"Staying in the penthouse on the 33rd floor was a luxurious experience. The views from both the apartment and the rooftop are absolutely stunning. Choosing this accommodation in Shenzhen was a 100% perfect decision! Everything inside is well-designed and modern. The lighting, electric blinds, and climate control are all managed by a smart home system. The beds, sofas, and armchairs are comfortable; there's a really large TV; and the workspace features a big desk with a comfortable chair. The shower has a thermostat, and the toilet is heated. We honestly didn't want to leave the rooftop—the views are mesmerizing. It's ideal for a family of three. The location is also perfect—close to Dongmen Street, the metro, and shopping malls. For the price, it's an amazing option! I highly recommend it."

GGuest UserSleeping with the Waves, Indulging in Luxury – A Perfect Getaway at MGM Shenzhen If you're looking for a dream-like escape in bustling Shenzhen, where you can ”face the sea, and watch the spring flowers bloom,” it has to be the newly reopened **MGM Shenzhen**. As a brand-new landmark in the Xiaomeisha area, it redefines Shenzhen's coastal resort aesthetic with its vibrant ocean-inspired design and the prestigious heritage of Diaoyutai MGM. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the magnificent sea view burst through the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows. I stayed in a **Deluxe Seaview Room**, a spacious 50-square-meter-plus space where the elegant combination of original wood and deep-sea blue felt incredibly sophisticated. The expansive balcony framed the **180-degree uninterrupted sea view** into a dynamic masterpiece. Waking up to the gentle sound of waves in the morning and watching the sunset paint the sea red in the evening – this sense of relaxation, sleeping with the waves in a city, is truly a luxury. ”Entertainment that moves you” is part of MGM's brand DNA, and the experience here goes far beyond just relaxing. The most impressive features were the direct access to the beach and the outdoor heated infinity pool. Although it was a bit cool in early summer, gazing at the sea instantly soothed my mind and body. In the evening, the **”M Show”**, straight from Las Vegas, captivated us outdoors with fire acrobatics and dazzling light effects, igniting the coastal night – it's an enthusiasm unique to MGM. However, the luxury hardware is just the foundation; the real warmth comes from the service. The day before my arrival, ”Peacock 🦚” from the guest experience department contacted me via WeChat to discuss my needs. Everything, from a bed rail for my child to beach slippers, was meticulously arranged. At breakfast in the Feast restaurant, the combination of Eggs Benedict and authentic Cantonese dim sum was a delightful culinary experience. At MGM Shenzhen, both the facilities and the heartfelt service truly deserve a five-star rating. It's not just about luxurious hardware, but also the gentle service that touches your heart. This wasn't just a stay; it was a magnificent memory of the ocean, art, and love. I will definitely return for our next anniversary.

WWurenzhishixigualaiMy stay at JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at Tomorrow Square was fantastic! The hotel's location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk from the metro station, which connects to 4 different lines, making getting around super convenient. Especially handy is the Line 11 airport express, getting you to the airport in under an hour. Plus, there's a shopping mall right next door, so shopping is a breeze. I stayed in an executive room this time; the layout and flow were well-designed, and the room amenities were thoughtfully detailed. Room service was also very prompt. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and the dining experience was great. The rice noodle rolls and ramen were made to order, and they even had tabletop cards to prevent long queues and crowding. The guest services team was warm, attentive, and responsive. Both the gym and swimming pool were quite clean. Overall, a very pleasant experience!

GGuest UserPros - Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre. - Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far). - Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes. - Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too. - Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do. After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services. - Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly. - Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi. Cons The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms: 1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms. 2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking. 3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time. It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard. I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself. Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.

YYao0106Hygiene: The hygiene was impeccable. Facilities: The large shower head was very comfortable, and the hot water came on quickly. The smart toilet was a nice convenience. They even provided bath bags for the bathtub. The pool was clean, and the poolside bar had a great vibe at night. There's also a robot that delivers takeaways. Service: Every staff member I encountered was incredibly warm and friendly. The front desk was very professional and even gave us sand-digging tools. They upgraded our room type, and everyone would proactively greet us when we came and went. The new lady at the front desk had a very friendly smile. On the morning of April 9th, the housekeeping auntie on the 3rd floor was exceptionally good; she immediately provided anything guests needed and was very enthusiastic. The hotel is right across from an outlet mall, which makes dining and shopping very convenient. Next time I'm in Dameisha, I will definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserCalice from Guest Relations was incredibly helpful. They arranged a room upgrade and guaranteed connecting rooms for us in advance, even organizing a special birthday setup. They followed up in real-time after check-in and surprised us with a cake. Their service was thoughtful, convenient, and truly dedicated. The room itself was huge and spacious, with a beautiful design and a lovely terrace – excellent value for money. The housekeeping staff were also very welcoming, and the turndown service was meticulous. The sea view was stunning, and I appreciated that there was staff dedicated to cleaning the hotel's sea area and maintaining the beach. The facilities were comprehensive.

