Bob W is a completely contactless, diffused establishment with no physical reception desk and no on-site staff after certain hours. All communication must go through WhatsApp or online messaging. While the front-line support staff were initially helpful, the management's handling of issues afterwards was poor and dismissive. WhatsApp support responses often took over 20 minutes when assistance was needed. Here is a breakdown of the key issues during my stay: Confusing Check-in: The keypad instructions provided for the main door included a number followed by a hashtag (#). However, the room door did not have a #. After the code failed to open my room, I had to contact support while tired with my luggage. It turned out I was supposed to use an arrow symbol instead of a hashtag, a detail never communicated. Ignored Accessibility Requests & Unsafe Advice: Ahead of time, I requested that cutlery and crockery be placed on the worktop because I am short (5ft). Upon arrival, everything was stored high on top of a cupboard out of my reach. When a staff member finally came to move them down, she told me I wasn't that short and suggested I stand on a chair to reach them,a clear health and safety hazard. The microwave was also placed too high for a 5-foot person to use comfortably. Inoperable Gym Card: I requested gym access thrice before arriving. On my first morning, I woke up early to use the gym before exploring the city, only to find the card provided did not work. I had to walk back, report it, and wait for a replacement to use the following day. While they eventually agreed to refund a day's stay for these inconvenience, basic checks should have been done before my arrival. Faulty Electronics & Dismissive Management Response: The TV volume could not be turned up (attempting to turn it up muted the sound), and the screen froze repeatedly within minutes. I sent video proof to management. Instead of resolving it or providing an appliance manual (there were no guides for any electronics in the room), management responded post-checkout with a patronising message stating that "technology can be tricky" and offering to show me "how the controls work." In a completely unstaffed hotel with no reception, leaving clear instructions is essential. Smelly Soft Furnishings: Two blue cushions on the bed had a noticeable foul odor, so I set them aside. Management claimed post-checkout that they inspected them and found no smell, completely dismissing my report. Misleading Amenity Descriptions & Impractical Layout: The room was advertised with dishwasher tablets, yet there was no dishwasher in the studio room, only a hob, microwave, and fridge with no freezer compartment. For anyone planning to cook, the space is impractical: the table is extremely tiny, with the tea tray taking up a third of the usable surface. Unsecure Storage: The luggage storage room uses a code shared among all guests, meaning anyone staying at the property can enter the room where belongi
