"A really beautiful place to stay. From the moment you walk in you know you’re in a very special place . I had been travelling and had had a long day.I greeted warmly then shown to my room. It was really lovely but it had a shower not a bath. I asked if I could possibly change to a room with a bath and the young man could not have been more helpful. Within minutes I was In a room with a beautiful roll top bath. Beautifully decorated and gorgeous bd liven I slept like a baby! I will definitely be coming back soon. Many thanks."

"We stayed here for one night in room 6 overlooking car park entrance area. Really well thought out rooms with themed decor, very clean and lovely bedding. We ate and drank in the basic but cool bar restaurant area, the staff seem very proficient and friendly, loved our stay and will return.The parking was well managed and full marks to the staff who stood out in freezing conditions."

The private room opening on to gorgeous garden, the beautiful table setting but best of all the incredible food, and the service from Richard and Tom exceeded our expectations. "It is an old building, very nice, helpful and friendly staff, food was good, service was nice. The building is in need of modernization but the people who run it, only acquired it recently and are doing the necessary work."

"Overall really disappointed in the stay. The room wasn't particularly clean - generally dusty with cobwebs across the ceiling, carpet grubby, bath had a tide mark around it and was full of black bits. Just needed a good clean. On site Chinese restaurant service was poor. We ordered and were then told that it was c45 minutes wait for food, but they would come and find us. When we returned, the desk was surrounded by disgruntled customers waiting for food - 12 people in all - as it turns out our food was ready, but we had not been told, so was a little cold when we were given it. Not a great experience. Self service continental breakfast was ok, but we found the milk out of date, the fridge that contained it was also grubby, and there was only one glass to drink our juice from. As it was unmanned, we just drank it from coffee cups. Great location for what we needed and promised much but ultimately failed to deliver. Not a disaster by any means, but could've been so much better."

"Booked this as a quiet two night stay for our anniversary. A very quiet and peaceful place to stay. The gentleman who runs it is a delight. Very friendly and helpful and cooks a mean fry up with fresh ingredients. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quite peaceful stay"

"Great little B&B. Lovely welcome, very accommodating. Place was spotless. Room has a HUGE bed, which was so comfortable. Breakfast was enormous, you certainly wouldn’t be hungry by the time you’d tucked into it. The room was well equipped with a hairdryer, seating, vanity mirror with magnifier, fridge for your beer and plenty of tea and coffee. Very convenient for town and free parking. All in all what a great discovery 😊"

"This hotel is in a quiet English village. The exterior wall of the hotel is beautiful; the room is not very big but very typical English style. The hotel is small but the equipment and preparations in the room are quite complete. The bed is quite comfortable; Breakfast is booked the day before, breakfast is very delicious, especially coffee and tea are very delicious; the restaurant is also very British country style, this restaurant should be quite famous in the village, there are many people eating at night; the downside is that the bathroom is not very convenient."
