We had a stopover in Swindon so that we could travel to Stonehenge for my wife’s birthday. I asked the hotel in advance to do something to mark the occasion, which they did very well. When we checked in, the room had balloons and happy birthday messages all around the room. Another thing that impressed me was the breakfast. I have just been to a Premier Inn hotel in London on business at the time of writing this review. While Premier Inn offers slightly more variety in their breakfast foods, the quality of food in this Holiday Inn Express is exceptional, light years ahead of Premier Inn. Well done, Holiday Inn Express Swindon West!

My mother and I checked in to Jury's Hotel Swindon for what was to be a short two-day stay for a convention. Due to a medical emergency and then us both falling ill, our two day stay turned into a seven day one. Jury's became our home away from home and couldn't have been better. The staff were all extremely supportive and kind given our unfortunate situation. I didn't catch anyone's name, but I wanted to especially thank two members of staff who helped me with my mother when she fell very ill and needed to go to the emergency room. The two ladies went above and beyond their usual work duties without any hesitation. I owe them a huge debt of gratitude and I certainly hope their supervisors recognize the amazing staff they are so fortunate to have. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view of Swindon, which is a charming town. Especially old town Swindon, just up the street from the hotel. It's centrally located on many major bus lines and is a short walk from the bus station. The buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious, as was every meal we had from the restaurant. My only complaint is that the room did not have a mini-fridge or microwave, which would have been extremely convenient for us, but we were able to eat just fine between the food delivery apps available and the hotel restaurant. I wish every hotel was Jury's Inn Swindon caliber. Well done. 👏

We hired the Parliament Room for our party. Laura and Alisha arranged everything we asked for, from the room layout, to the amazing food for the night. We had lots of comments about how good it was. We stayed here for a weekend break. The initial greeting from Ash on arrival was lovely - warm and friendly. We had room 3 which is a small double with en suite. It is well furnished with 2 chairs and a reasonable view across a grassy open bank. The room was well decorated and furnished. Good quality tea/coffee in the room. The rooms are situated away from the main building so nice and quiet, apart from other guests. The full English breakfast was gorgeous - well cooked and a great start to the day. Great coffee too. Small downside - no cereal/fruit/yogurt options, although granola or krispies were available on request. Although we didn't eat in, I think it would have been a great experience. I did have a pudding on arrival on the first night - rhubarb and custard. Don't be fooled by the name. It was a confection of mousse, hidden in a glazed shell and beautifully decorated with Italian meringue. It was glorious! At night the skies around are very dark with little light pollution so beautiful views of the stars and the milky way. Service was a little slow at times but Ash works long hours and is always willing to help. Would definitely stay again.

We arrived early in the morning, in the hope we could leave our cases while going to explore! We were welcomed straight away when we walked through the door with a big smile! We instantly felt relaxed. The attention to detail doesn't not go unnoticed from the decor inside and outside to customer care. The staff are a total asset, They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay. Breakfast had a fab selection of cold or hot options and was delicious 😋 . Dinner at the Crown was divine. (Did not want to share the apple crumble with my partner🤣) Our room had the same cosy wow factor as the rest of the hotel. Little touches like having the pantry and getting fresh milk delivered every morning, all add to charm of Wild Thyme and Honey. Thank you for such a lovely stay. We hope to visit again. Would recommend this hotel to anybody. We stayed in room 23, Watermill!

So we decided on a one night stay in a standard double room with optional evening meal and breakfast . The room had everything you need including A/C and the usual tv , Wi-Fi and coffee making facilities. The room was ultra clean with a lovely en-suite bathroom with both bath and shower over the bath . The only downside was the size of the room which was really very small and no room to unpack our case even . We ate in the restaurant and our starters and mains were absolutely delicious with lots of choice . A bit loud at times due to a large business table but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal . To sum up this is a beautiful hotel set in acres of quiet country side . It really is a stunning setting and we loved how peaceful it was . We will come again but will make sure to upgrade to a better room for sure .
