"Wonderful little stop off hotel. Despite being on M6, it's far enough off road in the services that you don't hear traffic. Services have good carparking - we arrived 10pm on a Thursday night - no issues. Hotel registered our car at reception. Clean and well decorated room. Very spacious for a Travelodge (we do use a lot). Fan in room (thank you!!!) and window opens - we were on the front but no real noise which was good. Reception lovely and polite greeting us and on leaving. Services have good options for breakfast."

"I was apprehensive about the hotel after reading previous reviews, but in some ways I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. I will start with the positives. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were here to attend a wedding at The Ashes in Endon, and this hotel was much more affordable than other, closer hotels and it was only a £10 taxi ride away. The hotel is facing Stoke train station and transport links are good. There is an iron and a hairdryer in the room. Now the negatives. The service we received upon arrival was awful. The lady who checked us in gave us no information or direction and we were made to feel like an inconvenience to her. I would rank her service amongst the worst I have ever received at a hotel. The frustrating thing here is that there were another two women at the reception who helped us over the next couple of days whose service was actually very good, and it is a shame their reputation is let down by one individual. We were staying on the first floor and the wifi did not reach here. Also, the shower flooded the bathroom whenever it was used, and this was unavoidable."

"Duncan and alison both discriminated against myself but I carnt go into details on here about that at the minute as the case is currently with solicitors to sue this travel lodge however if you are disabled & autistic then you are much better to stay clear of this hotel because of duncan and alison. They had a severe impact on my mental health and also my situation/life as a whole. The location is great rooms were an ok size but not much storage in them. I was placed here by the Council due to being homeless so the storage would be ok for someone staying a short stay. I stayed from the end of december up until the middle of jan. I am a disabled young women with multiple health issues. The downside to this hotel is there is no laudrette nearby within walking distance but there is a taco bell, kfc, burger king also home bargains on the same retail park. There is a vending machine in the reception which is expensive but does drinks and chocolate. The room when I first arrived was clean and bedding was clean. Their isnt an actual plug socket next to the bed but is usb ports so you can still charge your phone/laptop however it charges extremely slow so you are better of taking an extention lead with you about a 4m length to be able to charge your phone or laptop if you want to use it at the same time as it charging. Jasmine the lady on reception was kind caring helpful and all round a credit to travelodge. Nothing was to much trouble for her and I had spoken to her alot. She was so supportive and understanding. I stayed with my cat penny who loved jasmine too. I had spent hours just chatting to her and she really did make my situation 100x better. She didnt have to spend the time she did with me as shes a receptionist at the hotel but she did. There was times where I would of quite easily ended up in an even worse state mentally had it not have been for jasmine's support. I am autistic too which makes things difficult and jasmine did seem to understand my autism and troubles with my physical health too. Honestly I really hope she moves onto a company who actually cares for its customers/staff as she really deserves a better company than the travel lodge Central stafford if that is what she wants to go. She will go far in life with her attitude care and attention that she provides to the people staying at the travel lodge. Charlie on reception i didnt really speak to much (mainly on nights) however he was pleasant and polite whenever I did speak to him and if I needed anything he would always help no matter what time of night it was. YanLi I didnt really speak to much but she seemed to be pleasant and polite and again was helpful whenever I needed something. Mark I found ok polite and helpful at first however his attitude changed a few weeks into my stay despite me not doing anything wrong and he made me feel extremely uncomfortable with how his attitude changed. "Stayed here for two nights a few weeks ago. The location was good for our needs and the staff were friendly. However, the room was a complete letdown. The room had marks all over the walls, the window latch was broken, boards falling down outside window, bath had no sealant around it (this was done whilst we were out the room during the day, but not properly), soap dispenser was filthy and there was mould and grime under the sink. It felt like Travelodge hadn’t had this hotel long and there is definitely a lot of upgrades and work needed to reach standard Travelodge levels. Very disappointed with this stay and would not recommend."

"I stayed near Stafford Showground for work, and the hotel was about 40 minutes away because the route required going around the motorway, which was very inconvenient. The hotel reception gave us vouchers for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and told us they could be used everywhere in the service area. However, when we tried to use them, almost none of the places accepted them. The only place that accepted the voucher was McDonald’s. This was very disappointing and misleading information from the hotel staff. The location and food voucher situation made the stay much more difficult than expected."

"Me and my boyfriend stayed here as everywhere was fully booked (bank holiday weekend) we needed somewhere to stay as we were visiting places nearby. On arrival check in was fine. We then came to the realisation the window doesn't open in the bedroom, we asked for a key to open it but they don't open, a lady (didn't get name) who was great offered us a fan and delivered it to the room for us, this did help but would have been great if the window opened. The bar was like a ghost town, absolutely no one in there, we got 2 drinks and it costed us £25😳beds are a bit uncomfy also. The whole place does stink of like fresh paint. But all in all it's great for a nights stay, can't really complain massively. All staff were really nice."
