Strahan Wilderness Lodge

Wilderness Lodge was a comfortable stay , and had everything we needed . The location was great about 3 min dve from Strhan Centre and had a fabulous view over the harbour and looking out over towards the misty mountains . There was a lovely large garden with lots of sitting areas to take in that fabulous and peaceful view. Our room was very clean and comfortable if somewhat dated with its own small balcony . The bathroom was very small and not that functional due to the small space. There was a main lounge area and kitchen for guests to prepare their own food if they wished and this was very well stocked with kitchen utensils , fridge etc. there was a basic bfast offered for $5 if needed . The lodge was a good option in Strhan where finding suitable accomodation can be challenging.

We stayed in the Harbour Suite for three nights. The location is amazing for a start. The grounds big with chance to sit outside and take in the views and walk through the garden. Beautiful views of the harbour from your window or balcony. The suite had everything and more for your stay. Plenty of towels, everything you need to cook with. The house also has a communal kitchen and dining area so if you want to cook outside of your room, then say no more. They also have a BBQ area outside with a firepit. The hosts were great. This was definitely more 5 stars for us and way better than air bnbs. We would love to come back here again in the future. Thank you so much!

Short drive out of Strahan (max 5 minutes) Unique older style building with clean & comfortable guest rooms. Ours had an ensuite with a great shower. There is a shared lounge & kitchen facility that is really well equipped. The real highlight are the grounds & the view over the harbour. John & Desma were also great hosts

Fantastic place to stay in a very comfortable B & B. A well equipped kitchen to make some breakfast and a lovely lounge area to sit and read if you can drag your eyes away from the view. A log fire was lit in the garden each night to gather and chat, and John, our host, was very welcoming. It is a little out of town in terms of accessing restaurants, etc, but it is very worth it with for the walks starting in the garden.

The Strahan Wilderness Lodge is a lovely BnB. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room as well a kitchen facilities close to the rooms. You can also purchase breakfast for a reasonable fee. The grounds are beautiful and there are multiple places to sit and enjoy the views or cook a BBQ It is very well priced and I would definitely recommend

A most enjoyable visit. Desma and John are wonderful hosts. The room is beautifully appointed. The option to prepare your own breakfast in the kitchen/dining/ lounge area, or the $5.00pp Continental breakfast. Very good value for the quality of accommodation and facilities that provided.
