This was one of our favourite lodges. The location is absolutely stunning being quite a drive from the road. The rooms look like Hobbit dwellings - stone igloos, yet they are completely practical with locking wardrobes, solar panels to heat water in the shower, and your own private balcony with tremendous views. There’s no aircon but there is a fan. Depending on the time of year you develop a system of opening and closing the windows, to keep hot air in or out. Mosquito nets were provided but we weren’t bitten. We loved the rooms. There’s a beautiful swimming pool with sunbeds. For dinner there is an Al a Cart menu. At lunchtime other guests turn up for meals. We stayed 2 nights which gave us time to try a couple of the marked self guided walks. We had a great experience of watching a family of zebra for an hour. There were also oryx and Guinea fowl. You can watch the sunset on the patio, of the restaurant, with a drink just before dinner. Food was good and tasty.
