Leonardo Hotel Swindon - Formerly Jurys Inn

My mother and I checked in to Jury's Hotel Swindon for what was to be a short two-day stay for a convention. Due to a medical emergency and then us both falling ill, our two day stay turned into a seven day one. Jury's became our home away from home and couldn't have been better. The staff were all extremely supportive and kind given our unfortunate situation. I didn't catch anyone's name, but I wanted to especially thank two members of staff who helped me with my mother when she fell very ill and needed to go to the emergency room. The two ladies went above and beyond their usual work duties without any hesitation. I owe them a huge debt of gratitude and I certainly hope their supervisors recognize the amazing staff they are so fortunate to have. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view of Swindon, which is a charming town. Especially old town Swindon, just up the street from the hotel. It's centrally located on many major bus lines and is a short walk from the bus station. The buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious, as was every meal we had from the restaurant. My only complaint is that the room did not have a mini-fridge or microwave, which would have been extremely convenient for us, but we were able to eat just fine between the food delivery apps available and the hotel restaurant. I wish every hotel was Jury's Inn Swindon caliber. Well done. 👏

”Five stars! Our 4-night stay at Travelodge in January was an absolute delight. The hospitality extended to us was beyond remarkable, and the brilliant team consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The quality of service truly made our stay memorable. The culinary experience was equally impressive. The food surpassed expectations, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit. From breakfast to dinner, each meal was a testament to the hotel's commitment to excellence. While the car park is situated across the hotel, Travelodge thoughtfully provides a good discount, making it a convenient and cost-effective option. This minor inconvenience was easily outweighed by the overall positive experience. In conclusion, Travelodge excels in hospitality, service, and culinary offerings. We highly recommend it for a wonderful stay, ensuring your time there is both comfortable and memorable.”

When I booked the hotel, I wrote a parking lot. I didn’t go there. I have to pay another 9.5 pounds to the nearby parking lot. The service is not good. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 rooms. On the first night, we told the front desk that we wanted to change the second night. 1 is not changed.

On arrival there was a delay with checking in as my booking could not be found. I arrived 3 minutes before an online work commitment and was told it's up to me to call my agent because they did not have the booking, despite me being able to show a confirmation. Informed that I could not afford to spend 20 minutes on the phone with them. After a while they then realised another staff member already checked me in. I would imagine that staff is trained to first check all possible scenarios (arrival list, in house list, cancelled booking, no show, etc) before inconveniencing and worrying the guest. Stayed in room 229, large pink stain on the carpet, carpet is up for replacement. Bathroom was ok, but shower dial is loose. When changing temperature it takes 20 seconds for the change to pull through the shower head so for a first time guest was playing around with it and found it challenging to get the temperature I wanted. Showers in mens changing room in the pool need work. Silicone around shower entirely moulded. 80% of the lockers are out of action. Jacuzzi was not working. Bedside light bulb not working. Maid walked into my room a little after 9am. She has no right to enter print to my check out time. breakfast was so so. Asked for poached eggs. A plate with two watered down poached eggs arrived which tasted far too strongly like vinegar which was clearly used in the water to prepare them. No croissants, pain au chocolate or bread available for at least 5-10 minutes and despite 3 staff they only replenished when they were informed by guests and did not notice themselves.

Stayed recently for work and always like to make use of the gym when I stay away. Decided to start my days by taking part in the circuit classes run by Lee. Lee was great - motivational, welcoming and knowledgable and made me feel at ease. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again!

I stayed for two weeks whilst on business. The price for a single room and double was the same, so they gave me a double taking into account how long I was staying with them. The room was nice and spacious, plenty of storage space. Everything seemed recently refurbished in the last few years. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help: they made me a packed lunch instead of breakfast because I requested it, they let my girlfriend stay over for a weekend with no hassle at all. They even changed the wifi for me so I could have more bandwidth to do my online tutoring.
