When you drive to the parking lot, the landlord’s sister will pick you up in person, and you can see a sign on the side of the road. The facilities are as stated in the comments, clean and tidy and upscale. Open the curtains to see the mountains, and the misty peaks come into view. We stayed at Suzhou Shuilumingsu hotel/B&B (苏州水庐名宿) on Xishan Island (西山岛) in the middle of Lake Tai (太湖) shortly after it first opened in 2021. The owners and the staff were very friendly, accommodating, courteous and helpful during our entire stay. It is not easy to find places that can be described as peaceful or quiet in China, however, this was definitely one of them.We enjoyed a whole day relaxing by the pool which overlooked several nearby islands and a huge expanse of the lake. The entire premises had a modern feel and was tastefully decorated. Our room was modern and relatively spacious. One room has 3 sides that are floor to ceiling glass giving a greater than 270° panoramic view of the lake and nearby islands. In addition to the peace and quiet, the general area Suzhou (苏州市) is home to many attractions that you would expect of a large Chinese city (and its surrounds), as well as some things that you might not. So there are plenty of options for entertainment and food. If you are looking for a place to get away from all of the hustle and bustle, then this is definitely a good option. Being on the southern side of Xishan Island (西山岛) it is a little remote, but still relatively easy to get to by car or bus being about 130km (2 hours) west of Shanghai (上海).

The inn is at the western end of Xishan Island. It is quiet at night. The lake is the best attraction to watch the sunset everywhere. It is worth mentioning that the proprietress's family is warm and hospitable, and recommended a suitable itinerary for us on demand. The next day I ate at the hotel for lunch. The loofah was grown by the proprietress's mother-in-law. It was natural and sweet, and the salmon soup was also delicious. It was almost eight o'clock in the evening. My daughter said that she wanted to eat the one for lunch, so she came back very late and the proprietress gave us noodles and fried eggs. The child ate very fragrant. The villa we live in is located between Mingyue Bay and Shigong Mountain on Xishan Island, Taihu Lake. Taihu Lake is at the entrance of the densely populated area.
