Suwon Tree

Pretty good, the kids are happy.

The hotel location is good and it is clean. There is a microwave on the first floor, and each room has a refrigerator and a kettle. All OTT services work, so it is great.

I stayed one night at ‘Namu’ in Yeonmu-dong, Suwon, to see the night view of Suwon Hwaseong Byeolgung Palace. First of all, the accommodation fee was affordable, and since it is about a 20-minute walk to Hwaseong Byeolgung Palace, it was great to be able to take a stroll along the stream with my wife. There were also various restaurants nearby, so I was very satisfied with the location. However, there were a few things that were disappointing. The interior of the room differed somewhat from the photos posted on Trip.com, and while the overall cleanliness was good, the cleanliness of the pillow covers was lacking. Also, as a non-smoker, the lingering smell of cigarettes in the room was somewhat uncomfortable. If these aspects are improved, it is a good value accommodation that I would like to stay at again next time.

The owner doesn't speak English or Chinese; it's a motel, but the price is unbeatable, and it has everything you need. There was a strange smell in the elevator, but overall it's okay. It's fine for budget travelers. The place is quite clean, and the Wi-Fi is good. Ctrip is definitely a better deal; with tax, it was less than 200 RMB. I stayed for 4 nights. There's a reservoir nearby, so the location is very convenient. Bus number 13 is nearby. You can't find "Suwon Tree" or "Motel Namu" on Google Maps; try searching for "Suwon Tree."

It smelled a lot of cigarette smoke, but it's decent for a cheap one-night stay...! If you have a car and are hanging out in Haenggung-dong, I recommend this place.
