Positives The hotel is in an excellent situation right opposite the Gare. Strasbourg is a very beautiful city, everything was within easy walking distance, including the Christmas markets. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Negatives We had paid for a superior room and expected something a bit special. The en-suite had a newly installed shower, toilet and washbasin but the rest of the room had been ignored. Rusty pipes, chipped paint etc. The toilet roll spent more time on the floor than it did on the badly fixed holder. The bedroom carpet was very thin and badly wrinkled - a trip hazard! The glass door of the wardrobe had a long crack covered over with tape. Breakfast not great for gluten free, despite the hotel assuring us twice, before arrival, that they could cater. We asked for boiled egg and was told the boiler was broken!

Situated very close to the railway station in a good area. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Good view from the room. Bed comfortable. Although we paid for a superior room, it was very disappointing. There was a new shower, wash basin and toilet but there were brown water stains on the ceiling above. The rest of the room was in dire need of renovation. All the paintwork was chipped or very badly painted. The wardrobe mirror door had a large crack which was covered over with sticky tape. The carpet was old, thin and uneven. A trip hazard. The hotel was informed in advance that one of the party was gluten free. We stayed 4 nights bed and breakfast. Bread rolls were provided for 3 mornings but we were told there were none on the other morning, nor was there any fruit salad. The bread problem was remedied when the receptionist had ‘a word’ with the waitress but there was no fruit salad that day. The website showed boiled egg but this didn’t materialise until the second day after we spoke to the receptionist again.

Please understand before you stay here: there is no staff here. You get your key thru kiosk inside. There is no one to call or speak to if anything goes wrong. Very confusing to check in; I was lucky a lady at bar next door knew how to. And the coup de gras, no air conditioning in hotel. Only was to make it thru night was keeping window open to noisy street (really an alley) below. Beware!

Do not get room 204. You need to go sideways past the bed, then you still hit the tv hanging from the wall..It takes a miracle to get to bathroom sink.When you sit on the toilet you hit your knees on the wall. Stained carpet in hallway .Mold and dirt in shower

Convenient-Very close to train station. Walkable to other areas

I would recommend the hotel for a short stay for a business or family trip. It is perfectly located, near Central Railway station, which is a perfect option if you arrive late or check out early (Lufthansa bus stop is exactly at 50m). Quite small rooms, but with comfortable bed. Nothing to say about the breakfast, as I preferred to have a coffee and croissant in the boulangeries that are many around and "corrupt" you with their incredible aroma (no chances to diet in Strasbourg). And, yes, there is no noise, despite location.

This is my first time writing a bad review. We didn’t had any trouble anywhere in Alsace region or France, but in this hotel, the receptionist are terrible its like you’re doing them a favor when you do a check in, they tried to charge us double after we already payed. I understand if it’s only one person in bad mood but all 3 receptionists are bad, very very unprofessional and unpleasant people (specially the blond woman who honestly did nothing to help us). They left the room dirty with towels and bed sheets on the floor. Honestly the room was cleaner when we left than when we arrived. They refused to see the room and said they will only can have us clean towels. After they told me to write the hotel director to ask for a free breakfast (I’m sorry free breakfast is not a solution, we already had breakfast included btw) then they said “sorry we can’t give you free breakfast… “ honestly it’s like a joke, anywhere there are worst places to stay but you can find better offers than this place.
