Best Five Star Hotels in Stresa

Por segunda vez volvimos a este hotel que nunca decepciona aunque deben mejorar la forma en que exponen las ofertas. Al llegar al hotel pedí que quería tener la oferta relax total que figuraba en la pagina web. En la mima décia desde 1399 Euros por lo que di oor obvio que ese era el precio para 3 días ( publicidad engañosa, sin necesidad.). Pensando que este era el precio me dijeron en el chek in que no podían generarlo ellos, debía subir al Spa para arreglar con la persona de ahí. Subo al Spa antes de hacer chek in; y le muestro a la persona la oferta a lo que me dice que si la podemos tomar. Me dice que lo debo arreglar en el chek in. Bajo a chek in y hago la gestión por el programa Relax Total. Después de un buen rato me dicen que esta ok y les pido para pagar toda la estadía. Siempre hago de esta forma. Cuando voy a pagar cada habitación ( eran 2); me dicen que el total de ese programa eran 1799 Euros en vez de 1399 Euros. Les reclamo que en el Spa había mostrado la oferta y que me habían dicho que estaba ok pero me dicen que esa tarifa es para otros meses, no el que estaba en curso. Yo ya le había dicho a mis acompañantes que tomaríamos ese programa. Estaban todos ilusionados. Pero al enterarme que valía 400 Euros más de lo que decía en la página inicial tuve que cancelar. Pedí para hablar con el Gerente y este me dijo que no iba a hacer nada; no siquiera una atención por haberse equivocado cuando subí al Spa ( que ellos me mandaron) y le mostré el programa a la chica, la que me dio el ok. Un Gerente que no sabe tratar a un cliente. Yo tengo empresa y si me pasa eso busco una solución. Ellos alegaron que si yo ponía la fecha me arrojaba el precio que decían ellos. Cosa que era verdad. Pero entonces , porque me hicieron ir al Spa para arreglar la oferta? Y si la chica me dio el ok cuando le mostré el precio y el programa; no deberían haber aido flexibles ? Que necesidad tiene el hotel de hacer publicidad engañosa ? La verdad que el hotel es espectacular. No tengo nada que decir respecto a sus habitaciones, las piscinas , el Spa etc. Todo es de primera. La cena que tuvimos ahí no me gustó. Cara y porciones muy pequeñas. El resto todo de primera. Aconsejo que cambien la forma de promover estas ofertas Igualmente recomiendo el hotel.

I saw this villa in a photo and knew I needed to see it for myself and it did not disappoint. Located just North of Milian overlooking Lake Maggiore it was just breathtaking. The gardens upon arrival were stunning. The old-world exterior is very well-kept and allows you to take a historical trip back in time. Receiving Staff – When I arrived the staff was so warm and inviting. I like that they did have young adults at the front desk. They were super excited to have me and very knowledgeable. Everything I thought I might want they were there to make the arrangements. From a private boat service to dinner with the GM that gave me an amazing culinary experience to included true interaction with the head chef and kitchen staff. My every wish was their command. Room Configuration – My room blew me away. It just happened to be in my favorite color pallet lavender. Large room with a beautiful balcony facing the amazing Lake Maggiore. The bathroom was so spacious with a jacuzzi tub which I took advantage of and a large sitting area. Turndown Service – This was the standard service with the pillow removal and robes and slippers with bedside towel and water and sweet treat. Breakfast – This was an experience in itself. The food was so fresh you could really appreciate the pure taste of each item. The was such a large variety of things to choose from. I could have spent half of my day there dining. Seated on the outside terrace again overlooking Lake Maggiore and the stunning gardens make for a quaint esthetic. Hotel Location – I initially was intimidated about how to get to this property. After speaking to the concierge and they provided several options I decided to go with a private car service. This allowed us to see several of the sights along the way. When I left, however, I did decide to try the train service back to Milan. It was very simple the train station was only 1 min from the hotel and the train ride was 1hr and the cost was 14 Euro. Breakfast is too good! The train station walks 300 meters. Opposite the lake can take a boat. Bathroom accessories are exquisite! Staff is very friendly and introduces many attractions! The lake room is great

Excellent position

We had a triple corner room (with 2 balconies) which was very spacious compared to other hotels we've stayed in,bathroom had a bath and separate walk in shower. Staff all very helpful and friendly with good English. Ample selection at buffet breakfast, continental and bacon and scrambled egg available. Very clean in all areas. Great location, across from the lake, near the ferry station, lots of restaurants and little shops nearby. Double glazing kept the room quiet from street sounds. Others have commented on lack of soundproofing but we had no problem, once or twice heard next doors shower running but only when in our bathroom. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if I return to Lago Maggiore. We were in room 104, in the Stresa part of the hotel.

