Hotel Nikko Suzhou Reviews

The Nikko is an excellent choice for short stay business trips. The Exec business lounge on 27th floor is a good option for busy people and the service and food there is very good. Nice 25m pool on level 6, but the water is a little chilly. High level corner rooms are great for sunset views over western Suzhou as well as the surrounding interesting architecture. Good hotel in good part of New District. If you go for the buffet option, go early👍

The hotel is in great condition, cleanliness is excellent. Communication with Lynne Guo is efficient and swift, I like it! Only thing, wifi worked extremely slow :( so difficult for working and the amenities is a bit lacking, such as tea and coffee

Good food compared with its' price. Survice is fabulous. Waiters in restaurant can tidy up dishes been used at once and room service also respends fast. The only dilemma is that the bathtub has not been cleaned carefully. Totally, good.

Did not meet expectations. Building has issues. -Rooms had temperature issues that the AC could not handle, Hotel tries to handle this with curtains and a paper notice (see picture. With the curtains closed Room was 35°C at check-in in winter because the room was on the sunny side). -Lack of hot water for the shower/bath in the evening, hotel said it has trouble handling peak hours (and they weren't even fully booked). -Shoehorn dropped in the middle of the night, waking us. Hanger is a double sided tape variety. -Other obvious maintenance issues like the electrical socket being misaligned, and the toilet seat having bad gearing in the smart toilet. -No decaf coffee available in the room, the staff said there is none (did not even know what it was). Normally with this brand of coffee the decaf is in blue packets. -Breakfast was mediocre at best. Pretty standard mainland fare. Line to the noodle stall was excessive, and for everything else the quality was lacking. On the positive side, the pool and the sauna were satisfactory. Good parking too. Firm bed for those who like it. Staff was fairly responsive despite, although Chinese is helpful. And for one of the 3 rooms booked we got an upgrade (although all of the negatives above still apply)

We have had a great time stayed at the Nikko hotel. The staff is friendly and courteous and the level of service is great. Particularly the lady at the front desk,( I completely forgot to obtain her name) who is so kind at explaining our needs to the cab driver and even asking the driver to contact the hotel should we face any difficulties in making payment through WeChat. What a kind and thoughtful gesture by her. Thank you.

Overall experience is good. Recommended for both leisure or business trip.

Extremely slow internet connection. This had nothing to do with a firewall and everything to do with their slow routers and connection. Cellular internet worked fine. Impossible to contact room service. Food showed up late.