GGuest UserThe day before I checked in, the hotel manager, Wendy, called me to ask about my needs for the stay and sent me the executive lounge benefits and timings, which I really appreciated! This time, I stayed in the 270° Executive Bay View Sunset Suite. The 270° floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning views of Shenzhen Bay, the Hong Kong skyline, the Shahe Golf Course, the 'Spring Bamboo' building, and the sunset. The hotel's breakfast and the executive lounge's food selection were both excellent. Shangri-La Shenzhen Nanshan is perfect for a relaxing getaway, with beautiful views for photos, a rich dining experience, and great spots for social media-worthy pictures. Highly recommended!

Ccircle920As the best hotel in Shenzhen, it truly lives up to expectations. Although it opened several years ago, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bedding and bath products are very thoughtfully chosen, and the welcome tea and snacks were a nice touch. The afternoon tea selection might not be huge, but it's very refined and tastes excellent. I particularly want to mention breakfast – the eggs Benedict were perfectly made, and the braised beef noodles were incredibly authentic. The fresh coconuts also met the high standards you'd expect from a luxury hotel. However, there was a small hiccup during check-in. When we arrived at our room, we found the door wide open and a man sitting on the sofa! Luckily, a staff member was passing by in the hallway. After hearing what happened, they escorted us to the lobby to clarify the situation. Leo, the lobby manager, sincerely apologized for the hotel's error, and the solution he offered was acceptable. For someone who has stayed in many ultra-luxury hotels worldwide, it's quite unacceptable for a Mandarin Oriental to make such a basic mistake. This was truly a first for me, and I hope the hotel takes this seriously!

GGuest UserThis hotel was my choice for this trip, and my overall experience exceeded expectations. The staff were incredibly sweet and friendly, making interactions very comfortable. Any requests were handled promptly and effectively. The room had a cozy setup, with warm lighting and soft furnishings perfectly matched, instantly relaxing me the moment I walked in. The biggest surprise was the variety of pillows available, allowing guests to choose one that suits their habits – a real plus for light sleepers. The room was meticulously clean, and all facilities were well-maintained. My entire stay was reassuring and relaxing. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel for future visits to the area.

TTenajestOverall experience is satisfactory even though there is some issue happened where the front desk has made immediate compensation. The hotel is near the fairy wheel and outdoor shopping mall that is very connivence. Hotel executive complimentary is the best, where I can enjoy the most in the hotel with tea, wine and late check out. The suite they compensate is very spacious and nice. However, due to the construction site next to hotel, the standard room is comparatively noisy and there are multiple flying ants existed in the room, which annoyed me. Hotel should be more cautious while they are cleaning and balcony should not open to avoid insects fly in from construction sites.

GGuest UserWe chose this hotel mainly because of its unique and distinctive design—and it definitely lived up to our expectations. The overall concept is quite different from standard hotel chains, with many thoughtful details that make the stay feel special. The location is another strong point. It’s situated in an interesting area, and the proximity to the metro makes it very convenient for getting around Shenzhen. We also found the price-performance ratio to be very good. Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety and quality. There are, however, two downsides from our perspective. The indoor pool was much colder than expected (around 19°C), even though it was advertised in the hotel as 26°C. For an indoor pool, this made swimming quite uncomfortable. We were offered compensation, which we appreciated, but it was still a bit disappointing, as we like swimming in the morning. Additionally, the gym is quite minimally equipped. Since we like to stay active while traveling, this was a small drawback for us. Service was generally okay: some staff members were very friendly, while communication was occasionally a bit challenging due to language barriers. Overall, we would still recommend this hotel—especially for travelers looking for a stylish and refreshing alternative to the large, more standardized international hotel chains.