We stayed 6 nights this August at the Astoria, it was an average stay. The positives, the view from our hotel room was to die for, the breakfast, pool and porters staff were super helpful and friendly, plenty of hanging and cupboard space for clothes, location excellent. We paid over £260 per night for our room. Negatives, the room and bathroom were too small, the toilet was behind the door so you had to walk in, close the door so to get to the toilet. A bit difficult during the night as didn't want to wake husband by putting the light on. There was no room to rest you toilet bag or toiletries in the bathroom. The walls were very so could hear next doors every move, cough, sneeze, toilet flush, baby crying the last 2 nights etc. Rooms could do with an update as dated and carpets a clean. Reception staff pleasant apart from check out. We got our invoice, asked a question, no eye contact what's so ever. Not very helpful man, we paid, said thank you and no acknowledgement AT ALL in fact wasn't interested at all. Thought he was an owner but was told he was an employee. Not good for the company! Let the reception desk down big time. We won't be staying there again. Would rather pay more and stay at the one next door or even further down as they also had entertainment in the evening but not the Astoria. The staff (except this man at reception) made our stay.

Great location on the water, lovely grounds, there is some splendour and grandeur and even a surprise sideways elevator here - which is a trip! We booked a reasonably priced comfort room for two, which turned out to be in the conference area waay in the back of the hotel - known here as ”mountain view” - which on the second floor means a view of some brush and unkempt grounds. Room was clean, but very dated and cluttered with massive furniture, and really needing a reno and basic hotel mod cons like sufficient USB and electrical plugs. Wifi is capped and so-so. Even the pillows seemed deflated. And there was some kind of unnamable pervasive floral scent that had us airing the room out the whole time we were there. I woke up in the night to find great huge centipede on the wall. Yeah. The breakfast was good and on par with what you'd expect in a big hotel. There's a nice big outdoor pool but we didn't try it. The hotel parking is ”self” and unattended but ample and easy, especially for Italy. Staff was attentive and helpful, but somehow lacking. We had a messy cleaning cart parked right in front of our room the entire stay, and some common areas and stations inside and outside seemed understaffed and abandoned. Which makes the 5 percent service charge they quietly tack onto your bill at check out really a stretch. Just ask if it's mandatory and you will find it is optional. Maybe the hotel is still suffering the lingering effects of the covid downturn. And maybe the main part of the hotel is in much better spirits. I really wanted to like the Bristol. I really wanted to happily pay the service charge. This stay left me wishing I had seen the Grand Hotel Bristol in better days - it must have been really something.

Ho trascorso alcuni giorni in questo hotel con la mia famiglia, restando subito colpita dalla bellezza dell’ambiente, per gli ampi spazi molto curati sia all’esterno che all’interno: ci ha accolto un giardino con un prato verde e rigogliosi alberi fioriti, e ci è venuto incontro personale gentilissimo che ci ha portato i bagagli in camera e ci ha indicato il parcheggio dell’hotel. All’interno, bei salotti arredati con eleganza e guarniti con piante e fiori freschi, e una sala da pranzo piena di luce grazie alle pareti tutte a vetro, affacciate sul giardino. All’ultimo piano, una grande terrazza da cui si gode la splendida vista del lago e delle sue isole. Sul dietro c’è una bella piscina che in primavera non è ancora fruibile ma che d’estate sicuramente offre un piacevole refrigerio. Ci siamo sentiti coccolati e abbiamo trovato disponibilità anche da parte del personale di sala (abbiamo usufruito del trattamento di mezza pensione) pronto a venire incontro alle esigenze dei miei nipotini di uno e cinque anni. La posizione dell’hotel è ottima, vicina al centro e al lungolago, e in particolare a due passi dalla partenza dei traghetti per le isole. Insomma, consigliatissimo!!!!

he room was clean and seemed recently renovated, the air conditioning worked well, breakfast service was efficient and all staff were friendly and spoke a variety of languages, specifically French and English, but I think I also heard them speaking German. We booked the restaurant Al Storno, which is run by the hotel as a separate restaurant and it was very good - highly recommended. Disliked · The bathroom fixtures were in need of renovation, specifically the shower cubicle frame had corrosion around the metal joints and didn't easily close or open, and the wall fixtures for the shower head and hairdryer were poorly finished - lack of attention to detail. Some of the light switches in the room didn't work, but this wasn't an issue for us tbh.
