Terrible terrible terrible !! We were there for three nights On check in informed/showed the staff that there was mold/ cobweb in the fridge / carpet was filthy/ night stand had dust/ bathroom had hair in the bath tub. Nothing was addressed despite a note to look into our issues remained on the counter for three days. All the room occupants had issues. We had prepaid so there was nothing we could do.They should refund our money back. No staff at reception at check in or check out.

My mother and I recently stayed for two nights at the Strasburg Village Inn. If you are just looking for a room, with off street parking, breakfast, that is conveniently centralized to many attractions. Then this would be a decent alternative. However, if you love going to B&B's for the tantalizing home cooked breakfast (the kind where you just need to have that recipe), that warm homey welcoming feel (like you're visiting family), the relaxing comfortable environment (that makes you want to stay and never leave), and the friendly get to know you conversations. This is definitely not the place for you. Where to begin? I do not believe the carpet has ever been properly cleaned. It is mostly dirty, stained, ripped, and taped down in different areas. In our room I was concerned the windows would fall out if touched because the window frames were cracked all the way around. The room I reserved was advertised with a queen bed, we definitely did not have a queen but rather a full sized bed. Which is not very roomy or comfortable for two adults. The bed was elevated pretty high without a step stool so that made it difficult for my mother to get on and off the bed. Also, this was by far the hardest and most uncomfortable mattress we have ever experienced. The floor would have been more comfortable but that was too dirty and sticky in some areas. I never even removed my socks in the room because of that fact. The wallpaper in the bathroom looked like it was ready to fall off at any moment. It was bubbled, warped, and lifting off the wall. The breakfast is mediocre at best. It was no thrills and very basic. The breakfast hour is from 8-9am, I guess most people like to get up early on their vacation? I don't, especially since it was difficult to sleep the entire night on the hard mattress. On the second morning I believe they deep fried the potatoes and sausage links. Let's just say my mother and I were sick to our stomachs a good portion of the day after we ate. The coffee was ok and the orange juice was room temperature. The breakfast dessert was the only tasty part of breakfast, but there was not enough for seconds. On the second night we returned back to our room later in the evening. Our toilet paper was running low (very low) so I looked for a new roll in the cabinet, there was only an empty toilet paper roll that someone covered in decorative duct tape (craft project?). There were no extra rolls! Since it was late there was no one to ask for another roll, so two women had to make that almost empty roll last until the morning. You get one room key that also works on the outside door to get back in the building. This is a universal key, since the key works on your room and the front door, this means everyone has the same key! The room door has three locks and we couldn't figure out why so many locks. Until another guest tried to get in our room while we were in it. That's when I realized we all have the same key and if we were not in our room, t

Nothing like the picture of room #4 on line no blinds on the windows only shades with holes. No bedspread only a clean old green blanket. Sheets were clean but worn. Only chair in the room was a rocker that sound like it was going to fall apart when you sat on it. The bathroom door did not close and floor needed to be clean. We had a street view but the windows to look out were dirty. Breakfast on Saturday look wonderful on the dish but was served cold. Air condition hummed. It was a step down from our last visit there. Needless to say we won't go back.

Loved the area! We stayed in the queen room with the balcony. It was comfortable. The furniture was nice and era appropriate. The linens were fine but worn. We enjoyed our stay but the room is in dire need of repairs, window cleaning, new flooring and a deep cleaning. We only saw cafe staff while we were there. The breakfast and downstairs Cafe area was very nice.

So disappointed with our stay at Strasburg Village Inn. We stayed in Room 11 a deluxe king bed suite. The linen on the king size bed was soiled and had a sour odor to it. Pillows smelled like oily hair. We could find no one to inquire about the issues. Towels and washcloths were delivered while we were out...1 wash cloth for 3 people...really? Again no one to ask for more. The bath mat had a worn tear it. The room had a dirty ear swap on the floor and the fridge was sticky. The pull out bed was ok for one person, but the mattresses was worn and you rolled to the center. The common room had a jug of warm water for beverage and no ice. The desk had no one at it except when you check in. We did not have breakfast because it wasn't until 9:00 am and we had other travel plans. We departed early Sunday morning and left a note of our concerns with no response from the inn...so very sad and apparently they did not feel a response was necessary. The area was lovely, not the inn.

I can't say that we had a bad experience. It just wasn't great. When we walked into the room, the first thing that I saw was the pealing wallpaper in the open closet. It would have taken 5 minutes to fix that. Wallpaper was also starting to peal in other spots, too. It wasn't the best first impression. The room was adequately clean, but not exceptionally so. The bathmat was not clean and there was plenty of dust in the room and a lot of dirt on the stairs going up to the room. The breakfast was okay but tasted more like cafeteria food. The bed was very comfy. That was good! All in all, I feel like the price of the room did not match the quality one would expect in these areas. Pay attention to details and improve the food quality and you will have a nice inn.

I can't say enough good things about this Bed and Breakfast. Tammy was the perfect hostess; her work ethic and PR is incredible!! The young man who was assisting with meals was attentive and very respectful. We definitely hope to visit again. Experience here was AMAZING!! Highly recommend!!

My family (2 adults and 2 small children) enjoyed our stay for a long weekend. The room (#11 I think) was perfect for our family as it had a separate bedroom and also sitting area with pull out sofa bed. The room was clean and comfortable. Tammy was great and so accommodating. My kids loved coming down for breakfast in the morning. If we make another trip out to the Strasburg area we would definitely consider staying here again.

The good. Tammy, the all in one jack of all trades, keeper of the Inn and 100% on call person made our trip. She is SUPER and as someone with 25+ years of managerial and customer experience, that's where I'd put her. The bad. Next to zero outdoor space to enjoy an adult beverage. The front porch only. Very skinny. Room for 3 and 2. Not together. The ugly. The so called manager of the property should have nothing to do with the public. Having checked into the Inn (see Tammy above) we decided to grab a table out back and have a beverage. So called manager told us (4 adults, 50-60) that we could not drink there. 'They were a Creamery, not a brewery.' OK, asked if we could sit on the front porch. 'No.' How about in the public room upstairs? 'No.' 'Not in the public room. Not in your room. No where on the property.' $50,000 fine. When I found this out, I went to speak to him. See Tammy above. Told her what was said and told her that I wanted to speak with him. She came back and said he told her he did not know we were staying there. Really? How did we know about the front porch, the common room, etc.? He wouldn't even come and speak to me. Called and left a message to speak with the owner. That's been 48+ hours and waiting.
