Strahan Beach Tourist Park

The best thing about the camp was the facilities which were kept very clean by the staff. A laundry wash was $5 and $1 for 7 mins in the dryer, which only took $3 to dry sheets and towels etc, so that was pretty good. The not so good…. We were there for three nights at the end of May so there was a fair bit of rain so unfortunately the ground conditions were extremely boggy throughout the camp including on the roads, with lots of standing water and mud everywhere. We refused the first site we were offered as it was just grass and way too waterlogged. We ended up with one opposite the office which was somewhat better. If it had been busy and we couldn’t move site then that would definitely have been a problem. The main disappointment was the inability to speak to anyone once we were there. The office was never staffed, the mobile phone number listed on the office door was never switched on and texts were also left unresponded to.

A very pleasant two night stay, even in bad weather! Walking distance of the wharf area and little shopping centre. Good facilities and not that busy at this time of year. Easy check in and spacious sites. Just across the road is a takeaway and bottle store. Plenty of cabins available although we had a powered site.

Booked and paid for by ***********. Wendy from the property then contacted me and said that the payment from *********** didn't process and asked for me to pay over the phone which I did. The original Payment went through as well as the additional payment requested by Wendy. Have contacted the property multiple times to refund my payment as I have paid twice. No, refund, no contact. Will never stay there again.

A one night stay with no complaints whatsoever. Friendly, clean, peaceful. Would stay again.

We stayed in one of the weatherboard huts. It became apparent that these were built long ago and consequently have poor locations for power points and very poor temperature control due to lack of adequate wall and ceiling insulation. For the price charged they are a very poor deal. Consequently, we shortened our stay here and moved to the motel not far away - and it was excellent.

Lovely caravan park close to beach, nice and neat cabins. Fair walk to town.

Friendly very helpful staff. Manager was great.Very clean amenities. Close to township and a great place to stay. Loved the atmosphere and the camp kitchen was always spotless Totally recommend.

Booked 6 weeks ahead to ensure no problems for our 4 night stay ... hahaha! arrived to find we had been allocated PS33 for a 20' van. this site was barely suitable for a whizz banger! it was a patch of dirt with a public access footpath running diagonally across it, and wedged into a corner. The park was fully booked. thank goodness the young woman at the office used some out of the box thinking and we are now camped next to reception. Mind you, sharing a water hose with our neighbours, but beggars can't be choosers here in Strahan! Good new toilet and shower blocks, laundry is hunger games when the sun is shining. 3 stars out of 5

It is really nice when you have a smiling face and welcoming greeting after travelling. None of which we had. The office was never manned. We had to find our own way to our site via an email and then work our way around the park to find out where facilities were. Note on the door said they had plenty of coin for Washing machines but nobody in the office to dish them out. We had to ring a mobile number and wait for 2 hours for a staff member to help us. Twice we left a message on The mobile phone to get assistance and my message was never replied. Mud and puddles everywhere and showers that were clean and new but had to keep doors open (in the cold) to stop steaming up. Very poor service ….actually none at all. Do not recommend.
