fresh bread and wonderful full English. Room service was very quick too. The pool area is very comfortable with a heated pool. The staff bring out fruit kebabs but could do more to provide water and to sell the bar provisions. Overall a wonderful experience and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

I have been fortunate, through work and holidays, to visit many countries and stay in many hotels over many years; I can honestly say that the staff at Asara were the happiest and most attentive that I have ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble for them and everything was done with a smile (not always the case in South Africa). My daughter had her wedding at this beautiful location and we stayed for 5 days along with 90 other wedding revellers. Accommodation was good, food was excellent and there were some excellent walks around the vineyards. I highly recommend this hotel.

Megan provided sterling service during our brunch on the stunning Veranda with unsurpassable views of the Stellenbosch mountains. We are eternally grateful for the blessing!

The establishment exceeded all expectations. The service was exceptional with friendly and attentive staff. The room was luxurious and comfortable with a fantastic view. Leaving was the only downside. Highly recommended for a relaxing, high-end getaway.

A Beautiful Birthday Weekend Away in the heart of Stellenbosch. The Location, friendly staff, perfect ambiance and excellent dining brings together all that you need at this 5 star hotel.

From being met at the gate by two lovely security guards, who advised reception we had arrived and given the porters our car number, who had a car space ready for us, to all members of staff who were very friendly and professional, thank you. Our Signature room 116, was excellent. Very big, doors leading onto a terrace, which overlooked the gardens. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom had a gorgeous shower, heated towel rail and ample towels. The bottle of red wine and cold water was very much appreciated. We were there for two nights and as Stellenbosch was going through extreme heatwave the air conditioning was most welcome. Just a couple of niggles was the outside doormats mats were very threadbare but as this was the end of the season would expect these to be replaced for next. There were ample power points in the room but quite outdated. It was difficult to use the hairdryer and see in a mirror. Breakfast and dinners were very good. There was a couple of mishaps at both dinners but the managers are aware of this. Yes we would stay at Asara again.

We were so shocked to arrive at what we thought would be a stunning stay on a wine estate We battled getting last minute accommodation and now understand why we got available accommodation at this venue On arrival the staff was impeccable We had to walk far to a studio apartment to get to a room that at first glance we wanted to turn around. Knowing that we battled to get accommodation we decided to first check if we could get something else The carpets are dirty and the floors are peeling paint (who paints a floor) A double bed which we battled to sleep as it is tired and need replacement Roman blinds did not cover windows completely Sun come through early and could not sleep in Pine furniture flimsy. Our room was not cleaned on the first day and did we need to ask them to please clean We were given one towel every day with two hand towels that was way past there sell buy date The only positive was that the linen at least was clean We could drive closer with our vehicle but would not suggest this if you do not kite to drive on dirt roads with a clean car
