The Penn Stroud, Stroudsburg - Poconos, Ascend Hotel Collection

Beds were comfortable, sink/shower water pressure was good, quiet location. There was a note that said to use the thermostat on the wall but it didn't work and woke up to a very cold room - it was actually the thermostat on the heater that worked. Complimentary water is provided in the lobby. Parking lot only had one spot left when we got there.

Lots of food in the local area. Not too far from the DWG National Recreation Area. Good for bigger kids. Clean and comfortable beds.

The noise from the streets at night was extremely loud. The breakfast area was so far from the elevators. The lobby was not inviting

Had to leave a day early because of the weather. Was charged for 3 nights. And only stayed for 1. Because of this i cannot recommend.

The room was nice as well as the hotel. I would say the only issue I had was when I needed assistance there was no-one available to assist me. I would have to call an number and wait for them to come and assist.

The staff was incredibly nice and the property was clean, however, the bed was the most uncomfortable bed we've ever slept on. You could feel every single spring in the mattress and every time you moved the sound of them rubbing into each other would wake you up. We ended up leaving a night early rather than endure another night of uncomfortable and limited sleep.

Clean room , very friendly stuff went above and beyond to make you stay comfortable. The location is very convenient to a lot of restaurant and shops..

Hotel assigned me a room that was not clean. Then gave a different room with queen beds instead of king with city view as booked. At 3:20 am someone tried to get in the room , stuff in am said they came “to check if bed was ready” Next day was promised to give the room with king bed was never given. Had to request multiple times to get some money back for a downgraded room. I think the hotel has no clue which room is clean and which guest was assigned.

The staff were great and helpful. Our room was clean. Breakfast could be better. Overall it was a good experience.
