Amazing little countryside hotel. So serene and the facilities were amazing.

Lovely family run guesthouse in central Oudtshoorn. Extremely friendly and hospitable. Cosy, comfortable room. Pool. Secure parking. Good breakfast.

Being there for 3 Nights in March 2026, we enjoyed our stay at Roosje van de Cap very much. Ella and Ricardo are excellent hosts, giving their guests a feeling of warm hospitality! Rooms are big and comfortable with a nice view over the lagoon, and Ella‘s homemade is simply great. Strongly recommended! Karin + Kersten

A top-notch guesthouse in Swellendam. Our stay was unforgettable. The staff, room, cleanliness, and atmosphere were truly magnificent. Not to mention, the beautifully maintained garden. The guesthouse is within walking distance of most attractions, with good restaurants less than 200 meters away. We will definitely return to Roosje. From arrival to departure, you receive personalized attention; we felt comfortable staying here. Felt as being home.

Each room is set aside in the large garden, giving a feeling of privacy. Our rooms were large, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was delicious, everything on offer and freshly made. The hotel is just around the corner from the main restaurant street, very convenient. The walk up and down to the office and breakfast room might be tricky when it is raining.

Good location, friendly owner, nice, clean and spatious rooms. Also a nice garden and sitting area outside our room. Tasty breakfast, good with ”omelette on demand”. We can highly recommend it.
