📍 51 High St, Street

"The only hotel in the town, do as the locals do, and most of the people there are foreigners."

📍 High St, Street

"It is similar to our domestic homestay. But the facilities are average because it is in the village."

Wessex Hotel ★★★

📍 15 High St, Street

"We came over from the states for the summer solstice in Glastonbury, we needed a place that could room 6 of us The Wessex hotel was the place. Upon arrival we were greeted by a wonderful staff member who checked us in to our family and triple room. The rooms were super clean and welcoming, the beds were comfortable and clean, tea and coffee and a wonderful book about Somerset. All along the corridors were photos of the area, this was a wonderful feature. The staff members on the front desk were helping with directions to the bus stop so we could get to Glastonbury. Nothing was trouble for the staff members, as it was the middle of summer fans were provided on request. The hotel is in a wonderful location, everything is close by. The staff here do a fantastic job making the place look amazing and clean. Breakfast was amazing and even provided kids serving for my 3, 5 and 9 year. Breakfast staff all served with a smile and wonderful service. Definitely will be staying here again. Affordable and friendly welcoming staff!!"

The Market House

The Market House ★★★

📍 12-14 Magdaline Street, Glastonbury

"Stayed in one of the rooms for two nights for my 37th birthday with my partner. Was a lovely time. Good staff, venue and food. Room was not bad at all and ended up with one of the ones with a nice view of the Glastonbury Tor. Sadly the Glastonbury information center is being worked on but there was virtually no noise from that. Was also a good location to base from as it is in the center of town between the high street, natural water springs and the abbey ruins. Would happily stay there again and recommend others."

The Ancient Gatehouse & Rugantino Restaurant

The Ancient Gatehouse & Rugantino Restaurant ★★★

📍 20 Sadler St, Wells

"I loved the surroundings of this hotel. It's a truly medieval setting. There's a monastery right outside the entrance, which you can visit and is truly spectacular. There's also a castle-like ancient building surrounded by a moat with swans. The stairs to the rooms are quite interesting. Breakfast is made to order and is delicious. It includes bread, sausage, and scrambled eggs, as well as bacon and black pudding. Parking is available right outside the entrance. We arrived at 9 PM and left at 10:00 AM the next day. There was no charge for this time. If I were to visit Wells again, I would choose this hotel again. Thank you for your warm hospitality! It made you feel right at home."

Premier Inn Glastonbury
8.1 (56 reviews)

Premier Inn Glastonbury ★★★

📍 Morland Rd, Glastonbury

"Car park half fenced off. Limited parking. Paid £15 for earlier check-in (11am) Automated process wouldn’t work till normal check-in time (3pm). As encouraged in email, we checked in using app. Got QR code on App promising I could just flash it at the machine and I’d get my room card. When I tried, messsagr on automated check in device said ‘check in from 3pm - talk to team member’. No team members on site. Pressed button ‘ for team member’ which elicited no response. When harassed team member eventually turned up she dealt with maintenance person for some time, involving an alarm servicing issue and we were still left unacknowledged loitering in reception. When she got around to dealing with us she was friendly and helpful but struggled with system to find our bookings. Rooms fine, nice air-con. Could do with fridge. Looks like Premier Inn automating to get rid of as many staff as they can, without due regard to customer experience and staff well being. Check-in device needs to cope with early check-in without intervention from non-existing team members. Disappointing. Rooms seem to be more expensive too."

"The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly! There is no air conditioning so it may be hot in the summer, but it cools down at night so opening the window was just right. The breakfast was also plentiful and delicious. There is also an outlet near this facility, which I found very convenient."

"Stayed here with my mum as part of a GB Tours coach trip, the staff were all lovely and doing their absolute best despite the weather being hot. Unfortunately I was unable to open the window in our room but I'm not sure it would have helped cool it down much as the outside temperature was in the 30s but reception were able to provide a fan. I did suggest that they need to invest in some aircon, at least in the communal areas. The toilets are separate in this hotel which is a little quirky. I found the shower adequate but my mum was unable to use it due to a safety concern of there not being any handrails on the wall, which again I raised with a member of staff. The food was good with plenty of choices however we didn't fancy any of the main course choices on our second night but they were happy to make us both cheese omelettes which came with lots of salad and vegetables on the side and the coffee was lovely, only reason we didn't drink more of it was because of the heatwave. Bar prices were reasonable too. Didn't sleep particularly well but this was purely down to our trip happening during some exceptionally warm temperatures. A few touches here and there would make this a great value hotel and I would certainly consider staying here again if I was visiting Somerset"

"The hotel, rooms, beds and staff were excellent. The onsite Brewers Fayre..an absolute nightmare, burnt food, undercooked chicken wings, burgers cremated so much that the edges crunched trying to cut through them. Gammon steak I only ate 1 mouthful as it was so salty it was beyond belief, floppy slab of fatty, grey, salient piece of meat I've ever been served. £82 of absolutely disgusting 'food'. Have eaten at many other Brewers Fayres and has always been good to excellent but this was disgraceful."
